  1. Dude, you're doing great. Ask any questions you feel need asking!
  2. +1 For Arsenal/Trick Arrow Controller. Mine is fun to play, and appreciated by teammates. I do use targeting binds to make the location AoE's single press powers. I am brewing up an Arsenal/ Savage Dominator, and it looks like it will smoothly achieve perma-dom, and shooting a mob at range with controls and then Feral Charge-ing in to do melee attacks feels like it will be a good time.
  3. On my Arsenal Controller, the rifle gets reset to the first option (Legacy Rifle), unsheathed. I get the same "easily fixed but if you miss it you pay for a change" behavior.
  4. I think the bombardment proc in Oil Slick Arrow itself doesn't work, or at least hasn't in any of the times I've tested. I swapped out the proc IO for Damage/Recharge with no regrets. However, the energy damage from the Energy Font from the Controller ATO sets it off reliably, and it's funny to watch the glowing spirit ball zipping into the group you have on the patch like that orc with the torch at Helm's Deep 🙂 Also, the fire proc from Reactive Interface works as well.
  5. The literal: Sprints. Temporaries. Attacks. Revokes. Travel. The in-world Specialized. Technologies. And. Reinforcement. Training. The fun: Start. The. Awesome. Rolling. Today.
  6. Thank you everyone! I slotted my oil slick arrow with Bombardment, including the Fire damage proc. We'll see if that creates a (randomly timed) auto-igniting slick. Also, I'll plan on getting Reactive Radial Interface so that most damaging powers have a chance to set the slick on fire. Last night on Indom, I was able to take part in a Nemesis invasion, and I have to say I'm very pleased with AC/TA for causing a lot of hard times for the bad guys! I just targeted through my Tri-Cannon and dropped clouds and patches anywhere it looked.
  7. Nice! I too am working up an AC/TA Controller and am excited about the amount of "danger zone" that the combo puts out. Do we know if the Oil from Oil Slick Arrow can be ignited by fire and energy? Flashbang and EMP Arrow may be able to ignite the slick if so (I can't quite make heads or tails of the city of data info the various oil slick entities). Either way, I was beside myself with joy to see my character with a bow, a quiver, and a rifle hanging off his back 🙂
  8. Ahh gotcha. That's fair. However, when I say "spreadsheet" I really mean a single tab that has columns for level, the power taken, how many slots, what goes in them, what the total +recharge is, and a cell to tell me how many slots out of total I have left. So it's almost a piece of paper 🙂 And I made the layout in 2019, so those minutes are well absorbed into time spent building characters.
  9. I don't understand why "No Mids = Do it on paper"? I use a spreadsheet and the city of data website.
  10. Hehehe, actual lol 🙂 "We've had one, yes. What about second break- Massive Content Update?"
  11. I have built an Illusion/Rad/Psi Dominator and it is awesome. It fills the map with things to distract the enemy, and then sneaks around Proton Volley-ing enemies in the neck. The only odd thing that makes me feel 😕 about the slotting is that I decided to 6-slot Radiation Siphon with Preventative Medicine for the Recharge bonus, but with Musculature Alpha, it still hits for okay damage. The constant cloud of Phantom Army helps me feel better about that choice though.
  12. This is the most correct answer. Check out EVE online. You can do whatever you can get away with, and everything ultimately has a real-world $$ value, so you can literally harm people out of game. Good hunting capsuleer!
  13. I think this is a good thing, and should be included in the next expansion. If it turns out to be bad, turn it off. Possible alternate names (as a fun thought exercise, not because I don't like the proposed name): Gestalt Bonus Variety Pack Powers Combined Archetypes Assembled Thank you and keep up the good work!
  14. So, the standard Homecoming answer is "You get 1000 slots per server, build both!" Both sets are very survivable in different ways. Both sets help with damage output. Both sets have damage/debuff auras that will make enemies stick to you even without Taunt (Up to the Aggro limit). Both sets can be carefully crafted in the costume editor to have STRIKING appearances. So far so good yeah?! I have a Radiation/Axe, Radiation/ Super Strength, Radiation/ Radiation, Radiation/ Titan Weapon, Bio/ Ice, and a Bio/ War Mace Tanker. I have several other Bio Armor Brutes, a couple of Bio Scrappers, a Bio Stalker, and a Bio Sentinel. In my experience, Rad is a bit tougher, a bit more face-tanky. Bio is all about seeing enemies getting ready to attack and slapping on an Absorption shield, or cranking up your Regen temporarily. However, Bio attacks while it defends, so you're damaging or debuffing enemies that get too close while you are bolstering your protection. Most Tanker Secondaries that have held weapons have a "no redraw" version in the costume creator, so switching between clicking Bio/ Powers and attacks is no problem. As for secondaries, I recommend going into the character creator, picking the power set, then going to the "custom" tab and looking at the attacks. The (Freakin' Incredible) Homecoming team has done years of work to make any of the power set choices at least "good". Pick something that you can really get attached to. Once you have picked a power set combination (or two, or three!), then come back here and see what builds and commentary people have posted for that specific combo. Also, ask questions in the Help or General channels. Good luck and welcome home!
  15. I'd go Ice, allowing for "Cold Domination" to count. My Ice/Ice Corruptor is one of my best characters, mechanically, and Ice Melee Stalker is very fun. Come to think of it, if you wanted the element to be "Water" and allowed for liquid water and ice to count, you'd get a whole truckload of characters: The various "Ice" power sets, Water Blast, Storm Blast, Cold Domination, Storm Summoning That covers all of the melee AT's, plus double quadruple (!) portions of several of the ranged AT's and Controllers. Good luck whatever you decide! (Bonus: If you go "Earth" at some point, you'll need to decide if "Nature" counts)
  16. Perfect Post, 100% correct. No Notes.
  17. Superjump now and forever. Once I learned how to lower my camera to see where I was going, super-hopping down hallways has just been the way to go. Ledge-jumping from building to building in Steel Canyon for height and then doing a multi-story swan dive to land right in front of the mission door is just so satisfying.
  18. Congratulations Homecoming Team! What a wonderful way to kick off the new year. 2024's Anniversary badge needs to be extra-EXTRA special 🙂
  19. Are the teams you're on completing the content they attempt? If so, in my opinion, you are "meeting expectations". If you wanted to know your own DPS, maybe there is a way to save a chat text log for a chat window with the damage channel only, and then you just add it up and divide by the time (turn on timestamps). Or pick an Elite Boss or AV and see how long it takes for you to solo it. It's super fun to tinker with your build and make your perfect monster character that does cool stuff. However, consider that finding out if you are doing as much damage as you want to does not require a system to be added to the game that monitors all players.
  20. It seems so obvious that I can't believe that it's not already in game!🙃
  21. If you have the slots, it's a place to 6-Slot Preventative Medicine for a 8.75% recharge bonus.
  22. You have to unscramble the letters that are NOT there!
  23. If I were a Regen Re-vive, Reconstruction, Integration, Quick Recovery, Dull Pain! All day long, I'd Dull Pain and Revive If I were a true Regen!
  24. I think you can log off while on a TF and when you log back in, you'll still be on the TF: from https://homecoming.wiki/wiki/Task_Force (emphasis mine) "While running a task force, none of the team's other missions are available to them, and normal contacts won't interact with the player. This also means that stores who are contacts (such as Ghost Falcon or Serafina, for example) are unavailable for purchasing Enhancements during a task force. Arena stores, Pocket D, Wentworth's, and Ouroboros are still accessible to purchase (often much needed) inspirations. Once the task force has formed, you must continue to run the task force until you finish it or drop from it. Task force missions can be run over several play sessions; the game allows you to log out without dropping from the task force."
