  1. This. The Homecoming team is creating new power sets, new content AND managed a licensing deal with NCSoft.
  2. I claim credit for this! I was at the raid when you hit 40,000 and made a 40K reference when it happened. 😛
  3. As the Neutrals in Futurama would say, "I have no strong feelings on this matter, one way or the other."
  4. They were NOT raised. But your initial observation is correct in my opinion. Margins have become narrower and it is (slightly) more difficult to turn a profit.
  5. I heard . . . um somewhere . . that a pen of hogs can devour a human body in minutes.
  6. The N.A. one is in Canada (maybe Toronto? I forget). The Europe one is in Frankfurt.
  7. It says, in red letters at the top, "Click the drop down in cell A4 to pick the start date for the cycle." The new start date would be 7 days after the date of the last week in the spreadsheet. I think you need to download it to edit it, or change a setting. I dunno. I have a more succinct version that I created which fits everything on a single page.
  8. The order does not matter. Task Force Commander, for example, requires that you do the six 'signature' task forces. You can do them in whatever order, over whatever length of time, that you like.
  9. No! We marketeer on different shards and don't give me any of that "market is cross server" baloney! I'm not listening! YOU CAN'T HAVE MY MONEY!
  10. Yes, BUT - only if you're level 50 or higher. Not sure why it has this restriction, since you can earn them at any level by other methods. I believe the odds are 2%.
  11. I figure things out as I level up. My only advance planning is to identify any key powers (like Fulcrum Shift or a blaster tier 9) and make sure to take them as soon as they become available. I use SO's until somewhere in the low 30's and then start crafting and slotting IO sets. I almost never respec at level 50 since the build I did on the way up is 'good enough'. The exceptions to the above are characters from back on live that I wanted to recreate exactly. In those cases, I had the builds and costumes saved, so everything was planned completely in advance but I used the above method for the original build back on live. This applied to about 15 of my level 50's on Homecoming (out of a total of 39, I think).
  12. There's an article up titled, "Five MMOs That Deserve A Second Chance". At the end, the article mentions an MMO that *DID* get a second chance - City of Heroes. And it specifically mentions the licensing deal and the Homecoming servers. https://www.mmorpg.com/editorials/five-mmos-that-deserve-a-second-chance-2000131647
  13. Are you familiar with the line from Grouch Marx, "I wouldn't want to join any club that would have me." I contend that, if Snarky is on the channel, it can't be very exclusive.
  14. Yes, that was my reason for making a Soldier of Arachnos - silliness. Mine was the irresponsible nephew of Lord Recluse and he had the back arms to resemble his uncle. His name was Lord Footloose and he was dressed like John Travolta in Saturday Night Fever.
  15. Well, you can identify a handful by going to the donations thread and looking for posts saying stuff like, "Got to donate this month!"
  16. Woohoo, made it just in time. 94% so far.
  17. Yes! We always need new units of measure. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Smoot
  18. I think you need to take into account seasonal variation. So, the population is lower in May than it was in winter? Okay. I do think the total population HAS increased in the wake of the license announcement. I think you're talking about the number of people online at any given time and that always goes down when the weather gets nicer.
  19. Such the social butterfly, isn't he?
  20. The question is moot, since I never take Unstoppable.
  21. Beats me. You can get them as an end-of-mission reward at any level, so why not for task forces? I guess the devs decided there's some balance reason.
  22. I agree with one part of this; that it's an unpopular opinion. I think it's a terrible idea. Personally, I have not seen this to be an issue and I'm REALLY skeptical that there is some huge difference between the players on Excelsior and Everlasting.
  23. To be perfectly clear, you're not running up the gnomon. Look at a real sundial and it doesn't have the "curvy arch" part. The gnomon is the straight, angled piece that would cast the time-telling shadow on an actual sundial. The "curvy arch" part in Ouroboros is a decorative addition.
  24. I think we need to clarify what you mean by "manage aggro". You can't control more than 16 targets at once. That's just how the game is designed. HOWEVER, you absolutely can have complete control over one or a small number of elite bosses, archvillains, giant monsters, whatever. When I'm tanking, I can keep the AV or whatever from even looking at anyone else. Can I control every minion in the area? No, and I don't care and I don't need to. Any team should be able to handle some minions. The tank's job is to manage the enemies that can one-shot people or throw an AoE that devastates half the team.
