  1. I'll see if I can cast a dark ritual of my own and summon some of our more writerly fellows. Otherwise known as @'ing them and see if they respond to the on-screen tell. Abraca- @Dacy @EyeLuvBooks @QueenBethari @Darth Delicious @Caemgen @Flashtoo -pocus!
  2. @Apple Thank you for the list and tutorial. Hope you post more artz in the future!
  3. I thought I heard coughing. I'd say this is done but I know better, more tinkering on the way.
  4. @TheOtherTed There are much better writers here than I (many are MIA of late) but how about something like a dark ritual gone awry in a place that has a strong affinity with nature (to better tie in to her powersets)? She has a very dark premonition of something bad that will happen to her beloved emperor Cole but her vision is blurry so she ventures down into the Underground and fights her way past the zombies only to be attacked & implanted with spores by the Avatar of Hamidon? Or maybe she tries to scry for her own fate using the Ley Lines on top of the Westerman Building (mentioned as a ley Nexus in the 2nd part of Cerulean's arc) in First Ward but gets interrupted by Diabolique?
  5. This is a sketch I'm finishing up from back in 2017 of DD's eponymous hero. I'm giving it a monochromatic color tint and softbrushing now as well. More to come.
  6. @DJ1 I am still ironing out the details of what, when and how to set it up. There wasn't a whole lot of participation last time I held one but that was a long while ago and there are more people here now so I'll give it another go. @Icanav You're welcome. Yes this was my first try at Dispatch. Working on it, more info coming soon! Thanks. That specifically is a long overdue gift art but something like it could be a prize maybe. We'll see. @Clawdebt Um yes? Is that surprising? That's good because I have more to post now.
  7. And the in between phase, which is all DD's work, filling in the rest of her hair before flats and coloring.
  8. @Icanav Here is the original sketch I wasn't keen on, should be obvious if you are familiar with Caemgen's cast. @Caemgen thanks, yeah Mummy Queen was the name I was trying to think of. I hadn't even considered questions like what was Techie before he was a "brain in a jar" or the fact that Zombette could practically be a one woman melting pot. I know I say it often but it would make for an interesting story.
  9. @Caemgen doesn't have any that I know of but he is always coming up with new heroes. There is N.O.W.A.B. (Number One With A Bullet) and a relatively new Egyptian that are fairly tan but those two are the darkest that I have seen thus far. She was originally drawn to be caucasian, I'll go see if I can dig up the original drawing tomorrow, you'll know if you see it. Thanks Icanav, glad you like it. I've got more progress on older stuff on the way as soon as I get some time to do the finishing touches. I'm also considering hosting a forum game/contest if there's enough interest. Hint...
  10. Indeed. A woman of strength, a woman of science. ... also DIBBS!
  11. I really enjoy Liberty Vanguard in her "Rosy the Riveter" pose Flashtoo. Very well done.
  12. https://www.instagram.com/leohirok/ You could try and see if that is his instagram even though it's off by a letter. Normally I would check it out myself before posting but I'm not going to make an account there just for that. Comrade Hero, whom I've drawn as well... had his hero done by that same artist and he spelled it with a K at the end so perhaps that is why you are having trouble finding him?
  13. @Seen2BeGreen Thanks! Yeah for a sketch that I wasn't going to do anything with it was great seeing where someone else could take it. As for the hair, DD actually has a digital hair brush she made herself but either she forgot about it or she wanted a challenge because she did this all by hand. Love the results though. Here is another contest winner's hero, an Electric Melee/Shield scrapper, Bolt Lord.
  14. @Banazir Galasbor you're "Kraken" me up over here. Anyone know what do you get when you add ( 8 + 3.14 ) ???
  15. This was originally going to be one of Caemgen's cast drawn for his birthday back in 2018 but I ended up going with a different sketch instead. I mentioned to DD that I had an orphaned drawing laying around and she asked me to send it to her. This appeared a little while later.
  16. @First Player While they were standing there posing up a storm, that "patrol" missed someone tagging the wall right next to them. Must have be a Stalker who's really into Anarchy. That there are 3 car owners somewhere in Paragon City with exactly half the hub caps they think they have?
  17. Glad to hear it. Do let us know how it turns out.
  18. @EnnVee Thank you for the kind words. I am glad there are those who enjoy what I am doing here. */e hugs Ennvee* Thanks @Seen2BeGreen I was going to say indecisive, but sure we'll go with creative instead. Green background is your favorite and the fx should be all green, got it. No bias to a particular color at all. Without a background it would be just that. How it looks would depend on where you post it. Here it would be the forums pale blue (as below) but if you right click it and choose "view image" you can see the background changes to the off-white background of the hosting site. It would be much the same in Windows (near white). I've got other older projects that I am making headway on and some new stuff coming soon.
  19. Ummm the monkey is a secret automaton and it's all a Nemesis plot? The monkey needs weapons to free his (Rikti) brethren from the monkey fighting pit? The monkey likes stealing from Gray Ming, even absurd things like stealing the spots off of his face? I think your idea above would be funny too. In the background of any image you could have his ponytail silhouette chasing a monkey silhouette. It doesn't need explaining if it's a running visual gag. These are of course just suggestions, swipe them or ignore them at your leisure. @DJ1 I had several building detail related musings. Flutes are the long vertical grooves in a column. I didn't say freeze (or frozen) I said Frieze, notice the spelling. In architecture a Frieze is the wide central part of the horizontal beam that runs along the tops of columns. It is often decorated with carvings of words, symbols or figures. The last panel has a frieze that ingame is a repeating pattern of two symbols but if you look closely @ToxinFox has replaced them with a simple alternating XoXoXo pattern. For any not up on their semiotics this is very similar to the X's and O's at the end of hand written letters used to convey "hugs and kisses." Only Fox knows if it was intended as such or just easier to draw than the symbols the game uses.
  20. Get what you needed @Erratic1? Here's brief summary of that thread... AE: Make a mission in Architect and recreate your alts as "rescues" then play the mission and save them all. They follow you and then you can pose with them. Not too difficult if you know how to use AE (I never tried it myself) and decent results. Photo Manipulation: Take screenshots ingame and composite them yourself in the art program of your choice. While it's the most difficult (a steep learning curve) it gives total control over the results. Demo Edit: Find Choose a map. Record a quick demo from each position you want one of your alts to be. Open the demo file as text and replace the code at each location with the code for one of your alts. It's quick and easy with good results. Also lets you do things that are not possible in-game. Example: Note not only the Croatoan Witches in Bloody Bay but the fact that I am standing on the Meteor which the game doesn't allow. Bio from '09.
  21. I'd heard a few other cities adopted the slogan after Austin. Portland... would make sense. Forgot to say thank you above, so thank you! As DD said it was a treat to be included in your comic.
