  1. Power Boosted self-buffing Empathy would have Tanker level mitigation with zero toggles and still be a ranged team-buffing character. Yeah no.
  2. Not a no vote, just an observation. A 4* shadow shard TF would be a complete nightmare. 1) No TT, MT, ATT, etc. 2) Shadow Shard TF’s have kill alls. Sounds rough but sure.
  3. 1) “What’s the difference between nerf one thing and nerf everything?” Surely I don’t need to answer this. 2) A policy of “never nerf anything ever” actually working strikes me as being about as realistic as a communist utopia ever happening. 3) They buffed end game mobs to increase the difficulty of the game - not to justify a wave of buffs that would make that difficulty increase a wash.
  4. As I said before in response to your other message to me, I hardly ever advocate for nerfing anything. So I don’t really know what you’re talking about. You seem to have conflated “Nerf Seeds” with “Nerf Everything” as if those statements have anything to do with one another.

  6. I’m sure it has everything to do with the base power recharging in 20s and not 16s.
  7. And, likewise, I’m not sure it was ever appropriate for Corruptor/Defender Soul Drain to be as good as Scrapper Soul Drain (slightly less buff but 1.5x the radius) or flat out better than Brute Soul Drain.
  8. Don’t know because no one ever advocates for that. Easy to see that the overwhelming majority of CoH changes have been buffs.
  9. Yes. I have several toons with 2-4 of them slotted. More chances for it to go off = more overall recharge buff.
  10. A design philosophy of “always buff, never nerf” will never be viable.
  11. Sonic Repulsion isn’t a terrible power if you slot it with 2 end redux, 1 sudden acceleration proc, and 1 force feedback proc. What’s wrong with an ally knockdown aura that periodically buffs your recharge rate?
  12. Yes, it would be extremely overpowered.
  13. Honestly Seeds needs to be nerfed. Any ability that is so overpowered that it’s convincing people Mass Confusion is bad… can die in a fire. And they put it in the same set as Carrion Creepers. Everything sucks if you’re naive enough to make Plant Control your baseline.

  15. Mass Confusion is pretty easily the best Control set T9 ability.
  16. I think we should just ditch the wet mechanic and stick with the straight Ice Slick power. It’s opened up a really stupid can of worms about what constitutes wetness when the devs knew all along the set didn’t have to have an immobilize.
  17. Removing the aether reward makes this entire change kind of pointless. I'd just scrap the whole thing if we can't have the aether reward.
  18. Okay so maybe your complaint has some validity to it, but everything about your post screams you should try damage procs. Char/Dominate nerfs will hit me, but many of the other ones you listed could arguably be buffs to me. And Char/Dominate were incredible. Usually the best DPA you can do besides things like Blaze and Snipes.
  19. I’m scratching my head trying to figure out what powers meet that description. What powers are you concerned about? Like obviously we all know Soul Drain or Char/Dominate are getting nerfs but those *were* overperforming. Curious which nerfs you mean.
  20. Wavicle hit the nail on the head: a bonus for any 5 AT’s would not be accomplishing the same goal as this bonus. Apples and oranges.
  21. Yes, there is a hard cap, but you won’t hit it on your own without team buffs. It’s +400% IIRC? So I guess some builds could get close while Force Feedback is active.
  22. Dual Blades has enough high DPA attacks. It doesn’t need help.
  23. I just said a T3 costs less than many complete IO builds. Most posters here seem to talk about how IO’s aren’t out of reach like they were on live, so why is a T3 out of reach? Do you have IO’s on your characters?
  24. A T3 Aether effect/transformation costs no more than a build for a new alt (substantially less now, in fact). And that’s something most players can pull together in a week or two. I don’t think they cost too much at all. I have 22 mini modes in addition to my main having everything, and I’m perpetually broke.
