  1. I have an Ice Blast/Rad Corruptor, and it's a blast. It can solo pretty much anything. GMs literally melt. I soloed Ghost of Scrapyard last night in less than three minutes with it.
  2. Agreed. I just went onto the Shadow server to check out Cap au Diable (which is pretty much red side's equivalent to Atlas Park), and... nothing. At the very least IMO, the giant atom globe in Aeon City should be changed to a pumpkin as well. I get it. Most people don't know any better and play blue side. But some of us (like moi), only have red side toons, and seeing absolutely nothing done in red side will just perpetuate the belief that red side doesn't matter. But, I understand that y'all have very limited time and resources, and don't have to do anything at all, so thank you. :)
  3. Using radio or newspaper missions to advocate for any kind of balance changes is a folly. They’re intentionally easy and full of trash mobs. And what do players do with them? They intentionally run the easiest of easy missions with the trashiest of trash mobs. There is no balance to be had there.
  4. You're wrong. The Tier 3 pet is the same level as the MM, but not the Tier 2 nor the Tier 1 pets.
  5. I'd argue that Mastermind is an underperforming AT as well, at least in endgame. The lower level of the pets makes the purple patch in level 54 and above content (like Incarnate trials), a brick wall.
  6. Considering that builds are able to solo GMs without any Incarnate abilities, I don’t think that Incarnate abilities are the problem, if there is even a problem in the first place. And the solution isn’t to nerf nor remove Incarnate abilities. It is to up the difficulty of level 50 Task Forces, Strike Forces, and Trials to take into account purple IOs, ATOs, Winter IOs, and Incarnate abilities.
  7. It is an exploit and will eventually be removed from the game, but no one will get into trouble for using it.
  8. Unfortunately, it’s been said quite a few times that increasing storage capacity in SG bases is not possible. Paragon Studios apparently tried and bases blew up spectacularly.
  9. Even if you don't include Support, that's still 35.45% defense to everything. Most people are running around with softcap defense on their own. Neither Power Boost nor PBU are needed.
  10. In my specific build = Deflection Shield gives 18.07% to S/L/Melee. Insulation Shield gives 18.07% to E/N/F/C/Ranged/AoE. Dispersion Bubble gives 12.89% to everything. Total of 30.96% to everything so far. Maneuvers gives an additional 4.49% to everything. Total of 35.45% defense to everything. Support Radial Embodiment Hybrid gives an additional 8% defense to everything. Grand total of 43.45% defense to everything.
  11. As I posted above, it most certainly does not.
  12. Uh... my Force Field Corruptor gives 43% defense to everything to the whole team on his own, without Power Boost or PBU. If the other player's defense can't cover the 15% gap for Incarnate softcap, that is his or her own problem.
  13. This thread has me expecting Peter Funt to pop up out of nowhere and say, “Smile! You’re on Candid Camera!”
  14. Mental Manipulation Blasters were popular the last couple of years prior to sunset. That’s it. Removing Sustain would just bring the game back to that.
  15. That would be a sure way to get me to never play a Blaster again.
  16. You could highlight it, make it font size 60, and make it blink, and people would still ignore it and eventually complain when something changes.
  17. There was a theory that some people had on live that a couple of friends of mine and I have pretty much proven on Homecoming. Caleb doesn't despawn at sunrise if he was not defeated. He merely goes invisible until sunset. I.e., if you defeat 100 spectral demons while the sun is up, you may not get the message "The Demon Caleb has been seen, blah, blah, blah," at sunset because Caleb is still out there from the last time he was spawned. You just have to find him. Circle around the beaches of Thorn Isle and Primeva. Sometimes he's on the beach, sometimes he is flying up high. But he's there, somewhere. Every time I or friends of mine and I have gone around defeating more than enough spectral demons on Nerva and don't receive the spawn announcement at sunset, we go searching around Thorn Isle and Primeva. Sure enough, Caleb is there. I am a red sider, so I am aware. However, Ghost of Scrapyard's pathing has mostly been fixed, and I sincerely doubt giving him a half-hour cooldown so he can spawn 48 times per day will hinder people's ability to get the badge, especially given red side's population.
  18. Red side for life.
  19. Ghost of Scrapyard in Sharkhead Isle needs a cooldown. He's extremely farmable at the moment. Defeat 100 picketing Scrapyarders, defeat Ghost of Scrapyard, defeat 100 picketing Scrapyarders, defeat Ghost of Scrapyard, rinse, repeat. A duo can (and has), repeatedly farmed him for 1+ reward merits per minute. A team of eight could do it at an even higher rate. I'd strongly suggest adding at least a half hour cooldown if at all possible.
  20. But that's not a robot.
  21. Blue side has two giant robot GMs - Babbage and the Goliath War Walker, both in Boomtown. Red side doesn't have any. This must be rectified posthaste. I suggest a new GM for St. Martial - a giant robot slot machine. It walks around St. Martial, terrorizing both the citizens and villains, asking for people to feed it. Except it doesn't want coins. Oh no. It wants flesh. I mean, there's already an artificially intelligent Slot Machine contact... why not a giant robot slot machine rampaging around St. Martial?
  22. My page 6 prediction: A new wrestling melee set.
  23. What map server crashes? I haven't experienced any.
  24. My friends and I did a Miss Liberty Task Force last night. I was on a Martial Arts/Electric Armor Brute. I was the only Brute or Tanker on the team, so I had to tank Lord Recluse. Now, in addition to the fifteen points of knockback protection in Grounded, my Brute also has an additional twelve from three Blessing of the Zephyr Knockback protection IO enhancements, for a total of 27 points of knockback protection. I popped Energize and my tier 4 Ageless Radial Destiny, ate some inspirations, and went in to face Lord Recluse. This is how it went: Suppression (knocking me back), Channelgun, Suppression (knocking me back again), Arm Lash, Suppression (knocking me back yet again), dead. Any ideas? Yes, I was on the ground the entire time... well, except for the times I went flying back. FWIW, my build will be below. 25. That's what the Homecoming developers tried. The Rage and Dark Melee changes proved that it doesn't work and that closed testing was necessary.
