I guess I’m okay with it on the condition that the changeling exploit doesn’t work with the minimal FX versions. You should have to look ridiculous if you’re going to rely on a cheesy glitch.

This makes the most sense to me, although all it really nets me is Teleport Target because I’d still be getting Teleport/Fold Space on every one of my toons. Could be a fun change though. I have a Psychic/Martial I could reslot some day. EDIT: I do also like the thought of proc bombing it though.

I have historically stayed away from Martial solely because I don’t know what to do about Burst of Speed. I already take Teleport and Combat Teleport on my typical toons, and Burst of Speed is not quite the same as either. Then do I really want a third thing I have to set up a keybind for? If not, what’s the point in playing Martial without it? These are the questions that keep me up at night.

The ITF Romulus Phalanx computer is another common target where this is frustrating.

Why aren’t you launching a crusade over Fire Blast? Inferno forces you into melee when Fire Breath works best at range. Why aren’t you launching a crusade over Ice Control? Arctic Air forces you into melee when Cold Snap works best at range. Why aren’t you launching a crusade over Poison? Venomous Gas forces you into melee when Neurotoxic Breath works best at range. Why aren’t you launching a crusade over Energy Manipulation? Boost Range makes you even better at range, and then you get a bunch of melee attacks? I could do this dozens more times but I won’t. The point is you’ve done absolutely nothing to explain why this Whitecap problem is so dire when the same “problem” manifests itself in 50 other places in the game.

This argument was already debunked over and over. There are tons of sets with (1) a skill that works in melee and (2) other skills that work best at range. There is plenty of precedent for this.

You do realize that Whitecap would probably be a PBAoE if the TP were removed, right? Also, bringing up suggestions that developers have repeatedly tagged as non-starters is pretty unhelpful.

They literally renamed Power Mastery to Energy Mastery because they are the same. Absolute proof devs agree with me.

Electrical Affinity is probably the strongest Electrical powerset in the game right now IYAM. Or maybe a nice Elec/Bio Sentinel from what I’ve heard.

The poster’s argument is applicable to every set in the game that has both a PBAoE and a ranged cone. The two don’t work together unless the player (1) skips one or both or (2) knows how to move and re-position mid-combat. I don’t see the devs finding this argument convincing. They’re not exactly rushing to overhaul *any* of those sets. In fact, they themselves have released multiple sets with the same contradiction before releasing Marine Affinity. With Arsenal Assault they even explicitly stated that players were intended to be jumping in and out of melee.
