  1. @TrixieKixx Just wanted to let you know that I won't be there this Saturday. We got invited to go to the Orange County fair with some family and they all want to be there when it opens. 🙂
  2. Depending on which boots you're talking about, it's not true that they only have a shiny option and that choosing Flat is your only way out of it (at least regarding female toons; I rarely make males). Many of the standard boots (Spiked, Stiletto, Finned, Large, Whatever the name of the default boot is, etc.) have options where instead of shiny leather, you can make them tights/matte. But yes, @Jacktar, a lot of the color matching comes down to textures and the way each color shows on a texture. I've had numerous cases where I have to play with textures or just live with a color not quite matching because they didn't want to line up and play nice.
  3. Thank you for trying it out and reporting back with your findings!
  4. I found myself kinda surprised I was able to come up with a concept for it! I went with a magic origin idea where the plants are almost like sentient and have sort of taken over a powersuit-type deal and it's the magic from the plants that fuels the energy needed for the beam rifle. Kinda convoluted atm since it was a late night spur of the moment kinda thing, but I think I can make it work. Will be nice once she gets the sustain that makes the suit look like it's covered in vines.
  5. I guess it depends on what you ultimately want to do/accomplish with your character? I had a Thermal/Sonic Defender that I had made to be a team player, even got her to 50, but, just for me personally, I didn't enjoy her. Idk what it was, but something didn't stick. But anyway, /Sonic is a great set for teamplay since you boost everyone's damage through its -res in the attacks, but if you're looking to solo, I'm not sure it's the best set to do that with since Thermal's big debuffs come late in the set and /Sonic's damage is pretty low. On that note, I want to fire up either a Thermal Defender/Corruptor, but I'm in debate over which blast set I'd want to pair it with, lol.
  6. I saw a post on Reddit or something about Beam/Plant and its ability to possibly stack some decent -regen on a hard target. I fired one up, but haven't done anything with her yet.
  7. A sort of evolution of my Demon/Storm MM from her initiation into the demonic cult she joined, to a shift to partial demon, to shift to full demon. I feel like the deeper and darker she has gone into her powers and "teachings," the less of a soul she seems to have, and the less human she becomes.
  8. Put me as tentative, please, with Human Mosquito - Water/Sonic Corruptor
  9. EEEE, Trix, he turned out so cute!
  10. Nice job y'all! @TrixieKixx Next week I hope to be there on Lola Huntress, Night Widow
  11. I wonder if slotting some of the attacks with end mod would be worth it? At least while leveling up?
  12. Thank you! I'll miss you guys. I should be able to make it the next Saturday since we'll be coming back on Friday.
  13. Erm, if you read my whole post, no, I am not really with you. 😅 Most of my day today will be spent at my internship, and then tomorrow and Saturday we'll be getting ready for our trip; I don't expect to even hit level 50, let alone getting my alpha unlocked and slotted and also have my powers slotted. As of right now, I don't plan to be there this Saturday.
  14. Yeah, this ended up being an issue for me the one and only time I've tried it. I grinded up Sara Falin and unlocked her alpha, only to spend pretty much the entire time on the floor. @TrixieKixx I've been working on Hallowed Sam, but she's only at level 37. Not sure if I can hit 50 and get her decently slotted and alpha slotted by Saturday. And still in debate if I'd be able to participate Saturday anyway because we're leaving for vacation Sunday and will be spending Saturday getting ready.
  15. Demons/Thermal is thematic, powerful, and solid. 🙂
  16. Empathy is neither here nor there, but if it's a set you really wanna play, I'd probably recommend it more on any other AT that gets the set (especially since MM's get the low end of the table in terms of buff/debuff percentages). It's not terrible, but its main focus is healing, which is nice, but reactionary, which is not the best way to help your pets. It's not horrible, but many of the other secondaries offer better support for your pets. If you plan to team a lot, then empathy won't be as terrible, but if you're going to solo, you'll be fine, but probably a little slow since emp won't really help your pets deal more damage and/or debuff your enemies. If you really want to go a healing/support route to your pets, I'd recommend Pain or Thermal instead as they have other useful goodies that actually benefit the pets.
  17. All available costume components are unlocked and available on HC, so if they're available for player use, you should be able to find them in the costume creator.
  18. Maybe if you're on mobile it's different, but it's there on my laptop.
  19. I have an elec/dark brute, but she's still a baby (in the 20's I think), and I'm not great at making builds, so unfortunately I don't really have anything useful to add, just that it's a fun combo.
  20. @SmalltalkJava made some really great points in their post that you should take into consideration. Also, as this is your first time playing kin, I'm not sure I'd advise starting off with a beast/kin MM. Kin is a very busy and active set and trying to balance it with managing already fast melee pets might be tough. By all means, give it a shot, but beware it might be more frustrating than fun until you get the hang of everything. And if you haven't already, I highly recommend these numpad binds for pet control: I make MM's so frequently I have this thing favorited/bookmarked and almost always open in one of my tabs so I can load the binds in for a fresh MM.
  21. I think we need more clarification here. You're being a bit vague and it's kind of tough to figure out how to respond to this. If you've played kinetics on any other AT, then you'll know it plays pretty much exactly the same on an MM. Beasts are a nice pairing for /kin because /kin likes to play in melee and beasts are melee pets, and the beasts are pretty tanky on their own, so /kin's lack of buffs in that regard doesn't hurt them as badly. Beasts are already pretty fast, so be careful when smacking them with speed boost--the super zoomies are fun, but can make them a bit hard to keep track of to make sure they don't do like the ninjas and take off to aggro extra mobs. This is a powerset combo that likes to play hard and fast. If you don't like risking needing to resummon pets in combat (mostly while leveling before you get all the upgrades and slotting stuff) and/or needing to keep a tight leash on your pets, then it may not be the powerset combo for you. However, @The_Warpact is right, the only way you'll know if you like the combo and "get" it, is to play it. Maybe don't run DFB, perhaps skip the double xp booster, perhaps even try soloing with it through some missions or something. If this is to be your first try with an MM, then I'm not sure I would recommend beast/kin as a pairing until you've gotten the hang of how MM's play.
  22. It is indeed a lot of zoomie fun. 😄 I have a beast/kin, and yeah, sometimes it's almost a bit too chaotic to try and manage, but it can certainly be some good fast-paced fun as a different type of playstyle.
  23. I didn't enjoy Beasts/TA either. Seemed like a good idea, but I ended up hating it. 😅
  24. @Bananiac I always love seeing your commentary. 🙂 @Midnyte I've never really done the TF, and never actually know what to call it/them because I see it advertised so many ways. TinPex just seems to be the most common way I see it in LFG so that's just what I said because I couldn't remember. 😅
  25. Those pics turned out great @Midnyte!
