  2. They have been having issues with character transfers the past few days. Try submitting a ticket under Support.
  3. Err. Excelsior is actually the highest populated server. Everlasting is second, Torchbearer third, and Indomitable fourth.
  4. According to the wiki, this has been an issue since before sunset, and probably since Issue 18. Hopefully it'll be fixed at some point.

It's been a bug for a very long time (long before Homecoming), and it's probably not going to be fixed any time soon.
  6. Arise, ye nine month old bug report thread! This is still an issue. A group of five (including myself), defeated a ton of Nerva ghosts around Thorn Isle this evening. Way more than necessary. We then all hovered around the big tree where he should spawn. However, when the moon rose... there was no Caleb, nor "The Demon Caleb has been spotted in Nerva" message in the Villain Zone Event Messages channel. I checked both tabs I have set to receive that channel. None of us got it. However, a couple of us started searching the Thorn Isle area, and sure enough Caleb was there. Just nowhere near where he spawns. So, we have a couple of different theories. Either he's spawning (even though none of us saw him spawn and we were all right at the big tree), and sometimes the game just doesn't report his spawning, or he never actually despawns. He just becomes invisible during the day if not defeated, and becomes visible again at night. Either way, Caleb does not appear to be working as intended. Edit: After re-reading the first post, and just now seeing "The Demon Caleb has been spotted" message after we killed him a half hour ago, I think the second theory is correct. It appears that Caleb is not despawning if he is not killed after spawning. He just becomes invisible during the day, and re-appears somewhere at night.
  7. I was told by a GM that for broken events, you can send in a support ticket during off peak hours asking for a new zone, and they’ll do it. Just send a support ticket in saying that the zone event in Brickstown is broken on x shard, and ask for a new Brickstown map. As long as there is a GM available, and it’s not 7 to 11 P.M. or something, there should not be a problem.
  8. I am wondering if it legitimately “flakes out,” or if it just doesn’t work on tram missions with cross-faction teams, given that about 85 percent of the player base are heroes and vigilantes so odds are most teams do not have villains nor rogues on them.
  9. My main computer is only ten months old. City of Heroes is the only multiplayer game I play because I can’t stand the medieval fantasy genre nor PvP, DC Universe Online is a bad console port, Champions Online looks terrible with limited content, and the only two PvE science-fiction MMOGs have terrible monetization. Frankly, the MMOG gaming genre is dead. Everything multiplayer now is PvP or extremely limited co-op. No thank you.
  10. Yeah. A Dr. Kahn TF a couple of weeks ago is when I learned that you can use the Team Transporter to take your team to tram missions. It worked, and I was told that it works for any tram mission. But that doesn't appear to be the case.
  11. I am not sure if this is a bug report, a suggestion, or perhaps a misunderstanding. So, here goes. I recently discovered that you can use the Team Transporter to take your team directly to tram missions. Use the Team Transporter, boom. You and your team are now in the mission instead of taking the tram or going to Ouroboros. Great. For about the past year, whenever I do a Market Crash trial, I either skip the second mission entirely or leave it early, head to the tram in Kallisti Wharf, and wait. Once the second mission is completed and everyone is out of the mission, I teleport the team to the tram. I do this so the difficulty setting remains the same in the third and final mission, and to avoid alignment weirdness when teammates are in different zones. With the Team Transporter discovery, I thought, “Great! Maybe I won’t have to skip the second Market Crash trial mission now, nor leave it early. Just use the Team Transporter.” Except I tried it tonight, and it didn’t work. It gave everyone the error that there were people of different alignments on the team. My question is: If teammates of differing alignments can use the Team Transporter in the LGTF or on the ITF, why not Market Crash or other areas?
  12. IIRC, you can transfer five characters per week, refreshing on Wednesday. It's just a warning letting you know that if you go through with the transfer, you'll only have four remaining for the week, and if you decide to transfer the toon back to the original server, it'll cost you another transfer.
  13. I actually like that Force Field only has a few good powers. It leaves plenty of room for pool powers, and more enhancement slots for attacks. Besides, Time can’t do this. 😛
  14. You do want endurance drain resistance, toxic damage resistance, and mez protection though. None of which Time nor Cold provide.
  15. There have been a lot of odd little bugs piling up in game over the past couple of weeks. Probably unrelated, but they're piling up so I thought I'd mention them all in one post in case there is some sort of pattern. 1. A few friends of mine have repeatedly had their powers' colors' change, for every costume. From what I understand, sometimes the power colors will reset to the original color value. Sometimes they'll become blood red. After zoning, they'll sometimes revert to the correct value. This is on different power sets, from Water Blast to Savage Melee, and different characters. 2. I've lead two or three instanced Rikti mothership raids per week for the past ten months. With the exception of the occasional lack of pylons displayed on the map, there have been no issues... until a couple of weeks ago, when several people started reporting being stuck upon entering the instance. Not even /stuck works, they have to be teleported. 3. I just encountered the exact same issue as #2 myself, upon entering one of those community SG base hubs. The SG base hasn't changed in several months, and from all accounts the SG itself has been dormant on the shard for a while. Yet, today, every time I enter the SG base, I am stuck, and /stuck itself will not do anything. The only option is to Ouro out. It's weird, as there has been no patch since April, and yet these little issues started cropping up very recently.

  17. That's very strange. I've been playing since April of last year with XP off the vast majority of the time, and the only time it turned itself back on was when I reloaded the options file once without realizing that it would re-enable XP. Hrm. There has been a lot of weird behavior lately though, hopefully it'll be looked into.
  18. By any chance, did you happen to reload your options file at some point?
  19. Be aware that Hail of Bullets is bugged ATM and only does 30% of its intended damage. It's a known bug that will be fixed whenever Page 6 launches.
  20. Willpower still has a very weak taunt aura on Scrappers, but it has been fixed on Brutes and Tankers.
  21. It is true. It can still make a tower or AV intangible. AE is not the same as the rest of the game for one thing. Regardless, as I said the power still needs to actually hit, and it’s only a couple of fringe cases where it’s useful. There are other better powers that you can use.
  22. Even then, the power needs to actually hit the tower or AV. Between six bubblers and three Sonic characters, I have never taken such a power.
  23. Rumor is that the DC Comics collections department (i.e. those who make and publish the hardcover and trade paperback collections), has been severely cut as well. The supposed plan for DC Comics now is no more collections of old material like the Silver Age omnibuses and to phase out of the monthly floppy market, and to now focus on digital serial comic books which will then be eventually collected into hardcover and sold at bookstores, and original graphic novels. The DC Comics collection department was severely cut because they no longer need to painstakingly restore old material (who reads old comic books am I right?), and just easily collect and package the new digital comic books for bookstores.
  24. I understand and certainly appreciate that, but as of right now the people that mostly go into the zones are badgers. Badgers and PvP generally don’t mix well. On a personal level, it would mean that I lose access to those zones and The Atlas Medallion accolade on new characters (among a host of other badges).
  25. On a personal level, no thank you. I like to occasionally visit Echo: Galaxy City from time to time to just chill, as it was my starting point blue side from Issues 3 through 20, and I still miss it to this day. That would come to an end if it became a PvP zone, as I have not entered a PvP zone in the game yet, and I never will.
