  1. Day Job Recruiter in Atlas City Hall is giving old info on the Day Job Badges. Example :: Day Trader: Log out in Wentworths and for a limited time you will be granted a device that can quickly teleport you to an Auction House.
  2. The wiki doesn't get much love ... https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Supergroup_Base Open Player Made Base Listing Listings of bases by shard intended for open use by the public, with entry passcodes. https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Everlasting_Base_List https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Torchbearer_Base_List https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Excelsior_Base_List https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Reunion_Base_List https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Reunion_Base_List Maybe whatever spreadsheet is being used here could be linked there?
  3. Unfortunately, no Library storage was ever created for bases. However, you can email the recipes to yourself if you want to move them from one character or another. Set-up a email addressed to your global. Open the Recipe Window. Drag the recipe you want into the little square box [Attachment] in the email. Make sure to add a title if there isn't one and at least an "x" in the message area. I email myself an email with the title "Transfer" and then forward that to myself. This way, I just have to hit reply to that to send something. Little trick, after you hit reply, you can clear the title field. Then when you drop something into the [Attachment] box, the name of that item will then be the title of he email. You can store some this way, but Dacy method allows you to store many more than you will be able to store in email, but like Dacy said ....
  4. I'm not that choosey. Give me whatever powers, and I'll make do. It would depend upon the power sets and AT that I was gifted with. But I wouldn't be using my powers to rob banks or wantonly to cause carnage. Once again, I would enjoy having any of them, but, I must say, that flight often seems to be the best pick for several reasons. I personally really like super leap, but that's practically flying these days when used for actual travel purposes.
  5. Well, can we see some screen shots of what THE CITY looks like to you, Doc?
  6. I don't get to game much on weekends. That's just passive wealth gaining time.
  7. Considering how powerful it is, it really makes sense. However, making that change would cause thousands of characters to need to respec!
  8. I agree with if a tanks herding. I also agree "whoever else has point" aka "non-tank AT" is herding. I also think it tends to be whoever is able to take the alpha and, hopefully, contain the agro. But more likely, it is whoever it is that is able continually set-up combat situations so that the team isn't falling in combat. I mean, if the same character is falling in combat all the time, then probably it's their fault. And if someone isn't falling in combat when other are falling in combat, maybe see what they are doing and see how to help them with the tactic that they are using instead of the same thing that has been making you face plant on the floor over-and-over again. I do see a difference of someone forming a team and wanting to set the pace of the team -versus- someone joining a team and deciding that they are the one to set the pace of the team. And they can have those views. I can quit a team if I see that kind of stuff going on if I want to. I can also let teammates know that I'm running a team as the team leader, and If they don't want to team up they are free to leave the team. If they don't take that as a hint, I can always kick them. As a team leader, I can set the conditions to play the way that I like and not have other players ruin the my game experience. I find the few players that are like that are no loss being removed from a team and the team seems to run more smoothly once they are gone.
  9. If the purchase isn't going through immediately, it can be a couple of things .... 1) it's because you are bidding below the price of the lowest price of available stock on the market. Example. You bid 500. The lowest price on the market is 600. You're bid won't go through until someone places the item on the market at or below 500 -and- no one is bidding more than 500 for the item -and- when your turn happens among all the other people that are also bidding 500 for the item 2) How busy is the market? If it is very busy time in the market, it will take long for your trades to get processed. 3) People can and do pay more than they need to pay for items ... intentionally. They can be doing it to make the sale go through quickly - like you are implying. They can be doing it because they don't know how much the lowest price that the might be able to get item for. 4) and other stuff that I won't divulge because ....
  10. Happens from some people no matter what AT you play these days to be honest. The random "know betters" are far and few between. There is a difference between asking and demanding of course. The demanders get /ignored immediately. The ones that keep asking until they become buggers, well, they are just stealth demanders so they will end up getting the same treatment. Nope. Not at all. Any teams needs to take time to gel and figure out how things are working and what needs to be done to make it work. You NEVER have to have a tank on the team. Tankers don't even need to be ones to charge in. Tanks don't even need to charge in. Here's a tactic that I love that doesn't tend to get used. Tanker taunts a mob and runs around a corner. As they run up, controller taunts them. They can't attack the controller. The tank is around the corner, and they can't attack the tank. The tank jumps around the corner and re-taunts as it recharges. Controller keeps the glued down. The rest of the team mows them down. The tank is only the "big" man on the team because they are supposed to be protecting the rest of the team. You can play a tank however you like, but other players are going to figure out if you aren't taunting to protect them and start going after the strays one at a time instead of trying to use their multi target powers what would create better synergy with a team. Some players these days just join teams to solo. They aren't there to team. They are just there to show off how powerful they are. Case in point.
  11. It does reduce the complexity of input. My hands are on the controller over 90% of the time that I game. And that includes taking time to market and help on the /help channel which is all mouse and keyboard. Wow. It was just "GO NORTH" or "GET BOOK" when played that kind of game. Yep. I've modified my buttons over time, but played with one the whole time since the week before episode 2 dropped. I use it to play other games as well. All by setting it up myself, and never using the default game controller configuration a game tries to give me because they pretty much alway suck.
  12. Being character conception player, I do have a few characters with the presence pool. I tend to use the Pacify, intimidate, invoke panic, and unrelenting. I tend to use the unrelenting more as a power up than a self-rez. I usually don't double-up the fears but I think I have at least one Dark/dark tank with Presence powers as well to just really scare the heck out of enemies while I taunt them with Perfect Zinger Chance of Psi Damage. You know Batman has Presence Pool.
  13. Yeah, so they say, but I know it has resolved issues for me in the past regardless of what the professionals say. Maybe it's just my way to activate the tech gremlins to attach the glitches. Clearing the cookies isn't going to cause problems on your computer. If you use the default settings on a registry cleaner, you are generally going to be good. I turn off the options to clear any Windows stuff because sometimes Windows depends on it in future updates. As long as you aren't over cleaning you registries, it shouldn't cause any issues. I run the Optimizer on Webroot probaby once a week and it clears all the cookies in all the browsers as well as cleaning the registries.
  14. In your screenshot, it appears that the HP baris off the top of the screen along with other things that would be normally visible if you were taking a screenshot versus some clipped image of the screen. It obviously isn't showing the full viewing area. Yeah, you may need to rollback to legacy drivers. My laptop that is from even the early 2010's has to use the legacy drivers. Good. Sounds like it is fixed for you. Have fun.
  15. I don't know how old your computer is or what version of windows you may be running (if you are running windows at all) Have you run all your Windows updates? if you are using the hard drive launcher click on the ... in the window for the server you are launching and click on verify. Have you done a full hard drive scan for viruses? If you virus checker can do it, I would have it run a registry cleaner. Clear all the cookies from your browsers. Gave you run a check on your hard drive to check for damage sectors? Right click on the number in one of the extra trays. Click on close tray. Continue doing this until all the extra trays are closed. Are you viewing the game on a television? if so, you may have to go in and change the frame size, because it looks like to me that you are not seeing the whole screen image. It looks like the Hit Point bar is off the top of the screen on the right. Try typing /menu to get into the option and set everything to default and see if that helps.
  16. I remember an episode where a Cobra submarine gets blown out of the water and the Cobra agents jump out wearing parachutes! They are constantly doing with repeated threads because they don't have enough villains to team with on the "red" side. And if that is insulting to someone, then the OP should be considered insulting for posting what they posted to start this thread.
  17. When they did it on DCUO, if I recall correctly, they gave you a rename token to rename your character. If you were the first person in to pick the name again, it was yours and the other character with that name had to pick a new one. But, yeah, "Superman atTurric" seems to be a valid name in CoH. Causes issues with the rest of the game mechanics if you try to link the global to the name. So many Superman characters running around on DCUO, you get your 5uperman, xxxSupermanxxx, Superman tm, Original Superman, 52 Superman, CW Superman, blah, blah, blah... Original Superman, Real Superman, Superman Original, blah, blah... I'm still going with "don't poke the bear" by making the game easier to access Asia.
  18. Have you tried DC Universe Online? Run by Jack, has DC characters, higher-end graphics. Nowhere as good as City of Heroes, but better graphics and DC Characters ...and they don't apparently give a Comics Authority about you making Marvel Characters because they are all over the place including Marvel supergroups.
