  1. I ask myself the same thing every day!
  2. I purposefully stand in the rez so I can kick their asses a second time. It's about sending a message!
  3. While Fire Melee did get substantial buffs, I think Nrg Melee still pulls ahead in ST damage. Fire Melee is the better option if you want a mix of both ST and AoE. That's not to say Nrg's AoE is pure garbage. It certainly feels better than it did before with the Tanker buff, but it's hard to compare to Combustion+FSC. Keep in mind you'll have Burn and the option of epic AoEs, always a welcome addition to a build. Fire Armor got mag 1 KB protection, just enough to protect against minor KD, so I would still recommend slotting extra protection for general gameplay. My Fire/MA Tank has 9 points after the buff (no slotting changes) and seldomly gets knocked around by Rom's shield, Force Bolt, etc. Both combos are great choices!
  4. I took some pics too! For a little bit, then I forgot These are some funny looking Freaks! Infernal. A strong AV. Very tough if you're not ready. Diabolique. A stinky poo-poo pants that doesn't play the game. Very bad AV. Herding Council. Nothing like it!
  5. Here's another example build for you Reaching softcap melee DEF was more of a happy accident than a real goal of mine. I just had the extra slots. There are easily some picks here that can be swapped out for Soul Mastery. I've taken a liking to Burnout with my Elec Armor toons as a "T9". While cascade is a very rare occurence, when it does happen I can just use Energize and Power Sink twice. This tops up my HP and completely (or almost completely) drains mobs around me, turning a bad situation into a great one! And if you're constantly fighting, it'll be back up in around 7 minutes. That's about once a mish. I can totally see the argument dropping it for Darkest Night though.
  6. Beheader and Gash are the ones that can be skipped. Gash is a pretty good power, but skippable.
  7. I was experimenting with this combo at one point, mostly to deepen my understanding of what pairs the best with Elec Armor. My first piece of advice would be not worry about building extra RES too much since Elec more or less takes care of that on its own. YMMV, but DEF is a give or take for me. A little bit is fine to soften alphas, but you shouldn't sacrifice in other areas for it. Also, stuffing a Force Feedback: Chance for +Recharge in every attack is how you turn yourself into a woodchipper. Elec Armor should be able to withstand the huge end tax that comes with it (use Energize and spam Power Sink on cooldown). I would also recommend building as much Slow RES as you can. It'll prevent -Recharge from affecting you. I'm not at home right now to give you a build example, but I hope these tips help.
  8. Raccoons are just pandas that want your old Mcdonald's fries!
  9. Revengeance Ryzing, Ninja Blade/Radiation Armor Stalker Slight inspiration from Anubis Cruger, the Shadow Ranger
  10. The Corpse Piler, Super Strength/Bio Armor Brute And I made this spooky one because I thought it was neat
  11. I made a panda! Cyber Trash Panda, Savage Melee/Regeneration Brute
  12. I was recently playing through Faultline, and came to Arbiter Sands in the mish where you have to fight him and destroy the 3 subs. Well, he randomly decided to super jump over from where he stands to the opposite catwalk and nail me with a web grenade, rendering me completely unable to chase him. What a god.
  13. Combination of the attitudes of other players and a lot of raid mechanics being exercises in frustration. By the time the latter got ironed out they started severely watering down the gameplay of my favorite class, which stunk a lot. I haven't tried playing again since Warlords of Draenor.
  14. Huge agree on this. Personally the entire first map in TSW is some of my favorite content in MMOs. Loved everything mixed into it. Lovecraft, occult, modern hauntings, demonology, native american history. Also the whole haunted mansion bit where you travel backwards in time! So good. I really wish I liked the Egypt section more. Navigating through the pyramids and talking to gods should've been way more fun than it was, but ended up being fedex after fedex (and no fun research missions). By the time I got to Transylvania I was exhausted. Which is a real shame. I didn't like the way that zone opened up either. Ok, so for my hot take, this was totally WoW for me. I think WoW is incredible as a solo questing RPG, but I just do not enjoy group content there. So, once I'd lvl cap a character, I was pretty much done playing it. Not much new that would cause me to go back either, as I felt the game peaked during Lich King anyway.
  15. Lately it's been Rad Armor. Invuln! I know it's good but it's so boring. I like my armor sets to have some interactivity to them. Well, the most common offenders are Rad and Bio, but we know why. One set I could argue is overtuned in the wrong direction now is Fiery Aura. The extra Max HP and regen has made it extremely tanky and a lopsided tradeoff for the Burn fix, to the point where I usually don't consider it for offense as much as a hybrid-Regen tank with some offense built in. Another one I feel gets overlooked as overtuned is Energy Aura, though it's overtunedness (yes I made up a word) is directly proportionate to it's skill ceiling. I genuinely feel every armor set has everything it needs to perform at a high level. Yes, including Regen. Could there be tweaks to some? Sure. But none of them are really struggling, per se. My thought process is pretty simple. If I wanna play something safe, I'll pick a DEF-based powerset. If I feel like living on the edge and offense minded, I'm reaching for a RES-based powerset. They typically have more options to boost sustainability whereas DEF powersets are more inclined to never be in danger in the first place. Only on Tanks! Broots are for brooting and Scrappers exist. As you skew the difficulty up (including Advanced Difficulty), RES-based powersets start to pull ahead based on how consistent their protection is. Capped RES and some solid HpS is more reliable since DEF and Absorb buffs are more readily available in quantitative amounts at a high level (Cold, FF, Nature, Barrier). Can that be flipped on its head? Sure. My SR/DM Tank turns into a 4* god with a Thermal and Nature present. In the end, every armor set can be made godlike with the right support backing it. Besides damage? Well, I guess Taunt. It is the best crowd control in the game, after all. I tend to stay away from League-sized Tanking because I just don't want to. I'm more inclined to much more personal gameplay experiences. I love love love small team Tanking. My most fun times in the game are running a Tank in teams of 4 or smaller. If anything, it compounds my beliefs further. Having only 1 or 2 teammates forces you to analyze the situation much more and pay attention to how their powers influence your gameplay. If I'm looking for a particularly safe combo, my go to pairing is usually Ice Melee. It may be a damage monster now, but it has always been the picturesque example of how a melee set can add to survivability thanks to Ice Patch and Freezing Touch (and to a lesser extent the sleep in Frozen Aura). Rune is also one of my go to choices for DEF sets that can utilize the extra burst mitigation.
  16. Sounds like someone is jealous!
  17. I was told by my dad back in 2019 ((yes, he still plays) yes we do play together sometimes). Unfortunately I was on hard times and without a PC then, so I didn't get to come back until August 2020. Logging in again for the first time was unreal.
  18. If we're talking about a strictly solo experience, I would probably go with the Blaster. /Tactical Arrow has some incredible utility in it for a blaster secondary. I feel it'll also take off sooner and smoother than a corr or def. It can start building a tiny bit of bulk that def/corr TA have to wait for and is also better on End. You don't give up much for it either comparatively. None of the choices are bad though! I would even argue the Corr might perform better at 50 with IOs.
  19. I think this is the issue!
  20. Yes!
  21. There's only one correct answer
  22. I have Gauntleted Fist Dam/Rech, Dam/End/Rech, Acc/Dam/Rech/End in Combustion and Acc/Dam, Acc/Dam/Rech, Rech/+Absorb in Incinerate. GFS has Dam, Dam/End, %dmg. 0 accuracy. Yes it's sacrilege but I've slotted many powers like that in the past and never really have to deal with miss streaks often. As far as EXing down, I hardly ever do that outside of teams, and there's usually plenty of buffs and/or mobs go down quickly enough that the holes in the build hardly ever show. It's definitely a 50+ build.
