The Violet Mote is like that sometimes. Even bumping in to it, or staying next to it for a few seconds will fail to grant the temp power. I've seen this with the Yellow Note as well.

Unless I'm glued to the Tank (who is already fine on def/res) or play ping pong with the Ranged ATs, I've found the team buff toggles to be a convenient coincidence rather than a devoted play style. The radius on them is too low for modern frenetic team movement, but works well in slow and steady teams (80ft for Widow toggles, 60ft for Leadership toggles)

Certainly agree with you on the comparison, but if a player/league tires of the overcrowded murder motel in Peregrine Island or the lag; Kallisti Wharf does have a building that gives a decent comparable if a player/league is okay with 14 doors instead of 17. Kallisti Wharf: Located at [5673.7 50.4 5155.2], this building has 14 doors all within 30-60 yards (60-120ft) of each other.

What is the suggestion?

Exactly. I was just saying in another place that it's at the point where changes are going straight to live shards for testing because there aren't enough players through the current means.

The Well shares with those it deems worthy. No Incarnates in game willingly share their power, however. Statesman's was stolen from him, Hero 1 was brainwashed, and Lady Grey, Lord Recluse, Trapdoor, Hamidon, and Tyrant (anymore) aren't sharing either.

This makes more sense to me if that's what the OP is suggesting. Especially the Incarnate components. It was an interesting idea at the time to tie the Incarnate xp and components to specific Incarnate trials - but since the game now grants this stuff across all content drops, it seems moot.

What is this Quality of Life suggestion trying to address? It's not inconvenient for a player to travel from Grandville, Monster Island, Port Oakes, Sharkhead Isle, or Kallisti Wharf (and Independence Port, Peregrine Island, or Striga Isle for Rogues, Vigilantes, and Heroes) via the Smugglers Submarine to go to the Abyss. And Eden has its own SG teleport beacon that drops players close to the Hive entrance.

I don't see what the problem or issue that this suggestion is trying to address.

Ah, I didn't realize you wanted to be able to attack an enemy or mob, but not to be attacked by them. That would be insanely overpowered in CoH, and really in any game.
