  1. Until you have enough defense or support though, you don't go into melee until the alpha is broken and the tanks/brutes/scrappers have gone in. Of course if there's plenty of support available can just go crazy. Good idea to stay within range of everyone's Maneuvers though.
  2. I got a blaster to 50 in Pugs with 3 total defeats, I like to wade into melee.
  3. I wonder which has a bigger playerbase these days? CO which is technically still an active title? Or COH homecoming, etc I didn't mind the look of CO but I never actually found teams so my experience the was short lived.

  7. Not really - ST a Blaster often doesn't have to move to start doing damage, and many secondaries melee attacks are stronger than Scrappers. Burn one Boss down and then shoot the next one .. close to Melee when you want to. Scrappers need to close. So over time, over the course of a Mission, in the dynamic sense, the Blaster will often do more ST damage. Then when you add in AOE, its no contest. Against an AV or a Pylon? Sure the Scrapper can do More.

  10. Some of the best melee attacks in the game are in blaster secondaries. As well as some pretty decent control effects. And the sustain powers are pretty impressive on a per power basis.
  11. Pretty much. Its like they didn't really plan the taunt auras very well. So they are all over the map.
  12. They could pick faster animations though Kick could use thunder kick from MA. Boxing could use initial strikes from STJ. That would make them much better.
  13. Well there are some sets that have weaker auras by design like WP and SR. So those are the ones I mean. I am not sure why EA is 13.6 seconds and invincibility is 17 though for example. Both of those sound strong to me in the current system.
  14. I think this would work. Allowing you to get the crab armor, spiderlings, omega bomb. Pretty much like a bane who skips mace attacks But if you want crab attacks, well those come from the crab pack.
  15. I wonder if it would make more sense to normalize them. For example - Tanker good aura 17 sec Tanker weak aura 10 sec Brute good aura 14 sec Brute weak aura 9 sec Kheldian Dwarf 7 sec Scrapper Good Aura 5 sec Scrapper Weak Aura 2 sec
  16. Seems like a weird call to make a scrapper aura much better than a tanker one from another set.
  17. For the same set. What about different sets? Is Scrapper Invincibility better than Tanker Rise to the Challenge taunt wise?
  18. Think Omega is right. Power creep means you can handle a lot more than back then, and there are a lot less inexperienced players. Still get goofs though. Like trying into city hall too soon during Posi 1 and 3000 COT goons swarm you.
  19. Ive run this without being trained to 35, but you need to go to the Arachnos contact (not the Patron) directly. GHOST Widow isn't really that much longer than Black Scorpion.
  20. Perhaps taunt auras should be normalized by AT. Scrappers generally dont care how good the auras are just that they exist. Tankers care a lot, which leads to suggestions that WP and SR tankers are not good. How does Scrapper Inv taunt aura compare to Tanker WP taunt aura atm?

  22. Im okay with the current scrapper situation personally. I just brought it up in response to the suggestion Kheld Dwarfs don't need Taunt Auras.
