  1. I don't understand why "No Mids = Do it on paper"? I use a spreadsheet and the city of data website.
  2. Hehehe, actual lol 🙂 "We've had one, yes. What about second break- Massive Content Update?"
  3. I have built an Illusion/Rad/Psi Dominator and it is awesome. It fills the map with things to distract the enemy, and then sneaks around Proton Volley-ing enemies in the neck. The only odd thing that makes me feel 😕 about the slotting is that I decided to 6-slot Radiation Siphon with Preventative Medicine for the Recharge bonus, but with Musculature Alpha, it still hits for okay damage. The constant cloud of Phantom Army helps me feel better about that choice though.
  4. This is the most correct answer. Check out EVE online. You can do whatever you can get away with, and everything ultimately has a real-world $$ value, so you can literally harm people out of game. Good hunting capsuleer!
  5. I think this is a good thing, and should be included in the next expansion. If it turns out to be bad, turn it off. Possible alternate names (as a fun thought exercise, not because I don't like the proposed name): Gestalt Bonus Variety Pack Powers Combined Archetypes Assembled Thank you and keep up the good work!
  6. So, the standard Homecoming answer is "You get 1000 slots per server, build both!" Both sets are very survivable in different ways. Both sets help with damage output. Both sets have damage/debuff auras that will make enemies stick to you even without Taunt (Up to the Aggro limit). Both sets can be carefully crafted in the costume editor to have STRIKING appearances. So far so good yeah?! I have a Radiation/Axe, Radiation/ Super Strength, Radiation/ Radiation, Radiation/ Titan Weapon, Bio/ Ice, and a Bio/ War Mace Tanker. I have several other Bio Armor Brutes, a couple of Bio Scrappers, a Bio Stalker, and a Bio Sentinel. In my experience, Rad is a bit tougher, a bit more face-tanky. Bio is all about seeing enemies getting ready to attack and slapping on an Absorption shield, or cranking up your Regen temporarily. However, Bio attacks while it defends, so you're damaging or debuffing enemies that get too close while you are bolstering your protection. Most Tanker Secondaries that have held weapons have a "no redraw" version in the costume creator, so switching between clicking Bio/ Powers and attacks is no problem. As for secondaries, I recommend going into the character creator, picking the power set, then going to the "custom" tab and looking at the attacks. The (Freakin' Incredible) Homecoming team has done years of work to make any of the power set choices at least "good". Pick something that you can really get attached to. Once you have picked a power set combination (or two, or three!), then come back here and see what builds and commentary people have posted for that specific combo. Also, ask questions in the Help or General channels. Good luck and welcome home!
  7. I'd go Ice, allowing for "Cold Domination" to count. My Ice/Ice Corruptor is one of my best characters, mechanically, and Ice Melee Stalker is very fun. Come to think of it, if you wanted the element to be "Water" and allowed for liquid water and ice to count, you'd get a whole truckload of characters: The various "Ice" power sets, Water Blast, Storm Blast, Cold Domination, Storm Summoning That covers all of the melee AT's, plus double quadruple (!) portions of several of the ranged AT's and Controllers. Good luck whatever you decide! (Bonus: If you go "Earth" at some point, you'll need to decide if "Nature" counts)
  8. Perfect Post, 100% correct. No Notes.
  9. Superjump now and forever. Once I learned how to lower my camera to see where I was going, super-hopping down hallways has just been the way to go. Ledge-jumping from building to building in Steel Canyon for height and then doing a multi-story swan dive to land right in front of the mission door is just so satisfying.
  10. Congratulations Homecoming Team! What a wonderful way to kick off the new year. 2024's Anniversary badge needs to be extra-EXTRA special 🙂
  11. Are the teams you're on completing the content they attempt? If so, in my opinion, you are "meeting expectations". If you wanted to know your own DPS, maybe there is a way to save a chat text log for a chat window with the damage channel only, and then you just add it up and divide by the time (turn on timestamps). Or pick an Elite Boss or AV and see how long it takes for you to solo it. It's super fun to tinker with your build and make your perfect monster character that does cool stuff. However, consider that finding out if you are doing as much damage as you want to does not require a system to be added to the game that monitors all players.
  12. It seems so obvious that I can't believe that it's not already in game!🙃
  13. If you have the slots, it's a place to 6-Slot Preventative Medicine for a 8.75% recharge bonus.
  14. You have to unscramble the letters that are NOT there!
  15. If I were a Regen Re-vive, Reconstruction, Integration, Quick Recovery, Dull Pain! All day long, I'd Dull Pain and Revive If I were a true Regen!
  16. I think you can log off while on a TF and when you log back in, you'll still be on the TF: from https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Task_Force (emphasis mine) "While running a task force, none of the team's other missions are available to them, and normal contacts won't interact with the player. This also means that stores who are contacts (such as Ghost Falcon or Serafina, for example) are unavailable for purchasing Enhancements during a task force. Arena stores, Pocket D, Wentworth's, and Ouroboros are still accessible to purchase (often much needed) inspirations. Once the task force has formed, you must continue to run the task force until you finish it or drop from it. Task force missions can be run over several play sessions; the game allows you to log out without dropping from the task force."
  17. You're mostly correct here. Be sure you're looking at the Cryptic server data on City of Data. In the links below, look on the left hand side for "Attack types" https://cod.uberguy.net./html/power.html?power=controller_control.illusion_control.spectral_wounds&at=controller https://cod.uberguy.net./html/powerset.html?pset=blaster_ranged.psychic_blast&at=blaster Spectral Wounds and Psychic Blast have Ranged or Area attack types in addition to Psionic, so Shield and SR will defend against those. And if you look at Blind and Mind Control https://cod.uberguy.net./html/power.html?power=controller_control.illusion_control.blind&at=controller https://cod.uberguy.net./html/powerset.html?pset=controller_control.mind_control&at=controller You'll see that the only attack type is Psionic, and so Shield and SR won't do anything on their own, as you said.
  18. Do you mean the thing where if one part of the interface failed to proc, the other would automatically fail as well? I believe that's fixed, but maybe someone can confirm. I also go Degenerative Core on my melee characters unless I'm doing something thematic.
  19. My picks: Claws/Bio: A never ending whirlwind of attacks. I skipped Eviscerate, so no flips. I put Knock Down procs in DNA siphon and Spin for added safety/ "impact" Dark Melee/ Radiation: A swiss army knife with an answer for almost every problem. Soul Drain, Dark Consumption, Ground Zero, and Mighty Judgement lets this character own any circular patch of ground she walks into. Energy Melee/ Energy Aura: This one just runs around punching things in the face or face equivalent. Almost never gets hit. When she does, Energize. If she's low on END, Energy Drain.
  20. This is a very good point, and such a street sweeping bounty system would should be set up to avoid the Numina enemy group/zone combinations. Especially Vahz in Faultline.
  21. Super Jump is Great. Super Jump + Combat Jump is Perfect. Super Jump + Combat Jump + Double Jump is even more Perfecter. If you are missing ledges at a half-mile range, maybe your internet provider has some explaining to do? *Obviously these are all (correct) opinions, void where prohibited.
  22. I don't have any info regarding the question you're asking. However, I like slotting Ragnarok if that set isn't needed elsewhere in the build, especially the knockdown proc. Few things are as satisfying as the almighty THUMP! that follows a Howling Twilight at the pull point in an MSR.
  23. Hello there! Do you mean Rebirth? If so, do you like Core or Radial?
  24. Cool idea, especially if it worked through power customization so every costume could have the options.
