  1. Yes, there is a hard cap, but you won’t hit it on your own without team buffs. It’s +400% IIRC? So I guess some builds could get close while Force Feedback is active.
  2. Dual Blades has enough high DPA attacks. It doesn’t need help.
  3. I just said a T3 costs less than many complete IO builds. Most posters here seem to talk about how IO’s aren’t out of reach like they were on live, so why is a T3 out of reach? Do you have IO’s on your characters?
  4. A T3 Aether effect/transformation costs no more than a build for a new alt (substantially less now, in fact). And that’s something most players can pull together in a week or two. I don’t think they cost too much at all. I have 22 mini modes in addition to my main having everything, and I’m perpetually broke.
  5. You are overthinking things with Containment. Terrify’s base damage is not so high that you need to guarantee containment on it, so just go ahead and open with it if you want, though opening with Total Domination or Mass Confusion would be safer. It should be proc bombed on a Controller build, so you will be doing the vast majority of its damage with or without containment.
  6. Patch/Update season is always an ugly time of year. Every time the devs release changes, people that like those changes are called trolls. This is nothing new, but that doesn’t make it any less unpleasant.
  7. I play the new HC sets all the time. Love them. The opinions that they’re trash are obviously just opinions. Can’t wait for the update to go live just so the tantrums will stop at this point.
  8. 1) Not all forms of damage can benefit from Containment. Oil Slick Arrow. Water Spout. Lightning Storm, pets, damage procs, etc. 2) Not having an AoE immobilize does not guarantee to you miss out on Containment. Other controls in your primary trigger if too. You should be reliably holding or stunning most mobs every fight without issue. When both points are properly taken into account, the benefit of an AoE immobilize on your damage is often negligible. Maybe you could argue you’re doing 90% of the damage you should be, but not 50%. I have skipped AoE immobilizes on Controllers on tight builds because they’re just not everything you say they are.
  9. If you want to talk about your immobilize issue, that discussion was moved to Suggestions and Feedback.
  10. I would urge you to try Controllers without focusing so heavily on Containment. The inherent is not as critical as you make it sound.
  11. It was moved out of Focused Feedback for being off-topic since the devs repeatedly stated they wouldn’t be changing the set’s power selection further.
  12. IMO Intuition Radial is the way for every blaster set combo in the game.
  13. I just think it’s a rather fruitless exercise once you’ve acknowledged that everyone and everything sucks before 50+1. Pointing out that a set/build is struggling prior to that is just pointing out that the sky is blue.
  14. This new “APP’s/PPP’s are all trash” narrative is wild. I guess a group of posters got together recently and decided they would all simultaneously forget about the existence of Char, Dominate, Indomitable Will, Moonbeam, Zapp, Shadow Meld, Gloom, Shatter Armor, Power Boost, Poisonous Ray, Water Spout, Physical Perfection, and the list goes on and on…
  15. I would constantly be in Offensive mode, yes. Even so, the Invuln tohit bonus might be superior, but Bio also has a damage bonus and a proc bomb PBAoE attack.
  16. Since all Tanker primaries are pretty capable of handling the mitigation side of things, the best primaries are going to be the ones that also contribute to your offense.
  17. It strikes me as trolling to continue advocating for the power selection to change after multiple developers have told us the power selection is fixed. I’m sure they would appreciate if feedback was limited to the current power selection in light of this.

I’m a little more hopeful that this change will see the light of day since it survived to Build 2 and no one has really come up with any new arguments against it that we hadn’t heard in Build 1. I see the same users are spinning their wheels trying desperately to sink the change, but hopefully the devs are able to see through the BS.

  21. Your assessment is pretty much correct. Assault Rifle wins this at AoE and Beam wins it at ST. I give the overall edge to AR now because it’s better at ST than BR is at AoE. BR pretty much only has its nuke and some meager disintegration spreading because Cutting Beam is just bad no matter how you slot it. However, you’re correct that Munitions Mastery (the superior version on Beta, at least) will improve BR’s AoE. So go with your gut, I guess. I play both sets, and they’re both fun and capable. I would also like to suggest you consider a different secondary if you’re going to be flying out of danger. Energy Manipulation would give you Boost Range, and Tactical Arrow is probably the second flying blaster’s choice because it’s all ranged.
