Remember the Rage and Dark Melee changes? Exactly.

Why does defender Water Blast have higher base damage than corruptor?
Apparition replied to FM5's topic in Corruptor
The Corruptor damage numbers are wrong in Mids'. They're also wrong in game. Fun, fun. -
Bubblers give mez protection. Force Field Controllers and Corruptors have the second highest AoE mez protection in the game.
-
If it wasn’t for the Defense Amplifier, I wouldn’t play Blasters and most Corruptors as I just hate getting mezzed that danged much.

If you mean me, personally, I already lead two or three Rikti mothership raids per week on Excelsior. I'm also leading a Cathedral of Pain trial tonight. I just can't be bothered to lead a Hamidon raid. I used to lead Hamidon raids prior to sunset, but they were never my favorite thing in the game to do, and there are plenty of people leading Hamidon raids on Excelsior now, (just all in The Hive, sadly). I'd like to try to avoid burnout if possible.
-
Yeah, that is an Excelsior server thing. Excelsior is the most populated server, but it unfortunately also has the highest hero to villain ratio of all of the servers by far. Playing blue side is just assumed. The crew that started Hamidon raids on Excelsior disliked The Abyss for various reasons and figured that if red side players want to Hamidon raid bad enough, they should switch alignment and come to The Hive. That has carried over to other Excelsior server Hamidon raid organizers. It is a shame because The Abyss is both a better looking zone than The Hive and a truly co-op zone, unlike The Hive. C’est la vie.

Add Level Requirement to Trial Box
Apparition replied to Apparition's topic in Unofficial Homecoming Wiki's Forum
Awesome. Thank you! -
Yeah, it's better to just change alignment to either Rogue or Vigilante, where you can access any zone.
-
The Abyss is already a co-op zone. Pretty sure that Monster Island is as well.
-
Is there a way to modify trial boxes so that level requirements can be added? Drowning in Blood, Cathedral of Pain, and the instanced MSR all require certain levels, for example.

Is it possible to merge all content?
Apparition replied to Judasace's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I get that and understand it, but for me doing something for RP purposes is simply not an option when it limits or even outright eliminates the possibility of teaming with friends. Your mileage may, and obviously does, vary. -

Uhh... You do get to play with Vigilantes as a Rogue, and you do get to play with Rogues as a Vigilante. As for Hero and Villain, the only two reasons to choose those alignments is for RP purposes, or if you're playing a Dominator where you want the Villain alignment power. So basically IMO, if you're not playing a Dominator, your character's alignment should be Rogue or Vigilante, which lets you play with everyone. -

Apparition replied to Judasace's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Blue siders and red siders can already team up, via the rogue and vigilante alignments. All of the characters played by my friends and I are either Rogue or Vigilante, and routinely play both blue side TFs and red side SFs together every night. There are definitely people playing red side. All of my characters start out either red or gold side, but the vast majority red. IMO, red side is significantly better than blue side, and tends to have better players than blue side for a couple of reasons. And, as I said, my friends and I run at least one SF per night. -

Ahh, I see now. The "Create account" and "Log in" options are still there, but just incredibly obscured white on white in the upper left corner. -
I've found that my younger friends (under 35), want absolutely nothing to do with forums whatsoever. To them, it's like trying to use a rotary telephone. Discord though? They love Discord. They much prefer it to both forums and TeamSpeak. So, I use Discord, but mostly for text, not voice chat. I avoid the Incarnate Trials where leaders ask everyone to use Discord voice chat, so I've pretty much written off most of the iTrial badges.

Bumping just in case this suggestion wasn't seen the first time around, as Talk Like a Pirate Day is in two weeks. :P

This may be related. Every couple of weeks, I clear my browser's cookies. I did so this evening... and now there's no way to log back into the wiki. The log in and register options are entirely gone. -

Same for me as well. -
Water is better on Corruptors thanks to all the DoT and Scourge.

This is second hand from one of the Paragon Studios' developers, so take it with a grain of salt, but from what I've heard: The subscriber numbers to City of Heroes took a serious dip in early 2011 when DC Universe Online launched. I know a lot of people here don't like DCUO, but it hit CoH hard as a lot of people did like DCUO. Then when Star Wars: The Old Republic launched in late 2011, the subscriber numbers to CoH took another, very serious, hit. I know a lot of people that left CoH for SWTOR. At this point, CoH was just barely profitable. Then when Disney and Gazillion announced Marvel Heroes in 2012, NCSoft saw the writing on the wall for CoH and decided to shut it down before it started going into the red. So it was a triple punch that killed CoH. DC Universe Online, Star Wars: The Old Republic, and Marvel Heroes.

Outside of a couple of static teams (both of which fell apart by level 30), I haven't done missions on a team since around Issue 10 or 11, and I played until sunset and started on Homecoming on its opening day. I just don't see the point in it. You don't get any reward merits, you tend to outlevel stuff that you actually want to do, you're usually rushed and forced to skip all of the text by people who just "want to get to the action," and I don't enjoy most blue side content to begin with, (which is where most of the mission teams are). I run all missions solo. If I team, it'll be on Strike Forces, Task Forces, Trials, Incarnate Trials, and raids.

Is mission bugged, or did they dumb it down?
Apparition replied to cohRock's topic in General Discussion
No thank you. The era of requiring a team for missions is, and should be, over.
