  4. I don't know if there are engine limitations, but making Faraday Cage instant (or near instant) cast would relieve the significant action economy / opportunity cost it incurs.
  5. My thoughts did go to Brute straight away since their numbers are somewhat balanced on the assumption they have 180%+ damage bonuses!
  6. Every 50 has a nuke in Judgement Incarnates, Blast sets have crashless T9s. It's my opinion that this is too many already
  7. I think the Dark Consumption power needs some tweaks - it's my opinion that we have too many nukes already, and outside the small radius this is qualifying as another. It deals a lot of damage, is heaven for procs with its recharge, and the set comes with its own self-buffing engine that is going to push these figures higher and higher. I'd much rather see it on a shorter recharge and as part of an attack chain, rather than a crowd nuke. Three enemies, with Adrenal Booster and Soul Drain: You hit Equinox Adjutant with your Dark Consumption for 269.61 points of Negative Energy damage. You hit Equinox Adjutant with your Dark Consumption for 111.01 points of Negative Energy damage. You hit Equinox Adjutant with your Obliteration: Chance for Smashing Damage for 71.74 points of Smashing damage. I could reasonably forsee this thing being turned into a frankenslot monster with a set up like this: In fact, here it is unbuffed: You hit Vortex Cor Leonis Fire with your Dark Consumption for 227.94 points of Negative Energy damage. You hit Vortex Cor Leonis Fire with your Dark Consumption for 93.85 points of Negative Energy damage. You hit Vortex Cor Leonis Fire with your Eradication: Chance for Energy Damage for 64.57 points of Energy damage. You hit Vortex Cor Leonis Fire with your Obliteration: Chance for Smashing Damage for 64.57 points of Smashing damage. You hit Vortex Cor Leonis Fire with your Scirocco's Dervish: Chance for Lethal Damage for 64.57 points of Lethal damage. You hit Vortex Cor Leonis Fire with your Armageddon: Chance for Fire Damage for 96.37 points of Fire damage. 611ish damage without any buffs - no Soul Drain, nothing. This is too much in my opinion, and this is 'optimised' from 5 minutes of testing.
  8. I would very much like to see the names that are on 'abandoned' characters be freed up. It seems silly that an account that hasn't logged in for months, squatting on names with characters all under level 10, can hold up fun, iconic names that could be better used and more loved by others.
  9. Hi @SableShrike! Were you doing incarnate content at the time? The Alpha slot provides a level shift while Destiny and Lore provide incarnate shifts. What this means is that for normal content only your Alpha provides a level shift, while during incarnate content (such as iTrials or Dark Astoria), all of your shifts are applied.
  10. I don't think that's necessary, Brutes should be just as good at holding aggro as they were prior to this patch - except against Tankers, who are now better. If there is an issue it can probably be resolved without needing to rebuild a character!
  11. Hi there! I managed to find it, it is in the official patch notes, located here: Gauntlet & PunchVoke Gauntlet is now applied via a global proc. Any single target power that takes endurance cost enhancements will trigger an AoE taunt. Every AoE power that takes endurance cost enhancements will taunt the enemies it hit. All Auras that take endurance cost enhancements will taunt the enemies they hit. Radius is now the same for all attacks (10ft, 5 targets max) Taunt scale is now 10% higher than the Brute's. Brute PunchVoke is now also applied via a global proc. Any power that either inflicts damage or takes accuracy enhancements will trigger PunchVoke. Now there have been some issues with global proc taunts, which is how all the punchvoke/gauntlets are applied nowadays, so I can only encourage you to provide some good evidence (such as video, combat logs, something like that!) for the devs to review.   12. Hi there! I was on that very team with you when you asked about this in game, and I happen to be the kinetic character you mention above. I think the Tanker was taunting and fighting alongside you, and that's where the aggro was going. Tankers now have higher threat levels - I don't see it documented in the patch notes, but it certainly came up a number of times during the betas. With regards to being a kinetics character pulling aggro, I tend to bounce into packs of enemies for Fulcrum Shift and blast off AOEs, so I get, and got, the amount of aggro I'd normally expect. I was not pulling anything from AVs - the Tanker had that under wraps! There was some incidental AOE that hurt me occasionally and I don't think that was your fault at all! If you are still concerned I think you might like to do some more testing and provide some videos or the like. It's going to be very hard for devs to pinpoint problems based on an anecdote like this.   13. It's by design, since you can find some Alphas that specifically note they improve Absorb, while others instead improve Healing. For example, Resilient Radial Paragon improves Absorb by 33%, but has no effect on healing.
  14. I can confirm on the test server that my Blazing Aura on a Fiery Aura brute does not trigger the taunt text until I turn it off and turn it back on again. This is required every time I rezone, either into city/open areas or into missions.
  15. A less complex alternative could be to do a sweep over compulsory T1s and give them some reason to exist in an end game build?
  16. As a bug report the resistances in Brute's Fire Shield - Fiery Aura are wrong. In game resists: Smashing, Lethal, Fire: 22.5% Cold: 7.5% Mid's resists: Smashing, Lethal, Fire: 16.88% Cold: 5.63%
  17. Unfortunately the general public are ravenous monsters and any vague comment about what is being worked upon is spun into a 'it's coming tomorrow, nerdrage if not" kind of thing. I'm sure a lot of people were burned pretty hard when the servers came up and the community turned into raging Supatrolls getting their first 'dyne hit in 7 years. I'm just pretty happy this game is running, and incredibly grateful that we have people putting their time into it.

  19. That sometimes happened on Live as well. Enemies didn't always immediately stop and turn, sometimes they would get to their destination before coming back. I don't know if that's the same thing.
  20. This is definitely where I was at. This direction wasn't something I really wanted, but have come to accept it and am now excited to see it. Many cone attacks are quite poor already and I think they could have done with a 100% arc increase.
  21. Hi! So this one might be minor, but boy is it annoying for my concept! When using hover and empty clips on my Dual Pistols blaster, the bullets zing out sideways (to my 3 o'clock position) instead of directly forwards! This is a visual glitch only, as the cone of damage correctly points forwards at the target. I hope you might have a chance to take a look at this one 🙂 Thanks!
