  1. This trilogy is very much Gold side niche, designed to give Praetorian players at least a bit more time Gold side before they either leave for Primal or head on to First Ward. The three arcs are labelled as a continuation of the Power storyline in pre War Praetoria. Transmuter is indeed an Imperial City contact. I'm not sure about the mention of Faultline. Mr. G appears post War in St. Martial, with a rather cool arc. Provost Marchand has a parallel arc to Mr. G's post War one, set in Brickstown. And Praetor White = Marauder. Here's a list of NPCs that might help: And you were supposed to meet this person: And this guy gets a mention too. And Bridge of Forever even has a little Easter Egg in the form of a "Post Credits" scene in the final mission. If you complete and DON'T leave but go exploring you run into someone 🙂
  2. It's not missing in all of them though. I know it's definitely missing in Kings for instance.
  3. The more I read this, the more interested I get. Tempted!
  4. Currently reading my way through Aberrant in order to run it. Ran the OG version 20 years ago, bloody hell. Loved it.
  5. Following a recent chat I had with Faultline (on other stuff), it was revealed tangentially that base raids are probably not ever coming back because of the nature of current SGs/Bases. HC's SG/bases allows Hero/Villain/Rogue/Vig/Loyalist/Resistance members to both be part of the same SG(VG or whatever a Gold version is called) and be in a base at the same time. But while on the same SG a hero and villain cannot team up in there - so no doing ouro missions together via the crystal, off to Ouroborous itself for that. Allowing them to team would involve a rewrite it seems of the old base raid code, which was janky as hell to start with, and could rewire base items as targets for members of the SG, never mind an actual base raid. I think I'm remembering all that correctly, it's late and I haven't slept.
  6. I was lucky enough to be in a dedicated RPG/Larp/Game society in college.
  7. Well, I'm in agreement with BOTH of you here (how novel!). Mining the lore AMA for material is obviously a useful thing to do, however I'ver run into more than my fair share of "gatekeeping idiots" who think that these are "prophecies of what must be!" ...ahem. COH canon = What's in the game/novels/comics, and that's it. And even those are subject to retcon if HC so decide. And frankly that's a good thing. Surprises can be wonderful. The trouble with gatekeeping adherence is there isn't any surprise. And back to the topic!
  8. I got through 1 to 20 (and beyond!) on a Mind Control/Empathy Controller. Grab some invis along the way, the Ghouls are your buddies! Can't Confuse the boss? Well, his minions are hammering him for you so that's handy.
  9. No, I think attitude and intention and people's mood are important and frankly I see people just not reading the room properly, all that leads to what we're describing as "team stealing". I've never seen anyone leave a team because the leader didn't hand over a star. I HAVE seen a player quit because they weren't given it though. And I have seen a player argue about handing it back. All this is anecdotal to me though. YMMV.
  10. "Team stealing" aside, I see far more teams being called for by players who just have a way they like doing things and will be simply abusive to anyone who joins their team who doesn't play how they like, to the point of quitting as leader if things aren't going their way. I've been on one of those teams, and I never team with that person anymore. Last week I saw them call out for an ITF, about five minutes later another person starts recruiting for an ITF. I joined that one. We had finished the temple ambush when the other team declared they were full and about to start, because too many of us now know what that "leader" is like.
  11. To be fair, I cannot say anyone decides "I'm going to steal that team/join it and bully them into giving me the star". But anecdotally, because I've seen what looks like it, I think there are those who join a team and decide "this would be better with me as the leader, so I'm going to try to get the star off them." Again, that has two effects. (a) you're nice about it or (b) you're a gobshite. No one here is complaining about (a).
  12. Well, we're in Lebowski territory now, that's just like your opinion, and similar with me.
  13. I said "attempting to steal", your definition is better.
  14. Oh, it's not the rules of 5th ed, it's the rest of the malarkey that happens when a bunch of Edgelords get control of a game they loved playing a certain way, and then made that way the official stance. Rant over.
  15. It all depends on the intent of who is asking to take the star. Just stating "I'm a 50, give me the star so we can increase the level" frankly IS attempting to steal the team. If you want to do that form your own team. If you ask "Hey, if you pass the star to me we'll all get a bump up in XP et cetera, you cool with that?" I would say that's fine and not stealing - depending on their actual reaction when told "No thanks." It is all situational. With so many things the reading of text chat can be very dependent on both the chat skills of the writer and the mood of the reader, and that's being generous to both sides there.
  16. Please tell me you're not running 5th. (Also, Wraith/Orpheus will always be BEST!)
  17. And the Praetorian Team Transport is very nice. There's two there, it does't have a double canopy. 🙂
  18. Gold siders can't go to Ouro but they CAN access Ouro via a base crystal. Unfortunately they can only team with other Golds in a base. (Level 50 Gold here, been pushing the boundaries of what a pure Praetorian can and can't do for a while now). OR if you are crazy enough, you finish Neutropolis (do take a detour to try out the three Pre War Praetorian AEs in my sig, level 19-25 :P) and head to First Ward via the Doorman in Imperial Underground. The crossover mission is still active, you just get a different flavor of life!
  19. I'll cross post this, because there's some nice stuff if you scroll down.
  20. ROFL. Sure. What's the pay rate?
  21. Well, "Bridge of Forever" doesn't introduce you to the Doorman, but it does send you to First Ward and tell you how to get there via the Imperial Underground. Possibly a Gold version of an EAT, like a DUST or TEST trooper would have an arc that extended into First Ward. I'm thinking that while Loyalists can take the missions from Doorman and so on, narratively, considering the War on Magic, they really should have a different introduction to the zone.
  22. That's pretty nice, and gives some life to KR. If you've done "The Freakish Lab of Dr. Vahzilok" then And a few others could come along for the ride!
  23. They are still not doing that very well!
  24. Cast Idris, or a beefed up Blair Underwood as BAB. Oh ya.
