  1. I just can't get past the animation and projectile delays, they drive me nuts.
  2. I have an Elec/Nin build themed for Sith powers that's pretty cool, but it's definitely less kick-ass then my Fire/Elec, Fire/Atomic, or maybe even Water/Atomic.
  3. Arcane Ward is a good one-slot power for the Preventive Medicine Unique. People say Enflame (proc'd) can be really good on Singularity but I've never seen damage reports on what "really good" means.
  4. I did it on my Dark/Savage Dom, in order to give him better/different teaming powers on TFs < lvl 30. For example, he is petless at 50 but at lower levels has both Haunts and the doggo. I found on lower level TFs, esp WSTs, I really needed a different build to contribute vs. what works at 50.
  5. Can you switch builds without having to visit the analyst? I vaguely remember that maybe you can, but can't remember the command.
  6. They weren't all dying when I was running +4/+8 missions in PI to test my IO'd, incarnated build. And the scatter was a PITA, IMHO. To each their own, I suppose, but I think it's nice to slot the KD if you play with others.

  10. I abandoned and stripped my dark/dark because the damage felt lacking. My dark/savage rips face, on the other hand.
  11. Seen a few comments on here about Savage/EA being the best Savage combo on a brute - any builds to share to help explain why? I haven't played EA since live but I don't remember it having a taunt aura, and I remember it being largely a def-based set. I see the arguments for Resist sets on brutes, and when I think of /Rad I see potential for capped resists with Meltdown plus extra PBAOE goodness with proc'd RadTherapy and Ground Zero. Curious if anyone can share illustrative builds? Is Hemmorage really skipped? I don't know much about the Brute ATOs so slotting tips also appreciated. Thx.

  15. I run Fireball on my EM/Rad scrap because there's something ineffably awesome about basically the near-guaranteed ATO crit chance from TF followed by critting Fireball on all the mobs. It's not the best for Pylons probably but it is really satisfying in general game play. BU-TF-Fireball-RT-GZ ... aoe fun on otherwise single-target EM.

Being fair, I would say Rad has definitely slower (or slower-feeling, which is about the same to me) animations and projectile times than Fire or Ice ... and *maybe* Electric (now post-changes to SC etc). I would say it feels about the same to me as Dark in terms of its single-target. Irradiate animates fast but Neutron Bomb feels slower (and definitely is slower than Fireball). Compared to Water, it's about the same maybe with slightly slower feeling single-target attacks. I've tried to play it a bunch but outside of concept, I end up min/maxing on others. Atomic secondary is great though. You can proc-bomb the single-target hold Positron Cell into a devastating single-target attack, and if you combine it with say Negatron Slam you get a fun mini-game secondary affect (Gamma Ray) that applies -accuracy (I think) to the target (fun for EBs and AVs). Just avoid the T9 melee (dpa / corpse-blasting). Here's one of my fun builds, Water/Atomic for Atomic secondary ideas.

  19. Honestly it would be pretty easy to build for 45% M/R/AOE def with a Grav/Dark build while still keeping enflame and an epic AOE. I'd go that route. Feels like you're leaving a lot on the table.

Seriously have yet to see a Beam blaster build that I fundamentally would believe would do more damage, meaningfully, single-target vs. Fire given all other other AOE utility that also fire brings to the table. Just build fire for range maybe with even /Energy for Boost Range. Or post a build to make me a believer, but I've tried Beam and I can't see it.
