  1. Well no one is forcing you to stay in this one single topic. If you want to discuss other topics you are free to do so but I don't know why you feel the need to police others discussions.
  2. I understand it would be a huge amount of work for an AT which is probably already the most resource intensive already. I remember from reading stats somewhere on the forum that MMs are one of the most popular ATs at lower levels yet one of the least popular at 50. That tells me that for many players they start out attacted/intrested in MMs and actually start likely the class less the more they play it. That to me is a major red flag.
  3. Honestly bake all the upgrades in. If Equip is dull at 6 how is Upgrade any more compelling at 32? Every other AT is almost always starting to get their best, most build defining abilities at 32 and MMs get Upgrade Equipment. To put into perspective how mindless these abilities are we don't even bother which using the different names. I can just say Equip and Upgrade and everyone knows exactly what powers I am talking about even if they have not played Thugs.
  4. While perma Hasten is almost a feature of all my builds the point is that now that recharge no longer matters for pet powers in anymore pet IO slotting has become even simpler. My preferred change: Make the upgrades auto since they now have low End costs, are AoE and a low CD and then use those power slots for something that is an ACTUAL tactical decision. What if Equip/upgrade were are pet only Build Up effect? 30sec duration, 2-3m CD? They need not be only damage but also defensive (regen?) or utility (Taunt?). There would be so much design space. You could have Bots using Temp tech powers, Ninja's with fancy new martial arts, Lich casting new spells, etc.
  5. Compared to upgrading resummoning (with its old long cooldown) was of far greater importance then whether you upgraded your pets or not. If we are going to 'tactical decision' argument then shouldn't the pet upgrades go back to single target because in mid combat you would have to prioritise which pet to upgrade based on tier, gained abilities according to the situation? What are way to really show your skill! With the reduced end cost, AoE nature and minimal cooldown the upgrades have been stripped of virtually any level of tactical thought yet suddenly this last step is a bridge too far.
  6. I am eyeballing Group Fly. It's far from a perfect solution but the ability to move through the air and just have my pets fly with me in outdoor areas will help a lot. It will also help against ground hazards which give pet AI fits.
  7. Long resummoning times we a far greater incentive to keep your pets alive them the upgrade buttons were. Take for example Thugs. If one of my Enforcers die not only do I lose a high damage pet but also half on the Enforcer auras so its a priority to bring them back. Base Enforcers come with the Manueveurs Leadership aura so it caps my pets defence to keep more pets dying leading to a cascade failure. The upgrade only adds some extra attacks and DPS auras. Which do you think was the more critical decision in this case: resummoning while managing long resummon times or when to upgrade pets? If it really was about rewarding pet management then upgrades should be auto but pet resummoning times extended. 6 pets with no upgrades can still fight. 6 dead pets with all the upgrades cannot.
  8. To me clicking upgrades adds nothing tactically to MMs. Did ST upgrades, long recharge summon times, shorter range pet auras, pets not persisting through zones, group fly having limited range for pets add extra complexity to MMs? Yet those charges were/are all cheered on. What arbritary line does auto upgrade powers cross? Are people trying to say wether or not to click the upgrade equipment button is some great tactical decision? I would argue that long resummoning timers were something I did have think about and plan for especially in high damage situations. Yet here we are.
  9. For me my MMs have two modes: Stationary: Life's great and I feel super powerful. Moving: Oh crap. Automatic upgrades combined with the new reduced summon times would make me much more mobile. I could fight in a location, unsummon, zip off to the next location, quick resummon and I am into the action again. MMs probably have the largest gap between theoretical effectiveness and practical effectivness.
  10. Hmmm. If they fix some of the QoL issues (reupgrading when a pet dies, slow pet movement speed, more range on pet auras, etc) there is some potential there. Its not just Robots that benefit. Sets with a clear 'tank' pet with the rest ranged benefit too (Demons and Thugs for example).
  11. At this point anything SR/. I like SR so much now since it has such a small IO footprint. It just does not take a lot of slots to get viable defensive measures. Those slots can be used for more punching power. The free recharge and early game strength help a lot too. Whenever I try to convert a SR/ to a SD/ build I always run out of slots and have to start skimping somewhere.
  12. Honestly think the Resist ATO is a little overrated. While its great in AoE situations (in a damage aura for example) in ST situations if you calculate its proc rate and uptime it often is barely maintaining 1 stack.
  13. To me the problem isn't the defence. SR has just as much if not more def with capped DDR yet SR, while excellent, does not crush every other Primary. What makes EA so good is that it gets SR level DEF against ALL of the most common damage types AND some decent resists against those same damage types. Looking at the Brute numbers you a see EA with a ~5% edge in def and a ~15% edge in resist against S/L/E/NE. Considering how its that last 5-10% of def/res stats that make the biggest difference in survival that is a significant edge. The +recharge and end management is just the big fat cherry on top.
  14. Or you could just do a like for like comparison using the same scalers on the same Brute with the identical setup (+3% def uniques, +res uniques, Tough/Weave, CJ, etc): EA def is on a similar level to SR but focused on the main damage types (S/L/E/NE) but has better res (again the most common damage types) also gets +recharge but also gets +regen and better end management. That's before Energy Drain shenanigans.
  15. Similar in style but weaker almost across the board. EA gets a lot more defence and more resists (which are also on more common damage types), has +recharge, +regen and far better end management. Ice/ gets a HP buff.
  16. One day we will get Energy Aura Tankers. Hopefully not a completely gimped version.
  17. One of the biggest boosts a solo ST rotation can have is to fit the Ach Heel and Glad Fury -res procs into a ST rotation. Claws is better off then most because it has: A -Def attack in Slash (that can fit in Ach Heel) A decent animating PBAoE (for Glad Fury, many PBAoEs animate so slow they kill any bonus you gain from the -res proc). A fast animating targeted AoE in Shockwave (for Annihilation). Does not need to dip into Mu Mastery for it either so can get Gloom. My rotation is: FU-Gloom-Focus-Slash FU-Shockwave-Evis While the 2nd part of the rotation does less DPS then the first 1st the extra flat -res from the procs more then makes up the difference. *edit new stuff* Okay I realised I did my -res calcs completely wrong so I redid my build and rotation. It's slightly less DPS then before (~380 paper DPS to equal level targets as compared to ~390 before). This is ignoring any BU procs (I unslot during calcs) and no Hybrid activation. Rotation is: FU-Slash-Gloom-Shockwave FU-Slash-Evis Dropped Focus since it does not work well with Gloom (only 1 can take the Apocalypse package). Then took Dark Obl for an extra AoE with KD when AoEing (Evis is no good for that). Gives me 3 AoEs with KD plus Darkest Night making it super safe too. | Copy & Paste this data into Mids' Reborn : Hero Designer to view the build | |-------------------------------------------------------------------| |MxDz;1539;745;1490;HEX;| |78DA65544B4F135114BED34E8196022DA5BC5F2DD0165A86168DA0822488181E4D8| |81877A6A9708186A6349D1271E9AF604310C4856E5CB970EB9FF0B930AE64C3C367| |620CD6D3F90E65924E3AFDEEFDCEDCEF7CE7CCBD13DF9A72BEBCFD784228CE9BE9A| |4AE27EE2633EB32678B2757534BA27855D2DD0136312557644697DAE266966677E4| |4A5A6E49BD9EA371999652239987BA7B26B326733293D7CE07CE858D8DB4362F93D| |95466B5EE7CB22C73FA5A2A5B63CCA753AB6B798A3A8CD96256CAE5A65BD9D49236| |99DBCCCBC4E2C6663A114FEA79997BD44CA622748F34D29F52B4595085970631555| |81A80AA8BD10D7478803B41C157C12ADE590D6EF03D70E80330F611384AFA0AEB2B| |E7FAAC5BC1799CACEBE43CBBA46F85BECD1AB01067171503C0AAB0055E12140EAAC| |215429EDA37C47B547195F2D9904FB119FA7651EB055EA75825C72A3956C5B16B14| |B32326EC3E617063C45583B355FF409E86EFC0C6639E9F009B4F99FFC6486FBD86F| |56ACE8A3B40157B54571DD75577863AEAFF02DBFF015B0B4097804EFFBE6AE03879| |71B377377BAF67EFFBA4EB512C86AEE713D675BE655FDC9FF675019EFBD6FD82F39| |34F2FFBF472DD1EE29AB8EEA65D3CE77B02ECDCE7F91E30F014183B00DE209F2DAC| |D732889C0AE9B5A16ED156A04B5889E9E05DD1F1070E7B7E5A8DECBE5FC0DE61F0B| |D452BD43D3FADE9E20E7485E134C878401DF07367FDA3D8290363C0C8389CF51C5B| |0C9D1EEE6CEF04F019ADEDE3B57DC35813B8020CBE460583169B8191AFBCDBBF009| |70842BC3614E1BC51C618F2F647F84D1E227F64076F40A57AC2A8C71A9EE353338B| |DA87A61967809240E30E6A23D0FDEC1422CA5CF41572B6ABA59349BF62A7FBD5D2F| |92E0C9445A3654CAC8CB954C65C2E63E6CD8C1DFE16544E4C9C623C657795CE75E1| |C851FA2E0885F7C989C3F4AD3844475A8F80DD3EC67BF846046615A38BC7669D107| |44E2F3845D9869BE06F9CA30547918587FBA671D2347E601ACF7968198F9FFB2FC6| |DB26FE3FC6C6F693| |-------------------------------------------------------------------|
  18. Honestly haven't run pylons with it yet. Just comparing the math with some other Tanker builds I have and what they reached it should sub 3 mins the question is by how much.

Very high AoE, ST and survivability. ST rotation: Follow Up, Shockwave, Evis Follow Up, Gloom, Focus, Slash The flat -res procs in Shockwave and Evis make up for the DPS loss. Currently just need to finish my Incarnates off.
  20. Post is from weeks ago. EM will be king of ST no doubt but its AoE is nothing special and is the weakest defensively. Got no issue with it now.
  21. Finally I don't have to look like Naruto or The Beast when I using a prestige travel power!
  22. Only true pylon tragics use +hit powers and +acc set bonuses so that they can max damage and proc slotting. *Looks at his latest build* Tragic indeed...
  23. I like Galaxy Brains test because they are not personalised. We all have our quirks and preferences when building but we have to realise the vast majority of players are not spending hours pouring over Mids tweaking a build then spending even more hours testing and evaluating them through spreadsheets. I am currently building a SR/Claws Tanker who's performance looks totally awesome with a unique rotation that I have not seen anyone else use. But I would hardly expect the Devs to balance Claws around my build.
  24. Actually I updated my post about them. You must of missed the edit. The fact is TW as per Galaxy Brain's tests is perfectly fine. Still one of the best sets just not the perfect one. So the only complaints left are subjective ones and honestly everyone has opinions.
  25. I was referring primarily to the big hits. The DoT removal does not affect big hits but its true the Momentum recharge does. You keep talking about quantitive analysis yet I have yet anything except a few pylon tests from you. The game isn't balanced around pylons. In fact the only player who has 'run the numbers' in any types of varied measured setting is Galaxy Brain. Your primary complaint seems to be how you can't find your own personal rotation that is better then a public one. The very definition of subjective.
