I see the same posters make the same suggestions about the game being too hard or wanting to change things to make it easier. I am diametrically opposed to these suggestions both from the standpoint of balance and because it would negatively affect my experience in this game I enjoy. I'm sure the same posters feel the same way about this game, but want change instead. I keep seeing GM Moogly pop in to threads and the take away I get is that there's no one way to play, everyone can enjoy the way they want to play, and make suggestions without being labeled or maligned, etc. I too want this community to remain populated and healthy. I just don't want to stop playing because of the changes others suggest ruin my experience.

Let's give a little love to COH content creators
Glacier Peak replied to FFFF's topic in General Discussion
Hey I'm subscribed to @Projector YouTube channel as well. The channel had a video on the LGTF advanced difficulty mode and I used it to be a better team leader because I wanted everyone to get the new badges at the time. I also ran it on beta just to get a good feel too. Anyways, good shout out! I think I am also subscribed to @M3z YouTube channel as well, but I haven't seen any new videos lately. Great channel for PvP content. Oh and @Living Brain 3000 has a great channel as well. Mostly breaking down how to run content across the game. -
Well I'd say submit a support ticket, but since it's not game related that doesn't sound like the right way to go. I'm pretty sure the Homecoming Team doesn't have a mailbox persay, so maybe just send a direct message on these forums to one of the folks with the yellow "Homecoming Team" forum titles.

The Council change was not good
Glacier Peak replied to jthequietone's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
In this same vein, Natterlings can combine in to a Lieutenant rank enemy. -
The pet can actually get pretty tanky if the Corruptor secondary has res/def shields. Cold Domination Frostworks caps the Ice Elemental health at 1606 hp and with the Ice Shield and Glacial Shield, it gets around the 75% res cap for the pet. If only the pet A.I. was a little more refined! https://cod.uberguy.net/html/power.html?power=pets.ice_elemental.resistance&at=minion_pets

How about just play the game? You make these threads over and over about how everyone should play a certain way (your way) and this powerset or that Archetype is awful - based on your posts on these forums I don't think you even play this game anymore.

Solo Act (TF setting/Badge idea)

They can all be run without issue if you follow my guide below: -
What a beta tester really should be focusing on.
Glacier Peak replied to Gibbler's topic in Open Beta Testing
You're listing qualifications, but anyone can beta test here. In fact, anyone can closed beta test also now. There is no need for anything but time and interest. -
If you're intent is to imply my responses in this thread were not respectful, please file a support ticket with a GM. This thread is about Halloween Elite Bosses. As such, I've made clear respectfully that I'm not supportive of this suggestion. The Homecoming Team has decided it's a change worth addressing and now it's on the beta shard for testing, so I don't have any more concerns to express and I believe the original poster has achieved their intent with this thread so there's nothing more to discuss.

The Halloween Elite Bosses were designed by the Homecoming Team in 2022 to provide engagement to teams and leagues during Trick or Treat. Period. Go to the beta patch notes if you don't believe me. I don't care that it will be even easier than before for a team or league to defeat the two proposed changed Halloween Elite Bosses - it was already easy enough to put an attack on auto and walk away to defeat them. Now teams and leagues can just go afk even longer without worrying about the Halloween Elite Bosses and still get 5 times the XP and Inf as normal Elite Bosses.

Aw yeah, it's that time of the year, looks like @Diantane chose Corruptors. I wonder if @Diantane went beyond reading the values in Mids or reading the description values in the primary powersets. Of course, to any who have read these threads in the past, you'll know that this won't be a discussion with @Diantane, instead they'll leave the thread to wither and die while everyone else is scratching their heads about what nonsense they just read.

If nobody posts these, you can also create a character on the beta shard that instantly levels to 50 and Incarnates are free and all unlockable without any effort. You can try out all the interface Incarnate abilities that way.
-
In a nut shell, as you leveled up, your character was granted more slots for your powers which you can use to slot enhancements that make your character stronger. I wouldn't worry about threads until you're comfortable with how your character works. Once you find your strengths and weaknesses, then dipping in to the Incarnate powers to shore up those aspects will require threads, shards, and Incarnate xp to unlock those power slots.

Indeed, the Halloween Elite Bosses were already too easy for teams and leagues, so this change doesn't really impact that experience. Edit: I'll further add that it is wonderful to have an enemy that can be soloed easily that also grants x5 XP and Inf. I sure would be disappointed if this proposed change impacted the risk to reward experience though!
-
It seems that this and the other Halloween Elite Boss suggestion threads had the effect they desired; Open Beta patch notes now indicate Halloween Elite Bosses now have some of their powers Level gated to Level 30 and Level 40. This is at the expense of team and league engagement, which is the trade off made to give solo players an even easier time defeating the Halloween Elite Bosses.

[OPEN BETA] Patch Notes for October 5th, 2024
Glacier Peak replied to The Curator's topic in [Open Beta] Patch Notes
These Halloween Elite Bosses were designed to make Trick-or-Treating in teams or leagues more engaging / lucrative / rewarding. Adjusting their powers based on Level gates, instead of having all of their powers available at any Level, is the opposite of providing an engaging experience for teams and leagues. Where is the "be better balanced" applying to? Teams and leagues already melt these enemies above Level 25 without issue. If this is an attempt to cater to solo players, it's at the expense of team and league engagement. -
So why no balance pass on Halloween EBs after 2 years?
Glacier Peak replied to mechahamham's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
These elite bosses will only spawn if you are above level 25. If you do get one solo and don't want to fight it, you can simply run away and they will despawn automatically after 60 seconds. Trick-or-Treat enemies have a 3-second safety window after they spawn before they can do anything, giving you ample time to escape if it's not a fight you want to take. This addition was meant to make Trick-or-Treating in teams or leagues more engaging/lucrative/rewarding.- 37 replies

A great point to make in a suggestion thread from someone who wants to change the game for everyone just to fit their unwilling adaptation of playstyle that everyone else uses. Luckily those types of sweeping changes aren't made very often by the Homecoming Team, so this thread and the other Halloween Elite Boss suggestion threads can return to their grave (again) until next year when the same posters make the same zombie suggestions (again).
