Modern forums (WoltLab Suite, Xenforo, and Invision Community Suite are the big three), all look and function for a modern web environment, which includes mobile devices. Like it or not, most web traffic these days is on mobile devices. One forum I admin has dozens of users signing up every day. One of the reasons I consistently see for why they've signed up is because we use modern forum software (Xenforo), that looks and reads great on their smartphones and tablets in comparison to other related forums that still use old forum software meant for desktop computers. Meanwhile, those other forums that still use old forum software meant for desktop computers are consistently seeing less and less traffic. It's just the reality of the web in 2019. Instead of asking the masses to adapt to us, we've had to adapt to the masses.

As a channel operator, is there a way to obtain a list of all channel members, online and off? I know there's /chan_members but that seems to only list those online. A private global channel I'm an operator of suddenly found itself with an influx of mostly unknown people and they claim to not know who invited them...

The solution is coalitions. Have people 1 - 10 put 15 toons in a SG, people 11 - 20 put 15 toons in SG II, 21 - 30 put 15 toons in SG III, etc. Just an example. Have people 1 - 7 put 20 toons in a SG, 8 - 14 put 20 toons in SG II, 15 - 21 in SG III, 22 - 28 in SG IV, 29 - 35 in SG V, etc.

Making the inbox size unlimited with a forum that has over 110,000 users is probably a bad idea. I definitely vote for increasing the limit though.

The original forums were VBulletin 4.x, which was considered the premiere commercial forums software at the time. SMF 2.0 was free, and started development earlier, so it was bound to be lower quality.

Correct. Don't attune purple sets, it's a waste of INF. You're always better off boosting them instead.

There are serious technical issues with SMF 2.0. The most serious are that it uses an old, seriously outdated password hashing function, it has very low spam protection, doesn't support two-factor authentication outside of the box, and doesn't recognize IPv6 at all when more and more of the Internet is moving to it as IPv4 is at a dead-end. Then there's the issue with newer versions of PHP in that it only works up to version 7.1, which reaches the end of life in just five months. I strongly, strongly recommend that if y'all decide to revert to SMF, please use SMF 2.1 RC 2 because at some point soon, y'all will have to move away from SMF 2.0.

That's a lousy situation, but certainly understandable. New game accounts >>> modern forums. That said, if you want a modern forum, there's always the unofficial City of Forums.

Blue side has way too many forgettable and bland zones. Skyway, Boomtown, Striga Isle, Bricktown, Crey's Folly, Perez Park, the Hollows... Red side keeps it nice and tight with only a few zones, all well designed. YMMV.

The Going Rogue alignment system is great. I agree that red side has the better zones and missions, but many of my friends only play blue side. Some even refuse to go red side as a Vigilante. This way I at least get to play with them on a Brute or Corruptor.

Each character I level to 50 costs about 500 million INF and 2,000 reward merits, so anything I make above that per character is mostly gravy.

I farm on my Radiation Melee/Radiation Armor Brute. It's a beast. I mostly farm Rikti, but I also do the Comic Con Fire maps just fine. Farming fire maps is a bit slower than /Fire, but it gets the job done.

So if I understand correctly, the next donation window is this coming Saturday at 12 P.M. ET / 9 A.M. PT?
