Wow. I can barely solo the Matthew Hashaby arc with mine 🙂

I love my Blasters, all 11 of them but regardless of the damage numbers on a Corruptor, you have to admit that seeing "SCOURGE" flashing in the air over and over again does feel kind of seksi.

My first Aeon and Tinpex were both super speed and I seriously didn't even known where to go. I felt . . . unheroic. It got better. All of the advice above is good and I myself have used it. I actually PUG quite a bit when not doing SG events because as mentioned, there is a random mix of powers, skill and style. Sure there are frustrations that go with it but you wont get bored. I have accepted that certain TF/SF are going to be speed unless I run it and say "kill all/most". Khan, Aeon, Kal and Yin are all in that group. There are others but because of their design, even speed runs still require patience and pacing so you don't get as lost in the sauce. I feel useful in speeds as a Blaster regardless of how fast it goes cause I am getting shots off. My trollers and defenders contribute. I leave the Brooting and tanking to the others because I am slow. Masterminds, yeah that's one that just hurts at times because even when not speed, an MM is left in the dust, well minor buff and debuff and then, "okay final mission, call your pets but don't draw aggro". Then again an MM can solo most content 😛

Its a great fun film if just for the pie fight and the frozen mustache. "Leslie escaped with a chicken!?"

My running joke when doing the Mortimer Kal Strike Force is in the mission where they call Odysseus by the full name Odysseus Hill I will always say he's friends with Hercules Johnson. It's not so funny the fourth time I do it.
-
Yeah that I figured. Its just funny mostly.

Yeah I saw that as well but it really should be the mechanism there not stun as its sand . . . in your eyes . . . it doesn't make me suddenly unable to shoot a gun or stagger around, it makes it hard for me to see straight.

What's the most fun task/strike force?

Fun and favorite are two different things. Favs are Hess becuase of the reveal and the revamped Posi 1 and 2 because the stories are good and tough but not Rollister building tough like the old posi. Fun are just for creative smash which are Yin, Sutter and Market Crash; its fun beating on Freakshow and Sky Raiders. -
I was playing around in Mids (Version 3.4.5) looking at my DP/MC Blaster and noticed it had removed the ToHit Enhancement from Throw Sand and now shows only Stuns as allowable Set IOs. I looked in the Patch notes and there it was, I totally missed it. So I logged on and saw that the Cloud Senses: Chance for Negative Energy was still slotted in Throw Sand and I was able to fire it and it proc fired as well. But the description in game now says that only stun Set IO's as per the patch notes. Funny thing is that in addition to the proc firing on some it actually has a stun affect apparently. No ToHit Debuff but a ToHit Debuff Enhancement. I assume that if I respec this character I will not be able to slot it back in but am I breaking anything by not removing it and letting it stay there? As a side note, I don't understand why they would take the ToHit Debuff out thematically since sand in your eyes would kind of reduce your ability to see straight as opposed to stunning me but whatever.

I thought it was Dastardly of Faultline as in a reference to Dick Dasterdly from Wacky Racers and of course Laff Olympics but now I am questioning myself considering there was a Muxley as opposed to Dastardly's dog Muttley; age, alcohol and hope probably all a factor in my confusion.

Lets see, I have a lot of odd or strange names but not so many actual pun-driven names: Jennifer Chilly - Ice/Ice Blaster a play on the actress Jennifer Tilly Violet Femme - Punk rock dressed (purple) Plant/Poison controller Adorabrawl - WP/SS Tank - super tiny and super cute and super punchy. Gibrawlter - Stone/Stone Brute - Get it the Rock of Gibralter There are a few others that I used to have but now that I read this post and post I want to re-make so I don't want to give away the name. Darn you altitis.

I guess they were worried about someone creating an FU character.

So what name are you going with since I am confident Herakles and any possible l33t speak/number transposition variable was taken. Maybe Heraklea . . . go girl!

That is good to know information, I was not processing that it was a proc firing off. Does it add absorb to others or just self because I don't have it yet.

Yesterday I was trying to copy two (2) characters over to the test shard and noticed that several were missing from the list and a lot of them had incorrect level data. Is this an issue that people are or are not aware of?

Sins of the Devs are visited upon the players
High_Beam replied to The_Warpact's topic in General Discussion
Actually I am not wrong. I have been in farms, and had a character go from level 1 to 50 in three hours. and I did nothing, just sat there and made stupid jokes. You cannot do that through normal play, no matter how much you try to spin it. Again I am not saying you cant farm and I am not saying you are evil for farming, that would be hypocritical considering I have been in one or two myself. What I am saying is the term farm is incorrectly applied to what is happening. The Kardashian bit was was meant to be funny but if you want to take it serious, then do so; free world and all. -

You know that is an actual good question. My parents lived in Nebraska for a bit and from what I could tell farming has always been about working very hard, for months to prep and plant a crop wait for it to grow, tending it as you do then harvest it so that it can be sold. But the paradox is that the people who want to buy that crop do so trying to get the lowest price possible. Conversely all of that hard work invariably yields minimal rewards and a farmer might make a small profit in the end,. Heaven help them if the crop gets infected or diseased or nature screwed or demand for the product goes down or its outsourced to a foreign country who will sell it cheaper. So the very concept of using the term farming to describe what goes on in the game is the wrong word as it is the opposite of farming. So I propose we call it something like Kardashianing . . . very little effort for huge reward. -
AE? It's not just for Fire Farms 🙂

Competition to be the new trainer of Atlas Park.
High_Beam replied to captainstar's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Here's the thing. Liberty is also standing there in IP on the Freighter (pretending to be an LHD) so while I like Liberty I wouldn't have a problem with a change. But what I would want would be to see Back Alley Brawler returned to his role as a newbie trainer in Atlas if they did make a permanent change. On live I always trained with BaB in Galaxy until they blew it up. Now as a short term joke or tribute, sure, whatever floats your boat but permanent, no. I already don't like the swap of Castle for Incandescent so lets avoid more stupid decisions in that area. -
Thank you. I was looking at it as the same thing. When I get home I will copy to test and bump to see. It has me . . . curious. I will report obviously.

I have a question that is on my mind. Last night I was in Mids doing a framework build for my DP/Ninja Blaster and looked at Smoke Flash. at the possibility of proc firing in it. Mids says it will take taunt enhancements but wiki doesn't list that as an option (I know its a Placate power). Now when I get home I can port it to test and bump to level but maybe a quick answer here will allow me to continue my theorycrafting while at work. So can you slot taunt Sets in Smoke Flash? And if you can, if you used a damage proc like the one found in Perfect Zinger's would it invalidate the placate or would it deal the damage then the placate?
