I rarely see this. I do announce when I have a power that can remove mezz.

Last night joined a PUG Positron 1. Two characters ran to the end and completed the mission. I didn't join for a speed run. So I quit.

Officially Unofficial Weekly Discussion #25: Animations
DougGraves replied to SeraphimKensai's topic in General Discussion
I don't mind face attack animations as such - except when it is unique in the set. I shoot flames out of my hands except one attack where I breathe fire - that seems weird. I'd like to be able to choose that my set uses my hands or my face but not both. -
I posted that there wasn't an image posted - because I couldn't see John Cena. Is that enough of an explanation?

Officially Unofficial Weekly Discussion #25: Animations

I love pretty much all dual blades and dual pistols. I love the movement and spins. I don't like the kinetic melee motions. Melee attacks that are just standing waving your hands feel wrong to me. I wouldn't mind them for ranged attacks. -
I think you forgot to post the meme you wanted us to see.

I am all for the forums limiting posting based on the poster's intent. We should have some new sort of captcha so an AI can determine what your intent is when you go to post and then block you if you are having inappropriate thoughts. Of course we need to form a central committee to determine what are approved thoughts.

A collapse in the market also lowers the game playability
DougGraves replied to Diantane's topic in General Discussion
So this is the thread where it's okay to tell the OP that they are playing the game wrong and not to play how they want to play? Is there some sort of tag to indicate that? -
What's the smallest change to CoX that you really want?
DougGraves replied to DougGraves's topic in General Discussion
This seems a perfect example. A specific issue that seems like it would not be hard to change since the other safeguard missions function differently. -
Remember when someone started a subreddit for Homecoming?

Am i wrong to want to leave these groups as soon as possible..?
DougGraves replied to Songseven's topic in General Discussion
I play almost entirely in the teens and twenties. I play in the 30's for Croatoa other interesting content. But otherwise the game above level 30 is just too easy on a team, even at +4. But a +2 Frost Fire mission is a lot of fun. -
Officially Unofficial Weekly Discussion #23: Zone Events
DougGraves replied to SeraphimKensai's topic in General Discussion
Right. The problem with these is that I am basically never the exact right level. If you are higher level it is just wiping out greys. So I don't do these events because they are not fun at all. GW2 auto sets you to the level of the zone you are in (actually the part of the zone you are in). If CoH did that so when you went to Skyway you were the right level for the troll rave to be a challenge it would be fun. But as it is now it is just greys wandering about. -
Officially Unofficial Weekly Discussion #23: Zone Events
DougGraves replied to SeraphimKensai's topic in General Discussion
I almost never participate in zone events because they seem to be just a way of fast leveling by standing in a group fighting fast spawns. They aren't events, they are just incredibly boring stand in place combat - even worse than MSRs. I love Guild Wars 2 open world events, but those are far beyond CoH. -
What do you consider the "Gold Standard" for TFs/SFs?
DougGraves replied to biostem's topic in General Discussion
Sutter is my favorite design. Every mission is interesting and different. -
I consider having a tanker go forward to herd the next group while someone cleans up the last stragglers to be more cohesive team play. Everyone moving in a clump doing everything together is less teamwork. It is just mindlessly moving in a herd. Working as a team means characters having roles and doing different things.
-
for finishing off stragglers I suggest scrappers and corruptors

Most of DFB is ridiculously easy to follow - easier than a normal mission. But going between floors is not obvious. And yesterday we had a person who could not figure out how to get back from the hospital. DiB is even worse. People don't realize you have to talk to a particular Longbow person to get sent to the next area.

Huh? I've playing CoH for years and been on the internet for decades and I've never seen that term. What does "please" mean? -
My project is respecing my 40 or so toons. For most that means 2 builds. And since most are level 19, that means designing a new spec and then deleting and re-creating the character to try the new spec. I like the results I get - I tend to be happier with the character. But it is a mental grind to make a character and then delete it. So I tend to only work on it one or two days a week and just play the other days.

Super Hard content and gated rewards/toys
DougGraves replied to Snarky's topic in General Discussion
I think farming is insanely dumb. But it seems to be one of the most if not the most popular activity in CoH. It seems that if you removed the "need" to farm by making whatever they are farming for free - those players would just leave. I don't think grinding is driving people away. I think that it is keeping people playing. They leave when they no longer have a reason to grind. Not everyone can play for the pure joy of playing and feeling superior to how other people play.
