  1. i'd really like to finally see your pylon and Trapdoor builds especially for Rad/SS/Soul tank and Rad/EM scrap
  2. I saw this too on my rebuilt Rad/SS/Soul - i joined a fire farm as a "hiiter" and was just wrecking stuff. I think my first run 5.45 time on Trapdoor was more about not knowing the map, having jumping/running issues, and not having optimized attack chains. I did see the fall-of vs a Pylon though where the ST output isn't that high and you can't suck enough End off 1 Pylon with the theft of essence proc to keep your end up (vs. groups).
  3. Very unoptimized run 3.43 on my Rad/SS/Soul rebuild tank. Had end issues - usually he relies on the Theft of Essence proc in Rad Therapy in groups of mobs to keep him topped up, sucking of the Pylon isn't enough. Had a few pauses to reclick Meltdown and Assault Hybrid. Just button mashed as RT, KB, CP, HM, FS and DO came up - DO activates fast and has a -RES IO in it so figured it wouldn't hurt. Open to suggestions. I probably should switch to Degen Interface for faster times.
  4. It looks like a 33% dmg buff in MIDS plus bring the resits >90 and cold/psi up to 60% ... mainly been using it running carnies/psi and when I want a dmg buff for harder targets especially solo (like on Trapdoor). Still ur idea is worth testing thx.

  6. I dkn how to calcuate the impact if any of the Shocked proc damage on harder targets like Tyrant. I know in regular play I get a lot of Shocked procs with Elec that help the damage now (plus Volty helps). But if Beam's whole thing is supposed to be really great single target, I don't know how to compare it. It's actually hard for me to believe Beam is better single target than Fire, but that might just be my perceptions.
  7. I like the emphasis on ranged def via sets, Snarky, but it does look a bit like you're giving up proc-damage opportunities and -RES opportunities by slotting so many full sets. Maybe consider a lower-self soft-cap that you can augment with purples and team buffs.
  8. Thanks, I will check it out. I was using Meltdown as basically just a damage buff - it's like 43% on scrapps and I wanted it to have it up a decent amount but just mainly for the damage buff. I think I built to 1 small purple to soft-cap S/L/M def and then stuffed resistances. I wonder how much impact Moonbeam is making in the pylon rotation. I can see your ET has a few more procs than mine, 4 vs 3, whereas I 4slotted Hec for set bonus - so that may be impacting things too. I went Fire epic because on groups, the Crit Strikes proc + Firebally damage was pretty good, getting those AOE crits. Won't help with pylons tho. I also wonder if your Fury -RES proc in RT is making a meaningful difference ... I always debate more damage in RT vs -RES and I supppose I can change my slotting around a bit to see if -RES makes sense. What's your standard rotation for the Pylon? I can try to replicate it with what I've got.
  9. Thanks for sharing your build. You can really see the impact of set bonuses on your resistances and other stats, vs my build where I emphased procs for "moar dmag" in the dark attacks and cones - it's a question of what you're looking for, really. Nice to see the counterpoint.
  10. Thanks I will take a look. I iike GZ for the damage and slight heal for teams, tho.
  11. @Microcosmcould you post your favorite EM/Rad scapper builds? I like mine but I don't think he can get those Pylon times.
  12. There is a great thread/guide here on the forums to Demons/Dark. Great MM.
  13. Hi Forum Gurus - I've been seeing some shennanigans lately with Rad/SS buids on Trapdoor and other tests. I'd like to get your input on an upgrade for my current build. It's good enough to farm with, and I really like Gloom/Dark Oblit and the proc set up (including RT & GZ). But I feel like I probably should work in Taunt, and I think it's out of date a bit on what the build can do. Any tips? Much appreciated! 14. Need to lower the cast times on Scream and Tornado. Tornado especially is unbearable.
  15. Ref Beam/Energy, the PB+Energize combo is pretty good for your regen and end use, and frankly Boost Range is probably useful in the scenario you are describing. So if you don't mind the clickiness, could be worth it for a ranged-focused build.
  16. From what I'm seeing the benefit of Dark/Energy is the synergy of PB plus the to-hit debuff, plus Dark's cones (and the Soul cones) seem to animate pretty quick and do some nice immob. /Mental might be interesting but I don't know that the longer-animated PsiScream cone is worth it - I'd probably do FIre/Mental before Dark/Mental, but maybe I'll try it on test.
  17. Sleet will be much more beneficial for teaming given its large area (vs. Melt Armor) and uptime. You basically become a Sleet-caster on teams, but hey that's why it's a team. Basically the blasters and other AOE will clear the trash, so having Sleet in the arsenal for tougher mobs / AVs etc is generally a good thing. But do what you like.
  18. Good point to look at. 6-slotting Overwhelming Force (to give the KD proc and pick up the ranged def bonus) in mids shows average damage of ~140, whereas the proc slotting shows average damage of ~216. I'll mess around and see. I could 6-slot artillery for more ranged def but I'd lose the proc. Here's the latest build. I think I'll swap back to Gloom vs. Dark Blast after testing last night - the damage from Dark Blast is so slow per activation vs. Gloom, even though it has about the same DPA in mids, and even though Gloom ends up corpse-blasting a lot, that I think Gloom will be better long run especially if fired ST at start. The damage from Abyssal Gaze proc'd is pretty good. I'm trying to find the best slotting for Life Drain - this one has 3 Thunderstrikes (for ranged def bonus) and 3 damage procs. It doesn't do much for the heal, but energize seems to cover the gap enough. I wish I could find a way to fit the Preventive Medicine absob proc in. I'm finding that End isn't much of an issue with Energize (+ PB) so maybe I'll swap out Panacea in health for the Absorb proc. It's either that or give up a damage proc for it in Life Drain, which doesn't seem like the right issue (dead enemy > absorb proc). Per @tidgethere does seem to be a decent impact from the -ToHit debuff, especially when all 3-4 cones get fired off in succession, maybe the PB is also boosting the debuff. The +def from Vorpal Judgement also seems to be a nice addition to the cone rotation. But it only hits for about 428 on +4s from what I can see (vs. using the verson of Vorpal that has the bonus damage). 19. As far as I can tell PB + Energize caps regen to the exten that ClarionSpecial+PB+Energize doesn't push the regen any higher. And it does seem to last the full duration of energize, and/or until I cast it and overwrite it again. I can't tell a diff on the endrx, either, it just is really substantial either way. Mez bugs me enough that if I build this on Live I'd probably go for the 120 sec Clarion that doesn't have +Special and just rely on PB.
  20. Thanks. In Combat Attributes, the regen definitely went up with power boost activated, from what I could see -- from like 12hp/sec to 35hp/sec. I'll check again.
  21. Updated build. Swapped out Gloom for Dark Blast (dpa is about the same, don't like the DOT on Gloom). Moved some slots and powers around. Took Dark Embrace earlier for armor vs. the 2 extra dark cones. Anyone else have any feedback here? As said above, kind of fun but very clicky. 22. Any mechanics gurus out there able to say how Power Boost (in Energy blaster secondary) and/or with Clarion (that boosts 2ndary effects) will affect the end-discount and also regen and/or heal given by Energize in the Energy blaster secondary? From what I can see the regen gets a boost at least from Power Boost (wasn't clear that PB+Clarion made it more), but I can't see how the -end discount for powers is being affected, or really the heal. Thx.
  23. So the TLDR is always put the -RES proc in the last slot (right side) and that should pick up any benefit to powers that can benefit from their own -RES firing, right?
  24. I know Snarky a way back had a master of cones build. Dark and energy are two sets I haven't used much if at all, and Dark's DOTs always bummed me out. I wanted to see if there was a way to rely on procs to help and to really focus on Cones with the help of Boost Range from the secondary. Energy seems a bit clickly but the high uptime on energize, Power Boost (+ def), and boost range seem like they could really help. Anyway, here's a first pass. I can't figure out how to get more + ranged def (to try to soft-cap before power boost) without sacrifing procs for sets. Open to help on that front. Plus perhaps any slotting better for health/stam (though maybe not needed between Energize, Life drain). No melee attacks taken - meant to be ranged / cone thrower who leaps in for Blackfart. Anyone tried anything like this and has feedback? This Hero build was built using Mids Reborn 3.1.2.5 https://github.com/LoadedCamel/MidsReborn Click this DataLink to open the build!
