  1. Not quite. But in Positron TFs I sometimes get Oranbega maps I've never seen before.
  2. Go to AE and do the dev choice missions. Or search for SFMA (story focused mission arcs). There are a ton of fantastic arcs in AE.
  3. I have a SG I created and haven't touch since the day I made it. I do have a base teleport macro for some base that I use occassionally. And I have checked out some holiday decorated bases. They can be very cool.
  4. I just want to commend that my character wasn't even violating copyright laws, just public indecency rules when she was changed to Generic8008135
  5. Sadly none. The problem is that I am almost never the appropriate level so they don't matter. I wish this game was like Guild Wars 2 where it autolevels you to be appropriate for the area you are in. So if you went to Skyway for Troll Rave you wouldn't be level 29 but level 15 or whatever is appropriate for it. The way CoX works anything outside of door missions and GMs are basically to be ignored.
  6. I play mostly lvl 19 and below and almost entirely level 29 and below. Unfortunately those tend to be the most boring enemy groups. I like enemies that look and feel unique. Devouring earth, carnival, Dark Ward villains, etc. Gang members with shotguns distinguished by whether they are wearing black or red are not as interesting.
  7. I think corruptor is the only bad name. You would think defender would be buffs and heals and corruptor would be debuffs. But that's not how it works.
  8. We watched the first 5 episodes and they got worse and worse. 4 and 5 were not only super boring they were also unpleasant. While episodes 1-3 could have been edited to a single good episode, episodes 4 and 5 were just all bad.
  9. I only want 1 of the first 3 plant control powers and 1 of the first 2 sonic powers.
  10. Now that we have a choice of secondary powers at 1st level, I have not encountered a combo where I was forced to take a power I did not want - until now. Dominator plant/sonic is a good combo. But I don't want (I just googled "dominator" "homecoming" and was a little worried about what results I would get) Strident Echo. It's not a bad power, but I'd rather take arcane bolt and just have ranged attacks. And as a dominator I don't want Entangle or Roots as I have plenty of attacks and don't care about immobilize. Are there any combos you play where you have to take a power that you would rather skip?
  11. or teaming with someone who had teamed with a Kheld
  12. I have around 60 characters. None are 50. I have on in the 40's just to do the Who Will Die arc, but they don't get played. I park characters at 13, 19, 23, 29, and 34. But most of my characters are level 19 as the teens is the levels I find the most fun. I have them for variety - but within ATs. I play mostly support - controllers, defenders, dominators. With a few tankers and now I am trying stalkers. When I log in, I usually pick the lvl 19 character which hasn't been played in the longest time. If I don't want to play them - I delete them, usually recreating them as a different mix of AT and powersets.
  13. Is there a place in CoD that explains all of the icons, or I should just mouse over each of them to see what they mean?
  14. Is it just 15%? Does it stack - is there a way to tell from the in-game information if it stacks?
  15. Divine Avalanche says: You can use your Ninja Blade to parry incoming melee attacks and then quickly return the favor. Divine Avalanche does minor damage, but every successful hit will increase your Defense against melee and lethal attacks for a short while. First - minor damage. City of Data says 100% chance 46 dmg. It then says 100% chance 46 dmg if critter and (source>kMeter > 0). What does that second part mean? Assuming 46 dmg, Gambler's Cut does 50% of that and Sting of the Wasp does 150% of that. So it seems like this is not a minor damage attack - is the description there just wrong? Second - every successful hit will increase your defense. City of Data says "+15% Defense (Melee, Lethal) (self only) for 10s". Nothing in there about hitting. In game the +Def says chance increases the more allies are nearby. So is this always a +15%? Does it change based on if you hit, or if you are hit, or if allies are nearby? In game it then lists +15% Defense again and says unresistable. Does that mean you get +30%?
  16. I hope whatever is making you feel like a jerk today passes and you can go back to being a nice person.
  17. I thought of that, but I would have to check to see if there was a note. If I create a macro, then when I see a macro in my powers I know I have a note to read.
  18. Sometimes I need to respec, or get a certain badge, or have some other note I want for a particular character. I'd rather do it in game than maintain a separate spreadsheet. I could send myself an email in game but I'd have to remember it existed for that character. So how would you write notes for a specific character? I'm thinking of creating a macro called Note and then typing the notes as the details in the macro - so if I click the macro it will say the note.
  19. Merry Christmas!
  20. I do see new players occasionally. But it is notable when it happens because it is rare. Of course I could see a lot more I don't know are new.
  21. I was doing all contacts and would save up so I would have 5 hunting missions at once in Talos. It seemed like half the missions available was hunting.
  22. So the topic this week is - how long should special events last in game - Christmas and otherwise? Do you prefer non-event CoH and want events to be short? Do you want constant events so that there is always something special going on? Since I don't farm, I find events to be annoying when they suck most of the players into farming invasions and trick or treating. But I love the look of the wintery city and wish there were more seasons to change the look of the city.
  23. I rarely play above 29 myself. I do join Croatoa teams with my lvl 34's. But even at +4 normal missions are just ridiculously easy and unfun. The game is best in the teens and still good in the 20's.
  24. I am going to put Gravity Control for Dominators on this list. It gets extra attacks and less control - which is useless on a dominator. And it doesn't even start with a single target hold available. Gravity Control for controllers is fine, I think. It gives you an option for a higher damage controller better for soloing. But it should get a revamp for dominators.
