  1. I mean, the level 49 character would still be there, just with a generic name (if someone took it.) They just have to think up a new name, which I don't see as a huge deal. Renaming is free and easy.
  2. I just don't see the point of two combat toggles, and this includes Combat Jumping and Acrobatics. Just have the regular travel power and the combat version, which replace each other when turned on. But whatevs.

  4. In the early levels just one rare Salvage drop can buy you a full slate of SOs, plus maybe an upgrade (since you have less slots.) And you're going to get a rare drop at least every few levels.
  5. Some Invention Enhancements I like to slot early are Steadfast Protection and Gladiator's Armor +Def IOs in Resist power, and the Reactive Defenses and Shield Wall +Res IOs in Defense powers. These give you +6% Defense and +8% Resistance to everything which might not seem like a lot but combined with Invulnerability's base powers makes a noticeable difference.
  6. I thought about that, but 1) Handclap is a good power, and 2) people seem to want some skippable powers But maybe since Handclap already Stuns, the Build Up power could add damage?
  7. Super Strength for Scrappers and changes to Rage are always hot topics. This suggestion side-steps both by creating a new set called Mighty Melee available to all Melee Archetypes. Here's my rough idea for powers: (Yeah, it's a lot like Super Strength but that's the point) Clobber: This is a one-two punch like Barrage, but can cause KD Punch: Same as Super Strength set Smash: Basically Haymaker but more damage Taunt/Confront/Placate Handclap: Same as Super Strength Build Up: Same as most Build Ups except it also adds a Stun to every attack Footstomp: Same as Super Strength, but earlier Hurl: Same as Super Strength (maybe a Targeted AoE? That would probably be overpowered.) Knockout: Not quite Knockout Blow, uses the Crushing Uppercut animation I kept it simple because I'm not really a fan of combos or gimmicks, just added the Stuns to Build Up for some flavour. (Also I just realized "Clobber" is already the name of a power in War Mace, so feel free to suggest something different)

  9. The easiest to find vendor is on the platform in front of you right when you get off the train in Kings Row. Just make sure to buy the Enhancement types that match your Origin (Magic, Science, etc.)

  11. I've never understood complaints about high prices. The market is a two-way street. If rare salvage goes for a million, then when you get a rare salvage drop, boom, you just made (almost) a million. I remember in the old days, a PvP recipe drop could mean I just made a billion. So unless you want to buy off the market without actually playing the game, it evens out- higher prices means higher income, lower prices means less income.
  12. The game's not easy, my character is just really powerful.
  13. Not to this extreme obviously, but I do up the difficulty with Mind Controllers once I get Confuse. It feels more efficient beating multiple Bosses in a mission rather than a bunch of Minions, and the safe no-aggro control makes it easy.
  14. I notice Time Lord is empty- why not put the Steadfast Protection and Gladiator's Armor +Def IOs in there for a passive +6% Defense?
  15. In this case I just mean with Primary and Secondary powers opening earlier, we're not forced into Power Pool choices until much later. Or if there's some powers you want to skip, it takes less Pool choices to fill the levels.
  16. Level 32 kind of feels like a halfway point for characters, you move from choosing powers to slotting them up, then choosing an Epic/Patron Pool. But some sets are still waiting on important Secondary powers at level 35 and 38, and that gets kind of boring. I think moving up power choices would make leveling more fun and might create a wider variety of builds. My suggestion for new levels powers would unlock at: Level 24 - Primary T8, Secondary T7 Level 28 - Secondary T8 Level 30 - Primary T9 Level 32 - Secondary T9 This isn't a needed change, but I thought it might be fun and maybe encourage people to play their characters more instead of get power-leveled.
  17. Why are we only allowed to choose one Primary and Secondary set? It's impossible to balance a free-for-all, some divisions are necessary.
  18. There's some End-draining fights where Unstoppable is useful pre-level 50/IOed out/Incarnate power. But mostly it's a spot for me to put the Gladiator's Armor unique IO.

  20. Eh, Merits seem to come pretty easily these days. Just buy the ATOs with them.
  21. I agree with the premise of the thread but my idea of "support friendly IO sets" would be debuff and mez sets that also enhance damage (though not as much as the regular offensive sets.) No more franken-slotting (unless you choose to.)
  22. Not everything is numbers, sometimes it's just about what's fun.
  23. The -Def is noticeable if you're using a set that mostly relies on Defense (like Super Reflexes). But I think the complaints are less about feeling squishy and more that the ten seconds is boring. I don't think it's a big deal myself (I can Taunt, Handclap. Judgement, whatever) but I understand why people don't like it.
  24. The safest way to make a change to Rage is to keep the current version and give an alternate power choice like Practiced Brawler/Master Brawler. So if you hate the changes you can just ignore them. My suggestion would be a toggle version- it gives +ToHit, +Dam, but also increases End use on all your attacks. Or maybe a regular Build Up power, but if you choose this you also get a small passive damage boost. My other usual suggestion is to just create a whole new "Smash Melee" set as a Super Strength rework without losing Super Strength, and make sure it can be used by Scrappers as well.
