  1. This is great satire - welcome back and thank you for the humorous reply.
  2. If you really wanted to, you can unslot that proc, convert it to another IO in the set, slot it in another power, boost it +5, unslot it again, then convert it to back to the proc and slot it. Only if you're really crazy though 😜
  3. I don't know the details of the original post, but I am always supportive of saying thanks to our great Homecoming volunteers!
  4. Man half the fun is watching the Disney/Marvel/StarWars stuff then coming back here to read what folks who are way smarter than me come up with 😁
  5. This is an amazing idea! If I had any sense of recollection, I could say that I made a suggestion about this a few years ago. Something about how we can play as Tyrant and all those folks during the epilogues of certain storylines, why not create some generic [Tank, Support, Melee, Ranged] 'Signature' characters that folks can just roll with. Definitely a good idea, I want to say I had a similar idea, but maybe I am just misremembering and your idea is so good I want it to be mine lol
  6. I hear ya on this. I'm all about lowering the floor to entry, but also maintaining the skill ceiling.
  7. I think an easier way to answer this is to say all of them wowed me! From the very first time I spawned in to Outbreak, the music, the set pieces, the ambience! Everything felt like I had just stepped in to a world with depth.
  8. If I didn't get it the first time and I clearly both reacted to your comment and explicitly stated in a reply asking you explain it again, do you honestly think just linking the previous post that I was asking about is very helpful?
  9. Always welcome on trusty ol' reliable Indomitable 😄
  10. Can you tell me what you mean by those two terms if I'm missing what you're trying to convey? Thank you!
  11. So you're saying Arena matches are different than a PvP zone? Of course! I said so myself in a previous post. Semantics gets me in trouble sometimes 😆
  12. I want to give you the benefit of the doubt. I was a 'random' Homecoming player who was interested in this league after another player made an awesome YouTube video (which I linked on the first page) to promote the league and drum up interest. I wanted to have fun and win billions of influence in prizes. Just like when I participate in Homecoming sponsored Costume Contests, special events, architect entertainment monthly dev choices, and the like. I am a player just like you and everyone else that logs in to the game. Your opinion has just as much value as mine. If you were interested in joining the league (before rosters locked last week) all you would have had to do was raise your hand. You didn't need a build in advance, hell my team PLed three characters for me and gave me over 1.5 billion influence to slot them. I want to give you the benefit of the doubt.
  13. ??? This is an open PvP league that is sponsored by Homecoming for everyone and anyone to join. Before I assume, did you happen to read the post I made referencing the league? It's entirely open to anyone, the rules are based on input from the participants - hell I gave input myself and they changed the ruleset to reflect that in less than 24 hours.
  14. I didn't actually read the whole title before posting in this thread several times, but after seeing this comment I actually agree title is abrasive. May be worth trying a different title if further discussion is to be had.
  15. There's definitely referees in the organized arena league that I linked on the first page. Players that participate agree to a set of rules in advance of signing up and the rules are enforced during each game.
  16. There are ggs (short for good games) given after every match during pick up games on Tuesdays on Indomitable. This is likely the only organized PvPing occurring on the entire Homecoming server at the moment, so I'm assuming you are referring to something else? Careful with broad brushes! Speed ITFs and hardmode isn't the only way to PvE, there's tons of other stuff that fall under that banner. Same goes for PvP. On the other hand, I've heard some gutter talk as well and I just simply put the culprit on ignore and continue enjoying my game time.
  17. Definitely a grind to get a character in shape for a decent showing. I've grinded and farmed for the past two weeks for the upcoming Homecoming PvP Arena League Season 1 that I linked on the first page. I created three characters and had one in hand previously that was eligible based on the rule set for the league. Each build cost between 700 and 800 million influence, Alpha Tier Four unlocked, and specific build choices that maximize benefits for team 8v8 play. There are certain builds that shine under the current rule set, so teams will have specific layouts to maximize their competitive advantage. Every team communicates over voice chat for coordination of damage spiking, evading, gathering quickly for buffs, etc. All that stuff I just said is COMPLETELY different than PvP Zone play. PvP zones are the wild west, so to speak. Not like the horror stories people are bringing up from the old days on legacy before exploits were patched. No, I say it's the wild west because you're lucky if you see another player, let alone someone else who is actually PvPing. I'd venture to claim, with no evidence but my own anecdotes, that there are more badgers and roleplayers in PvP Zones than there are players who are there to PvP on all shards but Excelsior and RARELY Indomitable. Edit: Oh, I should add that the team I was selected for was generous enough to help me farm up characters and handed out BILLIONS of influence to ensure everyone on our team was well prepared. Very positive experience so far, recommend anyone interested in trying out PvP in an organized way to take part in the next season sometime after June when the current season ends.
  18. This already exists, it's called -Fly. Flight has what is called Fly Magnitude Protection - as long as the incoming -Fly does not cause the level of Fly Magnitude Protection that the player has to drop to zero, the player remains in the air. By activating Fly, Hover, Evasive Maneuvers and slotting the new +Fly Mag proc in to either of those three powers, a player can achieve a total of 10.3 Fly Magnitude Protection. That is enough protection for nearly everything in the game (outside of PvP). Additional Fly Magnitude Protection can be achieved with Group Fly, where each teammate in range of the player can grant stacking Fly Magnitude Protection.
  19. About 40 people have signed up for this player organized event in June. There are about 5 newish players trying out PvP in this organized arena format. When the league was drafted, everyone was welcome and put on a team. There are also weekly pick up matches on Tuesdays on Indomitable. There is a Homecoming PvP Discord and lots of helpful people interested in growing the community on Homecoming.
  20. Absolutely love the use of this gif. My favorite song of all time.
  21. 👏
