I know Croax has a great Stalker thread with an example Elec/SD build. I'm attracted to Elec / SD for the 2 mini-nukes. Wonder if anyone has any builds they like, especially that proc where possible (esp. FF +recharge). How does the build play? Do you feel powerful/survivable without any kind of self heal?

It's hard for me to deny the power of Fire - but I have Fire/Elec and Fire/Atomic already. Lately I've been hearing good feedback about Ice as a primary and also secondary, suitable for blapping. I was trying to get to a S/L/R softcap build that would let me jump into mobs and dish out some good damage. I wanted to work Combat Teleport in but couldn't figure how to softcap w/o Manuevers or giving up too many procs. I took at stab at proc'ing Frozen Aura (MIDS seems to say it does way more damage proc-loaded than slotted) and also slotted Freezing Touch basically like Shocking Grasp. I don't love Frost Breath but it's available low-level (for low-level TFs) and I needed the +ranged def from Artillery. Improvements or tips welcomed. Anyone have experience with this and how it plays vs. say Fire/Elec or Fire/Atomic? @Nemu I'm trying to figure out what else I want to roll, and its generally hard to ignore the AOE / ST of blasters for feeling powerful. Are you talking about Eagle's Claw? If not, which attack? If yes, I found that Eagle's Claw animated too slowly and was frequently corpse-blasting ... and also that my single-target chain seemed to do better dps with a rotaton of Storm Kick (to get the +rchrg proc), Exec Shot, Supressive, and even Ki Push, with AOEs mixed in (including DT for +rcrhg and Bullet Rain) ... most of the time I'm diving into big mobs and trying to trigger as much +rchrg as possible to get HoB back up. I liked the style of EC but it just threw off the rhythm of my chain. -
Well, if that site is right, then Gamma Ray does apparently have a % chance to confuse its affected target. Never knew that. The testing we did above confirmed the 20% accuracy debuff (even on AVs), and confirmed that there is no damage debuff (despite what the description says). I'd never seen this before. Recently I've only used it on AVs and haven't noticed. I'll try to login later and see how it is working currently for me on standard mobs / lts.

Weird. Do you have a confuse IO (like contagious confusion) in one of your attacks in our around what you use to generate Gamma Ray? Can you post your build?

That's a neat build. Not soft-capping Ranged in addition to S/L has left you with a lot of spare options that you did interesting things with, well done.

That's pretty slick. Can you share your build and attack chain? I have a Fire/Elec/Mace and I don't recall doing that fast a chain. Then again, I run Clarion not Ageless.

I like it - very similar to the build I posted above (which I think I took your input on a while ago) but you pulled 1 slot out of Fireball and 1 out of Tough and put them into Posi Fist and Stamina (heal self IO) -- the Posi Fist slotting let you set mule it with Mako Bite and move the 5-slot superior Blistering Cold to Negaton with a +recharge IO. Also you swapped the endo-slotting in Metabolic Accel for Numi's (healing) - do you feel it makes much of a difference?

I solo'd him on my EM/Rad scrap while the rest of the team was trying to reach the end room through the tunnels. A bit slow but do-able esp. with envenomed dagger.

Honestly I really enjoy the whip attacks in Demons, and they're pretty good proc'd out. Demon/Dark is great and classic. I think I posted my build in the main thread about it here. Thugs/Storm I've heard is amazing chaos but you have to be up for that. Thugs/Time would likely be my safer choice if neither of those work for you. I'd also be sure to take Burnout on a Thugs/* to stack Gang War for lols.

Mine has a +5'd Acc/Recharge purple in it from Absolute Amazement, seems OK especially on teams with lots of to-hit buffs and def debuffs flying around. I'm not typically soloing +4s on my dom, takes long. (The other 5 slots are all damage procs)

More or less this. It is a great PBAOE proc-nuke and under Domination it stuns plenty fine on its own.

Fire/Time/Dark, the ultimate DPS/Support/Tank hybrid

I haven't gotten around to theorycrafting on RoP adjustments yet. Here's my current build. I don't find the end use too bad, but I carry blues. Open to suggestions. The biggest pain is remembering to fire Clarion before Farsight, and the fact that Farsight always expires before Clarion recharges. FWIW here is my Fire/Atomic. Basically soft-cap to S/L/R when you toggle the stuff on. Proc'd where I could (with good input from folks here on the board). Atom Smasher has the KD proc which really comes in handy, especially for Rain of Fire follow-up. Positronic Fist is basically a set mule and used occasionally for "Finish Him!" style (frequently corpse blasting) and to apply the Gamma Ray effect (which I've posted about elsewhere here). It feels powerful and I like standing in mobs with Beta Decay. The detoggling is a pain before Clarion. Fire/Rad or Fire/Elec would be my picks. Fire/Elec has some great melee attacks that you can slot with KD->KB and +recharge, so shit stays fallen down in your Rain of FIre. It also has a nice damage aura and really has no end issues ever with Power Sink. And it has two great fast-animating ST melee attacks (one if you slot it with procs for up front damage). @Nemu and I have posted some builds. I'll throw my most recent ones below. Rad has less blappy goodness (Tier 9 takes too long) but it benefits from being in the middle of mobs with Beta Decay, and has a somewhat useless but neat mechanic in Gamma Ray (basically an accuracy debuff you can apply to a single mob, good for AVs that don't die instantly). Fire/Rad: I think the Fire/Elec is Nemu's build but I basically adopted it 🙂
