  1. I have mine slotted with sudden impact KB to KD, FF +rech, anhilation acc/dam, acc/dam/end and the -res plus a damage proc. The FF goes off all the time (it has a 23% chance per mob so if you are hitting a few it will be triggering pretty much constantly which I find of more use than just 10% global recharge from the set.
  2. Not typically in toggles. I have the achilles' heel -res in beta decay and that's it. Plenty in my click powers though.
  3. I'm presuming you already will be, and this is going to seem like a silly question, but are you using a force feedback +rech in shockwave?
  4. Was never really a tank guy back on live, scrappers were my go to AT, although I had plenty of others, but I've been playing quite a few here. I have Bio/SS, SR/MA, Ice/Stone melee, Stone/Savage to name a few but the one I have, by far, enjoyed playing most is the Rad/Claws. I built it for res and recharge, just as a concept build, so it has minimal defence (If memory serves they are around 11%-15%), but it is still an absolute beast and much fun to play.
  5. I was really hoping that hidden comment was blank.
  6. You could try /macro name powexec_location me blue wisp pet
  7. I know it's been a while, so might no longer be relevant, but thought it was worth mentioning anyway: you can use the mastermind commands on them to reposition them. So setting up a macro with petcom_all goto aggressive will give you the circle to move them out of melee.
  8. That's funny I did the same with my ice/dark corruptor and wanting the name Black Ice (though mine was on Defiant), except I ended up with Twilight Frost.
  9. They probably went super reflexes.
  10. Thanks for looking into that and testing it, much appreciated. I actually assumed it would be something already fairly well known about and I was just out the loop on it as I usually go more defence than res based. It certainly makes things like Meltdown (and other T9 res powers) and rune of protection more interesting, even for those at or near the cap, as buffers against res debuffs. Cheers.
  11. It could well be. I have a bunch of SRs Stalkers, scrappers, tanks, even a sentinel. Only one mace so far though, a WM/Bio scrapper, which is just a force of destruction. So I know how good they are individually. I think they will mesh together well too. I'm pretty sure I can come up with a concept for one, I'll just need to have a look at what mace types there are again to see what fits.
  12. Not on Reunion but I have a grav/time on Everlasting. It's actually a really good combo. Even soloing through the low levels was a breeze as, relatively speaking, it seemed to hit hard, which isn't something I normally associate with controllers pre pets.
  13. You can pick up rune of protection at 20, and while it's not going to be as good as scrapper mez protection, as it's not perma, it helps a lot until clarion. Especially if you are running with a lot of global recharge anyway. That's the second time I've been advocating rune of protection today. I blame Redlynne.
  14. I do it on the rare occasions I run a farm, and yes the brute is running at the damage cap for long stretches of it, but to be perfectly honest I find it tedious, even using binds. If it's something you enjoy, and it doesn't annoy you, that's good. It's not like that for me.
  15. I didn't realise we were solely discussing their use on scrappers.
  16. Perhaps I am playing a different game from you.
  17. I just wonder if it's different as it's a hard cap, not a soft cap like defence is.
  18. I'm really surprised there is only one (at that point) SR/Mace tank. I'd have thought that would be a pretty strong combo. Might try one when I have finished my Ice/stone melee and Rad/Claws.
  19. I have a question about resistance debuffs, wasn't sure where to ask it but this seems like a good place to start. If you are over the hardcap for res and get hit with a debuff, does the debuff value get taken from the hardcap value or from the actual res value? For example, if I have smash/lethal res of 100%, which is reduced to 90% on a tank due to the cap, and they get hit with a 10% res debuff would that come off the 100 or 90? I'm presuming it just ignores the extra but I'm not sure. I just want to make sure it's not worth going for more to help deal with res debuffs.
  20. I get the feeling that is not widely understood or more people would be taking it. I think they just see the 10 min recharge and assume if they can't get it perma it's useless. Where it's actually like a break free you can use every 5 minutes (or more with global recharge) that has the benefits of a fair chunk of resistance to all thrown in as well. It can also be used as a mule for res +def uniques, which for some would be more useful than going the fighting pool route for tough to slot them. It may not be obvious but I like rune of protection...
  21. Is it really inefficient? Remember it takes time to use insps, time where I am not attacking, so using insps I don't need is just slowing me down.
  22. I use insps when I need them. Generally speaking, on most of my alts, they are for "oh crap" moments, and I like to know what I have and where it is for those very moments. If you are using them constantly they are scattered all over the place and there is no guarantee you'll have what you need, or have time to combine to get what you need, before it's too late. Equally I have no problem with people that use them all at once. It's just a preference thing.
  23. For me, from an in game perspective, Black Scorpion is the perfect route to take for a hero. You are fighting Crey and Malta, which you are already doing anyway as a hero, and you are stopping him getting his hands on advanced tech to improve his armour. Doesn't sound very evil to me.
  24. It is. My Rad/claws tank is built purely for res and recharge, the only def it has is from combat jumping and any def set bonuses are purely coincidental to getting more res or recharge. I decided on a whim, after having a blast getting my claws/rad brute to 50, to not take any defence on this one and see how it coped. So far at 43 it has been all but unkillable, which I admit surprised me as I normally try and layer on as much def as I can get (the brute has 30%+ to all on top of its res). You are right about the status effects though, I was in a mish the other night with +4x8 CoT, multiple succubi and death mages were a pain, damn near perma confuse and my tohit was floored. They still couldn't kill the tank though. Wish I could have squeezed in tactics sooner, as that would have helped, but that won't be until 47. Other than that though it has been pretty plain sailing so far.
