Who is the most powerful hero and villian in the game

Local Man was a player during Retail. Always wondered if they were lurking around Homecoming. On Topic: Bella V. Arc Spoilers Within: -
Combat Teleport or Teleport with targeted binds. If the path between you and your target is with the valid range of either one you will port to the target's location. This works on friendlies, mobs, and NPCs like trainers, as long as they are your target. Technically you aren't going "through" walls because range is tied to a legitimate path through the maps, but it does circumvent the need to run the course.

During Retail: Don't Pair Broadsword with Dark Armor before Inherent Fitness. During Homecoming: Don't waste merits on ATOs, they are dramatically cheaper on the market. Did this on the first toon I ran through to 50 a couple weeks after finding Homecoming in early 2020. Never did it again. Quoting these pro-tips for emphasis. Button4 and button5 will correspond to extra buttons on your mouse. On my 10 year old Death Adder they are the two thumb buttons. A little EndRdxz in a toggles on a toggle-heavy toon does help, marginally, but don't over-do it because the returns are too small. It's the rotation of clicks that will burn your blue bar the fastest. EndRdx in your most expensive clicks - or just all of them really - is a more efficient use of slotting by far.

Are Bots Really Becoming a Problem?
InvaderStych replied to Solarverse's topic in General Discussion
At the risk of stating the obvious: some people are trash and you're describing one in this story. Bots aren't a problem around here, but it seems that occasionally garbage-people are. 🤷♂️ Sounds like a good use for a global ignore and moving on with your day. 🍻 -
To clarify: I meant critters like Smelters with dangerous debuffs. Points about Scrapper are interesting though. I play a lot of Scrappers and had gotten the apparently mistaken notion that "meta" 4* teams basically only wanted Tanks in melee. I'd mostly be running casually though, if at all. Too much RL aggro going on for serious business in the 4* world these days.

I might be imagining it, but I think if you have a friendly targeted then hitting tab (default setting) should switch you to their target directly? It is probably my imagination. Someone will be along shortly to confirm or (more likely) correct. I am probably mixing it up with being taunted where tab (if set to default) targets the thing taunting you.

Generally speaking: Stamina: PerfShifter and Power Transfer in most cases. If the build is heavy on the blue bar and lacks other options I'll pair one or both with an EndMod from their respective set and boost it to +5. Health: Basically "Procs" only here. I've not seen a reason (for the majority of my toons) to supplement them with an additional piece from a given set as I do with Stamina. I've never chased the set bonuses from the Heal sets in here. Mostly because I want those slots elsewhere, but also a little because adding Recharge/etc enhancement to a power that doesn't benefit from it makes my left eye twitch in unhealthy ways. 🤣 Prior to reaching a level where a desired IO piece is available I'll usually just slap an SO in there and use the upgrade button because I'm lazy.

Which reminds me ... I should update mids. 🤣 Couple things on the "map delete" point - most folks on an HM team are going to know the content better than I do at this point. If memory serves there aren't that many maps with a single objective at the end. Several have staggered objectives, so perhaps that less of a use case? Before I moved I gave a solo 1* ASF a go with the F/S/B, but 'Bricker's have fat resistance to fire, so that was too much of a slog in the moment and I bailed. Survival was a non-issue though. /Stone is a beast. Comprehensive mez protection is good to have in that content as well. Lots of Taunt and Confuse to deal with, which is a fairly rare coverage to find. Ice/EA might be very interesting though. Edit: Ditto for Ice/Fire. Traditionally squishy for an armor set, but the KB/immob hole is easy to fill and we are talking a team buff/defense rich environment, so ... hmm ... Stalker version gets the revamped Phoenix Rising, yes?

Something I've been mulling over during my hiatus; while my monitor is finally up here in the new spot with me, my RL Aggro is still keeping me from indulging in much more than theory-crafting. Anyone successfully running Stalkers in HM? Here's my thinking: - Leaning on team buffs/defenses might open build possibilities for a full dmg focus. - Lower threat value means being less likely to draw a Hard Target's attention away from the aggro magnets. - Building for mobility (CT/Jaunt/Translocation with binds) + insta-jib levels of single target damage means being able to eliminate troublesome things like teleporting Surgeons or debuffing Smelters with abandon. - Never hurts to have a ninja that can delete a map and gather the team at the objective if trying to speed. Or maybe I am just crazy? Not sure what sets I would pick for this. As fun and subjectively awesome as my Fire/Stone/Blaze stalker was/is to play, he's not built for this sort of thing - would probably want to take a modified @Linea approach and be able to cycle RoP/Shadow Meld/<Armor T9> for survival potential. Which means more binds, but no reason to fear those. The table is now open to the experts and peanut gallery alike! 🍻

I have a buddy who drives everywhere for work ... he was home inspector for a while but has migrated to doing site inspections for forest fire damage and other bigger stuff. He is still driving his Kia Sportage after putting baffling amounts of mileage on it. The SK makes (Hyundai/Kia) have really upped their game in the last several years. Another friend drives a 2016 Outback and has had very good luck with it, but idk the pricing on those these days. Sort of depends on your market. Assuming US/Canada here since you're looking at SUVs and using dollar signs. 🤣 I had a Mazda, CX-5 I think, as a rental and it was a blast to drive, but those are less utilitarian than other makes. Less cargo space, less room in the back seats, etc than competitors. They are plush inside though and aimed more at a "driving experience" mindset. They're also prettier on the outside, imo. 😉 Pretty much anything Nissan/Toyota would be a solid choice as well. Toyota larger than a Rav-4 means a 4-Runner most likely, and those have a price premium these days because everyone wants to be a Toyota-Bro. 🙄 Maybe that's just here on the West Coast where buying any sort of capable truck/SUV means paying a whole lot more than it is really worth.

Never tried it with Jaunt, but I don't see why it would break Hidden. Neither Combat Teleport nor Teleport will break Hidden, and with Teleport adding a long freebie hover period that is canceled with an action one can actually use a targeted macro and Teleport to a hovering target and get off an AS before falling out of the air. Just don't be moving (turn off auto-run) and only hit AS in order for it to work.

WCIF - Steet Justice/Regeneratio Builds
InvaderStych replied to Infamous_Breach's topic in General Discussion
Leveling builds are sort of a thing, but also sort of not a thing. Generally if I have a target build in mind for something I'll pepper in pieces of it as they become available by level. For example, ATOs are available starting at level 10 (or is it 7? Jeez I have been out of the game for a while) so those are usually one of the first things to go into a leveling toon. Ditto for unique pieces like Kismet's +to-hit piece, or globals like LOTGs, or things like Performance Shifters/Miracle/Panacea, effect pieces. Generally while leveling I'm also playing around with power choices if I don't have a solid post-50 plan in mind, so I'll burn a respec or two (which fall like rain on the proverbial plain around here) from time to time to try different things. The question is are you flush with Fake Money Units (Influence/Infamy/Information, aka "Inf") to twink out the toon as it rises in level, or are you working with the resources the toon gains while playing it and/or engaging in any marketing or crafting/flipping along the way? Finally, if you are short on Fake Money Units, hit up @Yomo Kimyata and one of their generous give-aways. I think there is a thread currently in this section with instructions on how to get a stack of Inf. -

So, you're saying if I send Yomo a dm in game then I get 1 dm of inf? -
Well, all I know is that if the OP spent as much time elaborating on their idea as they did getting defensive and hurling net-drama at respondents it would still be a terrible idea, a blatant tanker buff, and one of the last things the game needs. Where do I get tickets to this show? Lower Mezzanine Center, plzkthx.
-
Nope. Tanks do not need yet another buff, they are doing just fine.

FWIW: The Team does, they just don't make a lot of noise about it. We are, and we won't. 🫂 This. Engagement is Validation in the minds of those who would stir up trouble in any form of online communication. Report them silently and move on with life.

You can do this with either a keybind or a macro. If you want a button in your tray use a macro and reference this list to give it an image: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Macro_image_(Slash_Command) If you want to just costume change, use the command cc, if you want to costume change with an emote, use cce and find the name of the emote that you want. Emotes can be found here: https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Emotes#Costume_Change_Emotes Costume slots start at 0. The format looks a bit like this: (Replace generic names with image and text of your choosing) (Examples assume costume slots 0 and 1) No emote: /macro_image "Image_From_List" "Tool-Tip-Text" "powexectoggleon Fly$$cc 0" /macro_image "Image_From_List" "Tool-Tip-Text" "powexectoggleoff Fly$$cc 1" Emote: /macro_image "Image_From_List" "Tool-Tip-Text" "powexectoggleon Fly$$cce 0 CCEmoteName" /macro_image "Image_From_List" "Tool-Tip-Text" "powexectoggleoff Fly$$cce 1 CCEmoteName" If you want a keybind instead then drop the image name and tool-tip text and simply use: /bind key "commands in quotes as obove" The keybind method can be setup to use a single key to switch on/off, but that gets complicated and involves loading rolling bind files as part of the command. A bit beyond my pay grade to write up a quick how-to on those. I don't think this should require multiple key-press to work, but if you run into issues try using +$$ in front of the powexectoggleXX command. For an emote and a toggle that should not be needed though. Reasonably sure it should work as written above with a single press.
