  1. Diantane, I absolutely love it when you tell us stuff we've known for over a decade as if you were teaching us something new. BTW, that describes everything you've ever posted on this forum that wasn't just flat out wrong.
  2. As I said earlier @Drow2100, some people just like to argue. Don't take it personally, it's not an attack on you. It's more like when little boys are mean to little girls. They do it because it's the only way they know to show that they like them.
  3. Welcome to the forums, citizen. Yes, you are absolutely correct. For many of us the only reason we're on the forums is that we like to argue about stuff. Don't take it personally. No one's attacking you. We just like to argue about stuff. Now that that's out of the way, I do like some of your ideas. The speedster idea is interesting. My speedster on Homecoming is an MA/SR Scrapper with Super Speed. How would your suggested speedster be different than that?
  4. You always say that.

    No. This is The One.
  6. Oh nice. Now I know who to send my suggested list of changes to. BTW, will you be increasing the level of the mobs in that zone and/or adding any incarnate content?
  7. I think something that a lot of roleplayers forget is that neither heroes nor villains can be that jaded. Being jaded is really lack of caring because of long experience with something. Heroes care, because if they didn't they wouldn't be heroes. It's not like they have a job and are risking their lives for a paycheck. Heroes do what they do because they care. And villains care as well, about their own ego if nothing else. If they didn't they'd just stay home and do nothing as well. One of the hallmarks of being jaded is the lack of desire to put forth any effort, so if a character is really that jaded then why are they a hero or villain? Why aren't they off doing something that they do care about? Or taking a nap? And yes, as the OP mentions, people who are interested in things, who care, don't like interacting with people who are jaded. There's only so many times that you can wonder about something only to get a firm "meh" from the jaded one before you either become discouraged or decide to just stop talking to the jaded one.
  8. Ok, I'm willing to compromise on oxygen, but stop eating bacon?!?! Thems fightin words!!!
  9. I actually have 2 keybind files that I load with all new characters. First is for the basic keybinds I use on all characters. Second is for the travel power. There's actually several different versions of the second depending on which travel power and which version of sprint that character is using. I don't save the binds to the default file though, I have a named file that I load. Is this going to be a problem going forward with this new "system"?
  10. The only real problem that I see is once your character gets past level 33. Sure you'll be able to keep upgrading your enhancements, but you get a lot of slots after level 33 and you won't be able to slot new enhancements in order to upgrade them. So unless you buy high level TOs from Wentworths you won't be able to fill those slots.
  11. I just realized that I got the OP mixed up with another poster who frequently trolls the forums. My mistake.
  12. Wow. There's just nothing that I can say in response that won't get me insta-perma-banned, except "Good Luck. I hope everything works out for you."
  13. Gawd I hate procs. I am so sick of the fact that absolutely no conversation can be had about damage without someone chiming in "HeRe's wHY yoU NeEd tO PrOC ouT yoUR ENtiRe bUIld." I'm really going to enjoy it when the Homecoming devs finally nerf the carp outta procs so that damage discussions can focus on damage and not "Proc proc proc proc, PROOC!!" Not trying to pick on you Hjarki. It's not you, it's the game mechanics.
  14. If you want a character whose blasts do a lot of damage then maybe you should... and I know this might sound strange, but bear with me here... make a Blaster. As a Defender, just as with any character, your primary job is to use your primary powerset. A Defender's primary powerset isn't blasts. Complaining that your Defender doesn't do as much damage as your Blaster is like complaining that your truck doesn't go as fast as your racecar.
  15. The guy who worked as a janitor at Statesman's SG "worked with Statesman" too. Doesn't mean that he's famous. Do you know his name? Neither do I. And before this thread I'd never heard of Thunderclap either. So no, he's not a famous hero. I don't care if his secret identity was Statesman's janitor.
  16. On Enhancement slotting. As you level up you should slot 1 Endurance Reduction in each toggle and in each attack. Followed by 1 accuracy in each attack. Followed by 3 Defense or Resistance in each toggle or auto armor power, depending on which one they are. Make sure to slot 3 endurance modifications in Stamina and Quick Recovery. As you continue to level up add 3 damage enhancements into each attack. Finally adding additional recharge, or other enhancements, as needed. Typically I will use SOs until I reach level 22, then I slot level 25 IOs. Once at 50 I'll typically respec into a planned build and return the level 25 IOs to the storage bins in my base. For special IOs I typically use the two +3% defense specials and the +5% damage resist and scaling damage resist specials. Also a knockback protection special, if my powerset doesn't have KB protection. Also, a Performance Shifter proc in Stamina and in Quick Recovery does wonders. Other specials like Miracles or Numinas are great too. There's a page on the Homecoming Wiki that lists each of these special IOs by name, and their effects. Once I get to 50 and respec is when I typically slot set IOs, if I bother at all, which I usually don't.
  17. If you're going to remake your Regen Brute I recommend using Willpower instead. It's essentially "Regen Fixed." Some defense, some resists, a lot of healing, and nothing to click. If you're going to stick with Fiery Melee, and why wouldn't you - fire swords rock, I also recommend taking Air Superiority. It does ok damage but, more importantly, it knocks targets down, even most bosses. A target that's picking itself back up off of the floor isn't attacking you. I also recommend the Fighting Pool once you get to higher levels and can fit it in. Through a couple of +Def and +resist special IOs in and your Brute will be a light assault tank.
  18. Uhm... what? Can you please translate this into American English?
  19. I'm willing to agree that hostages should make a noise when you're near them. But only if that noise is the Rick Roll song. Deal?
  20. A thumbs down is simply someone saying "I disagree with you." Why do you think people shouldn't be allowed to disagree with you?
  21. We already have a Natural Origin Power Pool in game, it's called the Fighting Pool.
  22. The hostages and/or their captors used to say something in chat when you were near them. Is that no longer happening?
  23. Yes. Please post a little info about your characters. Archetype (class), level, powersets, and in general what kind of Enhancements you're using in your powers.
