Received an e-mail today about a thread I started here: There has not been a reply to the thread since May 29th; received the email today. Pretty sure I do not have any settings (nor have I seen any) asking for email updates to my threads or posts. Is this some new switch that got turned on when forums were touched for our new reactions? If it is a setting I can turn off, could someone point me in that direction? Thx.

When were ATOs "Buffed?" They've been the same as they've ever been since at least March 2020 afaik. If something happened to them prior to that then [Citation Needed]. ATOs and Fury are separate issues - you're complaining about the flavor of your apples because other people's oranges taste better my undead friend. Fury, nerfed or otherwise has added +dmg (globally) to every damage aura in an armor set as well as every attack in an armor set such as Ground Zero. Maybe not Shield Charge as it has pseudo-pet nonsense happening and I can't be bothered to check it on CoD. Don't even get me started on Burn. The fact that Scrappers and Stalkers are denied critical hits in those same powers is a disparity that has existed in the game since 2005. The silly thing about our sub-thread here is that I actually agree that Fury was nerfed too hard, and we could actually band together and both lobby for what we want. I guess my sense of humor is as unintelligible online as it is iRL. Initial post about a "trade" was written with tongue placed firmly within cheek. In a better world we would both get what we want. 🤷‍♂️ 🍻

Meh. Scrappers/Stalkers been getting shafted on attacks in their secondaries since 2005. Tell ya what. re-write Fury and Tanker Buffs so attacks in armor sets are not buffed by those things and I'll consider that more balanced. 😛 Brutes deserve better ATOs - Tanker ATOs are insanely good with that stacking resistance. But ATOs and Inherents are two separate issues. Conflating them =/= balance.

I'll trade you. When Attacks/Auras in the armor sets for Scappers and Stalkers get critical hits, you can have Brute Buffs. 😄 (Fury buffs the Brute equivalents, AoE size increases buff the Tanker equivalents)

By pure chance. In early March of 2020 I went looking for an image of this scene from the movie Dark City: ... to post (... for ... um ... obvious reasons...) in a now defunct/replaced private forum run by RL friends and myself. Something about my search terms wound up giving me a link to an article (Massively maybe?) that was about the shutdown of City of Heroes, the S.C.O.R.E. project and various revival servers including Homecoming. Checked out the forums here and a couple of the other active servers. Nothing looked as good as Homecoming so I fired up an account and the rest is proverbial history.

This is interesting. There's a lot of math in this game (as with most RPGs, but here we are privy to the internal workings more than in other games), and folks who grow up studying/playing music tend to be at least half-way decent at math. Or maybe that is apocryphal, and I just bought into it because I was a musician as a kid, and an adult who kinda regrets putting down instruments in his 20s and never picking them up again. 🤷‍♂️ Maybe something about the design of The Cities draws the musically inclined?

Nothing Can Stop Noodles! If I give someone a 🍜 it means I whole-heartedly adore, approve, endorse, enjoy, and/or otherwise 🧡 what was posted. Please, Mods, Let us keep 🍜, it is my new favorite thing on the forums. What I want to know is if I am indicating anything of which I am unaware by using the 🧡(orange heart). It is my default on Discord; I use it because I am a Ginger Day-Walker and would be embarrassed if it meant something I didn't know about. 🤣

Don't ask me; I'm not the OP, and I don't play Tanks - too much responsibility. 🤣 Last time I was in game I was too busy 'porting ahead of whoever was playing main tank, dropping an AS and only holding a split second of aggro before everyone else caught up to notice if people were zerging or hesitating. Stalker's lower threat value is very interesting to leverage on a team. 5 months is just an approximation of how long I've been on a hiatus; first by choice and lately because my gaming gak is still in storage ~450 miles south of my current location. I don't follow the Tank unless there's a Very Good ReasonTM to do so; I charge headlong in the direction the team is heading. They'll snag the aggro when they catch up. 🤣

Ok, what have you guys done to the game in my absence? I know I've been away for a minute, but we've gone from "OMG everyone ZERGs too fast" to "OMG everyone hesitates too much" in like 5 months or whatever? Clearly we need more Devotees of the Almighty *BAMF!*
