If the issue is resistance debuffs you can go over the 90% resistance cap and the extra helps to bring down the debuff, as the cap doesn't seem to exist for the debuff resistance, only the resistance amount itself. Much like going over the defence softcap gives a bit of extra wiggle room when getting hit with def debuffs. Bopper tested it out a wee while ago.
  2. Yeah, that won't work on the stalker version. You could slot it in Reinforced, but it would only have the normal once per 10 second chance to go off. Much better to slot it in your build up power, with the chance to refresh build up from the AT set you'll get double build ups a lot.
  3. That's fine, but should the very top level content really be based around that? There's already plenty content that isn't based around IOs, is it really such a problem to have some new content that is? I'm not saying all new content should be, but I think it's fair enough to have some.
  4. I've never found the NPCs, or groups, gold side to be particularly OP, the problem with the design was the over reliance on multiple ambush spawns. At those levels it isn't always possible to take them down quickly, due to lack of attacks and/or recharge, meaning they can start to pile up on you to the point where you are overwhelmed. Other than that though I thought they were fine.
  5. That's not a surprise when you consider that it's likely a large percentage of characters are created but never make it to the point where IOs would be useful. I expect the number would be different for level 50 played characters.
  6. I like gold side, but it is deserted. It would be good if there were an easy way to build a team from current red/blue side players of the appropriate level, to augment the population there. There may already be a way, that doesn't involve playing it through ouro, but if there is I don't think it is widely known. I'd also be curious to see what the stats are for level 50 characters out there, that are being played and not just PLd to 50 and dropped, that are not using IO sets to some extent. I don't know how easy it would be to data mine that, but if the number is low then perhaps it really is time to start balancing new 50+ content against that? Yes it might negatively impact a few but there is plenty of game still there they can play, and if it encourages them to look at IOs again I don't think that's a bad thing. it's not like they would have to do it for every alt they have, just 1 they want to play that new content with.
  7. Yeah, I seem to recall from somewhere that the only hope for defeating them was to use Hamidon against them somehow (I'm guessing not willingly). It would have been interesting to see how an arc (or arcs) where things just keep getting worse and worse for the heroes would have panned out. I missed the original Rikti invasion stuff as the game didn't hit the EU until issue 3, so a new invasion would have been good to see.
  8. If that last picture is anything to go by what we are getting are bracers/bracelets that are so tight they cut off the blood supply to your hands...
  9. The issue with TW is they are monsters at 50, but they are just not fun to level (in my experience). That's fine if you are PLing them to 50, but not if you are playing them to get there. I expect there are a LOT of shelved TWs out there, which is not what the devs will want to see as there are enough people bypassing content to get to 50 as it is without giving them more reasons to do it.

  12. A little late, and slightly off topic, but you don't need to go anywhere for the vault reserve. You can click where it says vault reserve at the top left of your normal salvage pop up window.
  13. I think the OP made an error by aiming it at the "anti" crowd, I think if it had instead been aimed at the "currently don't PvP but are vaguely curious", it might have gone over better. Then again, maybe not...
  14. That is certainly one of the things that puts me off. When you are used to things working in a certain way and then suddenly they don't it can cause confusion and, even if that is only momentary, that can often be enough to get you killed in PvP. It isn't conducive to people dabbling in PvP every now and then, if they fancy having a go for a laugh.
  15. My Claws tank would heartily disagree with sentinels doing more damage and having bigger AoEs...
  16. If multiple tickets by multiple people aren't being dealt with as there literally aren't enough GMs to deal with them all, then volunteering to help them out seems a very valid answer to me.
  17. For me it would probably have to require a level playing field. That ship has sailed, so it's unlikely I will ever go back to it. The most fun I ever had with PvP was way back when RV was being beta tested. You could level up anything straight away to level 40 and kit it out with SOs, so everyone was on the same baseline. You got to try out loads of builds and it was an absolute hoot. I'm not sure if something similiar is possible on beta nowadays, or even if making the beta server the PvP server would work as the current population probably couldn't sustain that.
  18. A start would be if you could use current base maps in missions. It'd be nice if you are doing an arc for your SG and your base could be part of it. You would probably need a flag so that people can opt out if they don't want people to see/use their layouts in missions, but I think a lot of people wouldn't mind having their work seen by more people.
  19. You could do it as a bind, rather than a macro? Something like: /bind button5 powexec_location target powername Using button 5 on your mouse would activate it so you don't need the macro and the power in your tray, just the power for seeing when it is recharged. It depends really what you use the mouse buttons for (if anything) currently. Lshift+key is another option. I prefer binds to macros for most things like attacks, as my trays are cluttered enough as it is!

  21. That's something I've often wanted, the further the KB into things the more damage. It would make slotting for KB actually meaningful. Another thing I would like to see is to be able to purchase through the AH, or with merits, slot unslotters and power unslotters. Like enhancement unslotters, but they let you remove the slot/power so you can rechoose them without having to go through a full respec. I hate having to do a full respec when I only want to change one power.

  23. They can be found in enhancements / attuned enhancements / stalker ATO sets. You can only enhance them, or use the superior versions, once you are level 50.
  24. 1 Personally I like shred. I have it slotted with the Achiles' Heel -res and the Fury of the gladiator -res. As lethal is resisted a lot I feel like something is needed to counter it a bit. 2 I think people use it when levelling up as a filler if you have an incomplete attack chain. It can also be used if you are hit with slows, and things are taking a while to recharge, as a filler with a possibility of mitigating the slow somewhat if the proc goes off. 3 I think slotting up haemorrhage is a good thing, but I don't know how the hold was slotted out, so it depends what bonuses you'd be losing by doing it as to whether it is worth it.
  25. Why would it be unfair? The -res affects them even more if they have no resistance.
