  1. I think if you play the set enough, your feelings will blow over. Every new set comes with a learning curve and Storm Blast is not forecasted to change that reality. Beyond the set having some damage mitigation built in via knocking enemies back, up, or down, it can also chain a maelstrom of damage output together with its Category Five and enhancement driven slotting. If you are not interested in the theme or the situational benefits, that's a cool breeze too.
  2. Maybe they closed their inspiration tray while in Outbreak and haven't been bothered by the red text since then. A new player might not even need inspirations now that the game is so much easier than when it first came out. Set bonuses, uniques, temporary powers, proliferated powersets for team buffs, the list probably goes on - and what's the big deal if a player is defeated when they're playing these days? Debt? Ha! Visit to the hospital? Base instead? Or better yet, go to the hospital and just use a mission teleport, or if the player is really broke, take the shoe lace express and use their massively buffed travel power speed to get there in a fraction of the time. Maybe I solo too much these days, but so what if a player is defeated.
  3. No, but I can understand why someone would want to. That was a popular thing to do right after CoV released, except with Villains.
  4. Take a look at this website: https://cod.uberguy.net/ CoD gives players in-game data about powers, effects, lots of cool stuff if you like to nerd out. Then look at the specific powers you have a question about: There are two little icons on the far right side of the "Effect Group" that describes how the power interacts with the caster and others. For this example, "Heal Other" is stacking per caster and stacks with existing effect. This means multiple players can cast "Heal Other" on the same target and it's effects can apply at the same time. Once you get the particular power effects down, you can move on to the proc itself: After searching for the proc name (Numina's Convalescence: Reg/Rec for this example), I can look at the "Effect Groups" and do the same thing - look at the right side to see how it interacts with other casters and effects.
  5. I would like to pile on to this website suggestion thread and request that the reactions from the HC Discord be added to the HC Forums.
  6. The closest I've managed to align the colors is making a gold/yellow selection. I did this by using the "Helper" title, making my badge and name and title as close as possible to that, and then also grab the event winner title if they still do those.
  7. Ice Blast is an S-tier set tied with Fire Blast for its single target damage output, proc-potential, secondary effects, and "coolness" factor 😁. Blizzard is awesome when used in combination with Ice Storm and Sleet (if you're Cold Domination). The activation time of Bitter Freeze Ray is looooooong ☠️
  8. Where's my knife back! ... and the reaction like "Torch"? ....and also maybe bring back Forum Badges!
  9. 🔪 @Number Six I can't see your knife emoji, but I can feel it!
  10. That damage description thing was based on a system that isn't really effective anymore, mostly because of inventions (set bonuses and procs). Powers do follow a standard damage formula based on recharge time, attack animation, end cost, number of targets affected, and positional typing. On the topic of the power set itself, I've learned that positioning and the mechanics or "gimmick" of the set really comes in to it's own when rotating through the full set of powers and it's knocking back or down effects.
  11. Such a great conclusion to that story arc. I loved playing that arc afterwards and getting a satisfying lore based ending.
  12. I think you're right, but I went and found all those references a few years ago, so I wanted to keep the thread alive 😆
  13. Well folks it's been another year and I unfortunately don't have any new updates to put in the original post. Perhaps things are progressing, but I am not privy to it. Either way, I am happy to still be able to play this game four years later!
  14. Halo: The Master Chief Collection upon release and upwards of five years after release it was not a playable game. I don't mean that in the exaggerated way that some folks say something isn't polished or is missing features - it would literally not work and I was given a free game from Xbox for the developer's poor showing. Halo Infinite - good lord, where do I start? I should've learned my lessons with the aforementioned game, but I had such hopes for 343. For anyone who has played the multiplayer beta for the past year and a half, it still isn't what the developers promised over four years ago. Assassin's Creed Unity: Another example of a game releasing that didn't work and I was given a free game from Ubisoft. After a few patches, it was playable and enjoyable.
  15. I'll try my hand at this one - "All You Need Is Kill" was a superb novel, then graphic novel/manga adaptation. Plot Synopsis: Then Hollywood adapted in to a movie with Tom Cruise and Emily Blunt that was pretty entertaining. "Edge of Tomorrow"
  16. That's nonsense! It's the best pairing in the game. It plays solo or teaming better than anything else in the game - I say this as having done all the content in the game that can be soloed on my main Ice/Cold Corruptor Glacier Peak. So yeah, I'm a bit biased! 😅
