  1. Not a lecture, just my opinion. What you did was imply that he was lying. Something that you could have proven to yourself wasn't true by spending 60 seconds with Google. So spare me your outrage. Here's another source: https://www.gruvi.tv/post/movie-marketing-budget/#:~:text=The average movie marketing budget, them is no picnic%2C either. "The average movie marketing budget is at least 50% of the production costs." So if the studio spent at least $100 million making Madame Web then they likely also spent around $50 million in advertising and marketing. I say likely because the exact figure isn't public as far as I can tell. This means that overall the studio spent around $150 million on this movie. And it's only made around $80 million. According to the sources the studio has lost money on this movie.
  2. It's still not ok to say that someone's just making stuff up simply because they didn't cite a source. In conversations, both IRL and online, people don't generally act like they're posting to Wikipedia. But ok, you want sources, fine. According to my sources, cited below, Madame Web cost at least $100 million, this means it will have to make at least $250 million just in order to break even. So far it's made about $80 million, and I've rounded up. I'm ignoring advertising spending since I can't find that anywhere. So this means that, even completely ignoring advertising spending, it still needs to make at least another $150 million just to break even. Not going to happen. https://www.cbr.com/madame-web-budget-bigger-sony-marvel/ "While the budget for the Dakota Johnson-starring Marvel movie was previously reported to be in the vicinity of $80 million, The Hollywood Reporter recently revealed that the budget for the latest entry in Sony's Spider-Man Universe was actually "in the low $100 million range, according to several sources." While still not as expensive as most Marvel Studios productions, which typically cost $200M+, the higher budget will still hurt Madame Web in the long run as the movie has so far been unsuccessful at the box office." And IMDB says this: https://www.imdb.com/news/ni64144588/ "The typical break-even point is around 2.5x the budget of the movie." Bottom line: Madame Web lost money.
  3. I am not arguing in bad faith. I just don't agree with you. I had several level 50 MMs on the retail servers and I have many MMs on Homecoming servers as well, so I have a lot of experience with MMs. I read the entire thread, including every word you wrote. I chose to respond only to those things that I wished to respond to. By the way, you should know that a moderator specifically posted that people are allowed to disagree with suggestions. Disagreeing with you isn't arguing in bad faith and it's specifically allowed by the rules of this forum.
  4. I recommend trying this service called Google. You can literally use Google to find that everything Ghost said is correct. If you don't know how to find Google on the internet just let me know and I'll send you a link.
  5. One of my favorite characters is a FF/Beam Rifle Defender. I PuG with this character all the time. I deal with it by simply saying in team chat: "I'm FF. FF doesn't have a heal. I give out Force Field bubbles. I don't heal." If they persist I 1-star them and either kick them, if I'm the leader, or I leave the team.
  6. First, not all ATs can solo +4x8. x8 literally means "this content is for eight players." Just because your Mastermind cannot solo this content does not mean there's a problem with the AT. Second, try the Sonic or Force Field secondary. My Mercs/FF MM can solo +4x8 just fine. Third, there's an Incarnate power (I forget what it's called and I'm at work right now) that gives a huge defense buff to the player and the pets. So the problem isn't the AT, it's with your power selection. So you blocked and reported someone simply because they disagree with you. I find this hilarious. You're so overly sensitive that you can't handle it when someone disagrees with you. How do you even have conversations with ordinary people IRL? Well, you might as well go ahead and block and report me too. Don't worry, I'm used to it. Pro tip: if you don't want people to respond to your ideas then don't post them in a public forum. Try private messages instead.
  7. Madame Web has made $80 million over the last two weekends.
  8. Sei die Dunkelheit!
  9. This is why there are trainers in your base. You could even put up a sign saying "No Pets Allowed" in your base if you wanted to.
  10. I want a terrified civilian as a cape/back option for one of my villains. What?!? Villain!
  11. Also, you can turn down your particle count. This will make powers not so opaque and easier to see the world.
  12. Yes the GMs can enter your mission and watch you. This I know for a fact. Now I don't know if they can take control of an NPC that's there, but I seem to remember a GM saying that they have a number of options for how their avatar looks. So I'm guessing that ordinary person would be one of those options.
  13. I'm not sure how this could be considered an exploit. They're playing the game. The developers have said that they aren't going to ban farming, how is this any different from farming? At least they're not AFK. BTW, I take exception to the word 'sadly'. The human brain is literally physically designed solve problems and look for 'exploits.' Do you really think that putting lightning into a box and getting it to make high-speed decisions for us is 'working as intended'? If the human brain wasn't so good at finding exploits we'd still be hunting our lunch with spears instead of driving to Taco Bell. And just to clarify, I'm not angry, I'm not upset. I am just sitting in my office on a slow day calmly typing my thoughts on a keyboard made of fire hardened oil.
  14. That isn't really a problem with this story arc, it's a problem with CoH villainside as a whole. No player agency. This was recently discussed in a different thread. Als no, not all villains dislike Nazis. You do because you are a good person. Most villains either agree with the Nazis or don't care about them one way or the other.
  15. Correct. Rigid adherence to rules produces Dolores Umbridge and Admiral Satie. Yes, instead of the Tyranny of the Rocket Equation we have the Tyranny of the Powers Equation.
  16. Hey, at least people are playing villainside now. Why is this a problem?
  17. So your villains are ok with committing mass murder, but they're not ok talking to a Nazi? How is the Fifth Column worse than any other villain group? And no, I'm not defending Nazis. Although someone's going to jump in and accuse me of that in 3... 2... 1...
  18. The problem with this is that the way that people report players, say for griefing or trademark violation, is to click on the player and select report. If a player isn't targetable then it makes it easier for them to grief and more difficult to report them.
  19. I'll admit that I really hate the changes to Force Bubble. Other than that I think all of the changes have been good ones. Except for Telekinesis. I have never used that power, and still don't, so I have no opinion on it.
  20. If the devs dial back the horrible things that the Nazi says then that will make him look less evil. Why do you want the Nazi to seem less evil?
  21. The list is right here on the Homecoming Wiki. Default Key Bindings
  22. Please give us the option to turn the on screen notifications off entirely. Thank you.
  23. Is there a way to set up macros or rolling keybinds to monitor a list of specific combat statistics?
