  1. The guy who worked as a janitor at Statesman's SG "worked with Statesman" too. Doesn't mean that he's famous. Do you know his name? Neither do I. And before this thread I'd never heard of Thunderclap either. So no, he's not a famous hero. I don't care if his secret identity was Statesman's janitor.
  2. On Enhancement slotting. As you level up you should slot 1 Endurance Reduction in each toggle and in each attack. Followed by 1 accuracy in each attack. Followed by 3 Defense or Resistance in each toggle or auto armor power, depending on which one they are. Make sure to slot 3 endurance modifications in Stamina and Quick Recovery. As you continue to level up add 3 damage enhancements into each attack. Finally adding additional recharge, or other enhancements, as needed. Typically I will use SOs until I reach level 22, then I slot level 25 IOs. Once at 50 I'll typically respec into a planned build and return the level 25 IOs to the storage bins in my base. For special IOs I typically use the two +3% defense specials and the +5% damage resist and scaling damage resist specials. Also a knockback protection special, if my powerset doesn't have KB protection. Also, a Performance Shifter proc in Stamina and in Quick Recovery does wonders. Other specials like Miracles or Numinas are great too. There's a page on the Homecoming Wiki that lists each of these special IOs by name, and their effects. Once I get to 50 and respec is when I typically slot set IOs, if I bother at all, which I usually don't.
  3. If you're going to remake your Regen Brute I recommend using Willpower instead. It's essentially "Regen Fixed." Some defense, some resists, a lot of healing, and nothing to click. If you're going to stick with Fiery Melee, and why wouldn't you - fire swords rock, I also recommend taking Air Superiority. It does ok damage but, more importantly, it knocks targets down, even most bosses. A target that's picking itself back up off of the floor isn't attacking you. I also recommend the Fighting Pool once you get to higher levels and can fit it in. Through a couple of +Def and +resist special IOs in and your Brute will be a light assault tank.

  9. Yes. Please post a little info about your characters. Archetype (class), level, powersets, and in general what kind of Enhancements you're using in your powers.

  11. It would sure be helpful if there were a tool tip or something in game that explained the various versions (Classic, Modern, Extra Crispy, Etc.) and how they differ from one another. At this point I have no idea which set of keybinds to use for a new character.
  12. Well that and the fact that many CoH players are, according to their own posts, absolutely terrified of the very thought of using VOIP to coordinate while gaming.
  13. That's literally what I meant by a "wands combat aura." Some of the combat auras can be set to radiate only around the hands and only while in combat. So a "wands combat aura" would show a wand in the character's hand, but only when they're in combat stance.
  14. Yeah, if it doesn't take the developers too much time, I'd like to see new stats too. Maybe even just a data dump and let one of us clean it up and put it into nice tables so that a developer doesn't have to waste their time doing that part of it.
  15. Hard disagree. I'm sorry that Hard Mode min/maxers won't allow you to join on your Mastermind (I love my Masterminds myself so I understand), but there are plenty of people who do play and enjoy them. Removing them from the game would be far more work than just leaving them in for those people who do enjoy playing them. Sorry, I'll always be against removing content from the game.
  16. Since you're psychic now can you please tell me what next weeks lottery numbers will be? I mean you are psychic right? That's how you know that I don't care, right? I mean, you wouldn't just make shit up, so you must be psychic. Because simply adding in "holding wand" and "magic runes in air" combat auras is far less work, far more likely to be within the capabilities of this development team, and allows magic origin "spell casters" to be anything from an Empathy Defender to a Fire Blaster simply by picking one of those auras.
  17. Yeah, what are the odds that this small developer team can rent an animation studio, do some motion capture, and use that to create your dozens of new animations magical effects and all?
  18. I think everyone would be far better off if the developers were just able to add wand and "magic runes in the air" combat auras. That way people who want their Energy Blast to be magical can choose either of those combat auras and it looks like they're "spell casting" their attacks. Problem solved without the devs having to overhaul (and possibly adding more unwanted combo systems to) every blast set. .
  19. I light vampires, and other dangerous creatures, on fire. If you want to arrest what's left behind feel free, but I doubt that even the PPD are going to put a pile of ashes into a jail cell.
  20. I'm not sure what you mean by signature character. My namesake, Peregrine Falcon, has gone through several iterations. Currently he's a Fire/Energy Sentinel, a tech-suit, Iron Man type of vigilante. However, my main since 2007 is American Dream Girl, one of the Nuclear 90. She's always been an Invul/Em Tanker. So I guess those are my two signature characters.
  21. The only thing about this that bothers me is the we've been asking the developers to update this information for years. No response. Then they talk with MOP and just hand it right over. But they couldn't have taken 2 minutes to drop that same info into a forum post? ☹️
  22. I would love to see attacks give a stacking damage resistance to their type for say 10 seconds or so, similar to Defiance's stacking damage buff. For example: every attack with energy blast would grant 10% energy damage resistance for 10 seconds. So if any AT does a bunch of energy blasts they would very quickly build up a high damage resistance to their preferred damage type for a short time. It's never made any sense to me that a fire Blaster, or fire Tanker for that matter, would be vulnerable to their own damage type.
