  1. You're slacking. The Derps to Non-Derps ratio in the world clearly demonstrates this. Get Back To Work.
  2. Yup, there was a change over. Find the Homecoming Launcher install package here: https://forums.homecomingservers.com/installation-guide/ Can't help you with other servers. Never tried any of them personally, so no knowledge to share in that regard.
  3. Hysterical. πŸ˜‰ ... this post is not meant to be taken seriously or literally in any way, shape, manner, or form ...
  4. Oh, FFS, how could I forget Tombstone and The Thing? 🀣
  5. Yup. I'm not familiar with the books though, but my buddy is quite fond of them and gave the Apple+ version a rare nod of a approval. If you will all permit the OT diversion ... I didn't realize Jared Harris was in it; first time I'm watching a trailer for it actually. I'll have to bump it up the list: he was just as fantastic in his few scenes in The Expanse as he was in Fringe. Also fairly sure I saw a shot late in the trailer with the Beekeeping Villain from The Peripheral. Don't know much about her or her name, but she was exquisite in that role - I'm down to see more things with her in them. To swing things back, mostly, on topic of Godzilla things ... ... this is also happening, and I'm looking forward to it: I'm sure I've seen him play something without his tongue firmly planted in his cheek, but I'm struggling to remember what it was. No doubt he can pull it off, just not sure if I am ready for it. The two aforementioned roles are near and dear to my heart. πŸ˜„
  6. Newest resident in the house brought his Apple+ sub to the table, but I haven't tapped into it yet. A good friend of mine had high praise for Foundation - which is rare for him as he's quite particular about his Sci-Fi. I think there were a couple other series on the service that garnered some my interest, but I've long since forgotten. Trailer looks interesting enough, if a bit standard. Not sure if I'm down for Serious Business Kurt Russell. Need a bit more Snake Plisken/Jake Burton in that character for my taste. πŸ˜‰
  7. Some responses for @ThaOGDreamWeaver now that we're all together at the end of ep 5. πŸ˜‰
  8. At the risk of talking to myself ... Wrapped up The Expanse a bit a go. Had Highfire next on my list. Tore through it in a matter of days. Absolutely hilarious, definitely recommend. https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/44890077-highfire Might need to dip into my non-fiction list next for a little palette cleansing. Tonal shift between those books above sort of broke my brain for a minute. 🀣
  9. He used to be a boxer in a swimming pool purchased with Fake Money Units from an MMO auction house?
  10. First: Listen to @Without_Pause when it comes to all things Claws. They've been one of the experts on that set for as long as I can recall. Next: /Willpower is a great set for a beginner on any Melee AT: It is "Fire and Forget" for defense which allows you to focus on learning other aspects of game play. I ran a Savage/WP Brute for my first run to 50 back when I discovered HC's existence in early 2020. Not a toon I've played much after that run, but it was worth doing to re-acquaint myself with the game since I hadn't played since before the last days of Retail. Despite the toggle-heavy nature it has decent tools for helping manage the Blue Bar (Endurance). Also, the comprehensive mez protection toggle eases the ride the first time through, one can worry about that complication with their next toon(s). Opinion: /Rad armor is an excellent choice for a Scrapper. Once you get into ramping up the difficulty settings while solo (assuming that's a thing you plan to do) it will want some amount of knowledgeable slotting and well-timed use of Particle Shielding, Radiation Therapy, Ground Zero, and Meltdown. It also benefits greatly from Shadow Meld from the Patron Pools. Something the think about for later toons, or if you're inclined to dive right on in to additional complexity. Meta: If you care about such things, /Bio is basically the go-to "meta" for increasing damage in the armor set. /Energy is the one for maximum durability in Scrapper-Land, but knowledgeable slotting and some investment of Fake Money Units are required for going Full-Meta with anything, including these two. The Good News: This game is profoundly easy once you get the hang of a few basics, and ramping up difficulty settings is pretty much standard practice. Doubly so for melee ATs. "Meta" doesn't matter unless you want it to, and Fake Money Units fall like rain on the island of Kauai. Finally: Welcome Home. Post-Script: Join the Church of the Almighty *BAMF!* by checking out Combat Teleport and a couple simple key-binds. 🀩
  11. (LoTR: Dragonlance Edition)
  12. Crypta - The Other Side of Anger Ladies from Brazil doing proper, classic death metal. Drummer making it look easy, which it clearly isn't. Almost embarrassed they weren't on my radar before yesterday.
  13. Keeping this for my List of Obtuse Insults. Thanks!
  14. I certainly hope it's not meant to be taken literally! I skip shaving all the time! Even though my beard won't go past about 3/8" before curling in upon itself and assaulting the face from which it grows, some of it does grow on my neck! 🀣
  15. I ended up rather neutral, fwiw. Didn't hate it, but was left wondering what it could have been had they not leaned so hard on the whole "one you feed" thing. Yes. I want to say they dialed way back on the horror elements, but I am probably incorrect. fwiw - I'd call it more body-horror than teen angst. (which is sort of a sub-genre of teen angst sometimes I suppose) There are some angsty elements, but they don't dominate the narrative ... ... at least so far.
  16. Ok. Preface: I really, really wanted/tried to like The Boys. In spite of its enjoyable moments and the imitable Karl Urban I just, mostly, couldn't. I did watch through all 3 seasons and was left wondering why I did. I suppose my problem was that it left like one of those frustrating narratives that just seemed to find ways to perpetuate itself for the sake of continuing to exist. Once they got to Herogasm, I was hoping for an ending that I knew wasn't coming. Shame too, as they had all the pieces in place to bring the story to a close. That said ... Yes. After the first three episodes, I'm in. I don't think it will be as popular as the "original" and I do expect the Internet NeckBeard Society to find reasons to Nerd Rage about it, but as a narrative work it is just ... better ... by a considerable margin. For starters I don't aggressively hate every single character as I did with TB. I know I was supposed to hate most of them, but ffs that was just exhausting. And even the characters I was supposed to not hate I still mostly did. Uh, yeah ... No. Definitely not. Closer to say it is what The New Mutants (movie) should have been, but wasn't. Or maybe what Runaways could have been had it not been hamstrung by being a Freeform production. Definitely delving deeper into the darker side of Vaught, which considering the places that TB went is saying something. I have high expectations for the remainder of the season; hopefully they are not misplaced. Ratios are right, but they're doing a good job of keeping it firmly College-Age and not what I'd consider "Teen" drama. This ain't your little sister's favorite CW show, that's for sure. 🀣
  17. Range enhancements work just fine in CT. It is flagged to ignore Global Range Boosts: Clarion, Set bonuses, Blaster's "Post Slow Snipe" range buff, various powers that boost range, etc. As I understand it, this was by design.
  18. With a name like that there had better be a series of local chat binds so you can audibly insult your enemies with fat burns.
  19. Hmm. Not sure how to interpret this half given the first half, but let's go with benefit of the doubt that the "Disregard" moment is genuine. 🍻 It's a 60s duration, which is significant when you start stacking in other, much shorter duration buffs. BU/Gaussian's only last like 10s each, and you can get two firings of BU within the Meltdown window if you fire the first immediately. A decent build can get BU recharging in 35-40s or so, a bit less less on extreme recharge and when getting lucky with FF procs. Edit: Gaussian's duration is 5.25s if Mids is to be trusted. Too lazy to fully correct the following paragraph, but that just makes the peak windows ever so slightly shorter. πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ So, when inside Meltdown we're at a base of +41.25. Fire BU at the start and we're at +141.25, get lucky with Gaussian's and we're at +241.25. Let's say we're firing Assault Hybrid Core in there, just wearing the T4 (15%) brings that to 256.25 for those 10 seconds. It maxes out at 85% after a few swings, and by then BU/Gauss have likely expired so were now sitting at 126.25 until the next BU window hits, which peaks at +326.25 if we're lucky with Gaussian's again or +226.25 if we aren't. This is before any +dmg set bonuses (pretty sure 20-30% here is an easy ask), temp powers, amps, team buffs, or insps. A well timed solo Scrapper can near-as-makes-no-difference-to cap their own +dmg bonus inside Meltdown. Don't need to gulp a stack of reds, leaves room for purples/oranges to supplement def/res if needed. It makes a difference when solo hunting big game. πŸ˜‰ Doesn't hurt that the "crash" is basically irrelevant even without using a ToE in RT (why would you not?), and that it cycles nicely against Shadow Meld for alpha soaking. Meltdown is underrated simply because we're all trained to skip most T9 armor powers because they're either pointless (adding more +def to a def set, for example) or the crash isn't worth the benefit (pretty much most of them). This thread sort of makes me want to finish the build update on my Kat/Rad. πŸ˜„
  20. This probably qualifies as "Unless you know what you are doing," but Meltdown's real value for a Scrapper is the 41.25% damage buff. πŸ˜‰
  21. There's a lot to unpack there, but I think it is best left packed. 🀣
  22. Put Jo on that ticket and I'm in.
