Well, I finally circled around to watching Prey; I knew a bit about it and I was previously impressed by the lead from her turn in Legion so I expected moderately good things. Bearing in mind that we are talking about a Predator movie here: I did not expect it to be as outstandingly enjoyable as it was. Great movie, surpassed the original, imo, and most certainly left the other sequels squirming in its dust. It is not often that a movie tricks me into thinking it is foreshadowing something but then doesn't and does something else instead. This one did: Going to have to make time to watch the full Comanche language dub sooner than later.

She does a fair amount of voice over work. She's the original Birdgirl from Harvey Birdman, Attorney at Law and from the recent spin-off: Seriously, check out HB:ATL, classic Adult Swim with Steven Colbert in the early episodes (he returns for some of the later ones as well). I *thought* she did this VA, but maybe not. Similar sound though: That doesn't seem to be in her IMDB credits though.

VA by Lance Henriksen. RFO VA by Matt Frewer (Max Headroom). TV VA by Paget Brewster. Or vice verse. Those two arguing with each other in VA would be hilarious.

Received an e-mail today about a thread I started here: There has not been a reply to the thread since May 29th; received the email today. Pretty sure I do not have any settings (nor have I seen any) asking for email updates to my threads or posts. Is this some new switch that got turned on when forums were touched for our new reactions? If it is a setting I can turn off, could someone point me in that direction? Thx.

When were ATOs "Buffed?" They've been the same as they've ever been since at least March 2020 afaik. If something happened to them prior to that then [Citation Needed]. ATOs and Fury are separate issues - you're complaining about the flavor of your apples because other people's oranges taste better my undead friend. Fury, nerfed or otherwise has added +dmg (globally) to every damage aura in an armor set as well as every attack in an armor set such as Ground Zero. Maybe not Shield Charge as it has pseudo-pet nonsense happening and I can't be bothered to check it on CoD. Don't even get me started on Burn. The fact that Scrappers and Stalkers are denied critical hits in those same powers is a disparity that has existed in the game since 2005. The silly thing about our sub-thread here is that I actually agree that Fury was nerfed too hard, and we could actually band together and both lobby for what we want. I guess my sense of humor is as unintelligible online as it is iRL. Initial post about a "trade" was written with tongue placed firmly within cheek. In a better world we would both get what we want. 🤷‍♂️ 🍻

Meh. Scrappers/Stalkers been getting shafted on attacks in their secondaries since 2005. Tell ya what. re-write Fury and Tanker Buffs so attacks in armor sets are not buffed by those things and I'll consider that more balanced. 😛 Brutes deserve better ATOs - Tanker ATOs are insanely good with that stacking resistance. But ATOs and Inherents are two separate issues. Conflating them =/= balance.

I'll trade you. When Attacks/Auras in the armor sets for Scappers and Stalkers get critical hits, you can have Brute Buffs. 😄 (Fury buffs the Brute equivalents, AoE size increases buff the Tanker equivalents)

By pure chance. In early March of 2020 I went looking for an image of this scene from the movie Dark City: ... to post (... for ... um ... obvious reasons...) in a now defunct/replaced private forum run by RL friends and myself. Something about my search terms wound up giving me a link to an article (Massively maybe?) that was about the shutdown of City of Heroes, the S.C.O.R.E. project and various revival servers including Homecoming. Checked out the forums here and a couple of the other active servers. Nothing looked as good as Homecoming so I fired up an account and the rest is proverbial history.

This is interesting. There's a lot of math in this game (as with most RPGs, but here we are privy to the internal workings more than in other games), and folks who grow up studying/playing music tend to be at least half-way decent at math. Or maybe that is apocryphal, and I just bought into it because I was a musician as a kid, and an adult who kinda regrets putting down instruments in his 20s and never picking them up again. 🤷‍♂️ Maybe something about the design of The Cities draws the musically inclined?
