Focused Feedback: Shock Therapy (Build 1)
Due Regard replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Yeah, noted, and not exactly a positive thing - especially as she exhibits symptoms that ECT might be used for. That's consensual. You can always boot them from your team. And some people like it to hurt. You're not wrong there. Trading on both cultural stereotypes as well as popular culture. Don't forget the homeless, the disenfranchised, the addicted, and the military, with others. Show me the NRA-endorsed Equilibrium/John Wu Pistol, and working Frankengun (No, the K11 doesn't count). You're right, there are some problematics parts of the game's lore. Why add to them, when it is as simple as changing a name? Yup, suspension of disbelief, mate. I don't think I actually can run 55 MPH, sprout spines, or teleport... Nor do I think I'm going to try and take over the world. -
Focused Feedback: Shock Therapy (Build 1)
Due Regard replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
This is the thread for feedback on the powerset - seems to me that would include the name. Moving comments/complaints about the new support set from the general patch notes thread and into the focused thread? Legit. Moving specific complaints about the new powerset's name out from the focused thread and into an even MORE focused thread? Burying noise and minimizing visibility. Yes, historical misuse of treatment. Still misused as a treatment. Yes, it has valid uses in limited and last resort situations - much like medicinal methamphetamines, alcohol, and leeches. If Electroconvulsive Therapy is so uncharged (versus Shock Therapy), why not just change the name to that? -
Focused Feedback: Shock Therapy (Build 1)
Due Regard replied to Jimmy's topic in [Open Beta] Focused Feedback
Wow, that's a not great answer from an authority figure. Kudos to you on wanting to reclaim it. However, it still has stigmas attached, there's multiple people uncomfortable with it (the fact there were THAT many comments on it in short order on the general and focused thread, and the knowledge that those who post on the forums are a subset of readers, who are a subset of players...), and I'm not sure that this is the best point/forum/hill to stand and attempt to reclaim an edge-case therapy with many issues of malpractice and stigmas. And, really, invoking Godwin's Law as a defense for the name? And, yeah, it doesn't fit the thematic style naming of powersets in general. "Shock Therapy" sounds like a power, or a character name (i.e. Shock Treatment - BTW, a villain, who's more than a little crazy with multiple possibilities of diagnoses from DSM-5...). When most players think of a powerset, they think of the base component of it, and calling this "Electric Something" would evoke that more - Broadsword vs Disembowel, Assault Rifle vs Buckshot, Dark Miasma vs Twilight Grasp. Here's (again) some alternate names, that both cover the cringe and thematic factors: Or, stealing from both mine and Super Atom's: Electrical Affinity Could also do Electric/Electrical Manipulation (much like Time Manipulation[Support] and Temporal Manipulation[Blaster]) even with Blasters having Electricity Manipulation. -

Also jumping in on wanting a different name for the set, due to less than ideal connotations with quiltbag rights and Mental Health rights. Ionic Balance Electrical Support Ionic Support Sapping Potentiated Support Electrical Potential etc... -
Yes, you can get the badges, I don't have a travel on my main. You lose the powers themselves... IIRC, I kept Hasten, unsure if I kept CJ on "No Travels". Obviously, I lost them all on "AT powers only".
-
Also, as I'm now running through ALL the content redside, no challenges, since I've gotten all the badges, I'll see if I can't add any to the list... Snake Uprising 6.02 - 3 Mission - Hunt 5, kill all, clear boss room. It is against snakes, though, which can be tough on some builds.
-
Whelp, slowly but surely, just finished this today! Thanks for the guide! Also, side-note, if you've a decent build/toon, you can stack No Insp/No Enhance on some of the lighter combat arcs, when you don't need to worry about Epics. Means 3 runs, instead of 4.
-
Try this... "/bind lshift+click powexecname Lightning Strike" - Makes it so that you hit LShift, then LClick with mouse, and it'll execute LS. There's also a way (googleable, don't recall) in Homecoming to bind/macro it to execute offa your target.

They weren't too wrong, Level 30 commons are a little better than +1 SO's (with 25's being about even, and 20's being about -2 SO's). However, as has been already addressed, you have some VERY odd/atypical slotting on your Scrapper. My take on the build... Can swap to a Karma -KB IO, or even a common Jump if too expensive. -KB IO in Super Jump - End consumption shouldn't be an issue when using Travel Powers, as you're not fighting. And this gives you 4 Mag KB Pro when you're NOT touching the ground (e.g. jumping). Stealth IO in Sprint - It's a good spot for it, and can run it much like a travel power - if you're trying to be sneaky, you're not trying to fight, so End is less of an issue. Epic - Don't know if you have Patron access, so changed Body for Pyre - Might not work concept wise, but the AoE can be used in the middle of a mob without scatter, and you should have MUCH better Endurance Consumption/Recovery (EndRed in all attacks, Stamina 3x, and Power Sink on a 30-40 second timer for 2/5ths your End Bar off one mob). Power Surge - Due to Scrapper's lower Resist caps, just slotted for Recharge. Slotting - unsure what level your toon is as, but the slot levels/power level choices are placed as if grinding from level 1. Hope this helps, and feel free to PM or poke here if you've more questions.

Tell us. What's your favorite Scrapper combo?
Due Regard replied to Crowcus Pocus's topic in Scrapper
So, my main is Spines/Ice (on Live it was Kat/Regen, loved the toon, but he was hamstrung in top end). Absolutely LUDICROUS what I can do with him. Was excited to see another Spines/Ice in this thread, it is NOT common. Shred said it best, though. Scrapper is not an AT. It is a play/lifestyle. -
Feck, now I need to go read up, coulda swore iContent came first. C'est la vie. 7 years is a while. Edit: Yup, Piyerus remembered better than I did. I18 was Going Rogue, I19.5 introduced Tier 3/4 Alpha and the WST system.
-
No worries, it isn't the clearest, and IIRC, WST's came before side-switching, so there wasn't a lot of clarity on how it all worked on Live.
-
The area for credit on that is actually about 5' above the level of the platform. Sitting on TOP of the glowy portal will also work. There's been multiple threads created in the bug forum about this.
-
It has never been that way, Live or HC. Running ANY of the WST for a given week on a given toon nets the bonus rewards. Additional WST runs, of ANY of the options for that week on the same toon will net badge progress. So, if you're a Rogue/Vigilante, and looking to min/max, run the highest Merit one first in a week, then run the quickest one the rest of the week to earn helper progress. Also, the badge progress carries over from week to week, so you don't need to run 51 TF/SF's in one week to get all the badges.

issue 26 Patch Notes for November 29th, 2019
Due Regard replied to The Curator's topic in Patch Notes Discussion
Same here. I chose Percy. Not a major issue to me, as it was my badger, who's Rogue, and eventually going Blue for completion. -
Eh, I see that. I just share the whole builds. Someone else might have a better perspective. And if they take my build and fail with it, when I've succeeded, that's player skill. If they eclipse my performance, either in build or gameplay, I'll ask to learn. There's little to nothing gained by obfuscating information, but you do you.
-
Hrm... DM/Rad... seems tasty.
-
Why hide your enhancements?
-
To third off of both these posts from May - the Mercy Island Base Portal is only giving day job credit at about 10' above the level of the portal. Standing on the same level as the platform is 0 credit, but hovering next to it and/or resting on top of the portal will grant credit. Other day job locations in zone work fine - Pilot, Pain Specialist, Architect, Smuggler.

Paging @Bill Z Bubba
-
This. I'd LOVE for Sentinel Regen to be backported to the melee AT's.
-
Murky Cloud provides EndDrain Resistance, which helps versus Carnies. Dark Armor's high end costs come from spamming the heal (33 end base) and running Cloak of Fear - Coupled with attacks, and not slotting appropriately, it'll kill anyone's bar.
-
Scrapper Damage > Brute Damage. Especially when self-contained +Dam is involved.
-
I offer a Spines/Ice for your perusal.
