  1. Something to keep in mind, is the pet buffs are Targeted AoEs now, but pets can still be out of range of you're upgrading on the move. You have to target one pet in order to get the buffs to fire off however, so it can take some time to upgrade when the pets are 'spawning' as they aren't targetable right away.
  2. I just ran this arc, and it seems to be that Numina is more a 'Astral Projection' then a 'Ghost' and that is why things that are effective against ghosts don't seem to work well against Numina. She's a 'special' type of 'something else' but is most definitely not a 'Ghost' in the sense of Ghost Widow, or even Circle of Thorns spirits.
  3. I'll throw my hat in the ring for ill/traps, as you can toe bomb while invisible and even put trip mine to use for good AoE damage. PA takes what little aggro you do get, and /traps has the best -regen (and AoE hold) power in the game with Poison Trap. Its a little slow going, but once you get some global recharge, which you want for perma PA anyways, you can cycle the traps between groups accordingly and really get things rolling. Plus you get a web grenade to get containment on at low levels.
  4. 'nerfs' and rebalancing are part of an ever evolving, healthy game. If they only buffed things, we would get into an issue with power creep that will never stop. I trust in the metrics the devs are using to rebalance things, and I appreciate the work they are doing to better our game, even if it occasionally comes with 'nerfs' to certain powersets or combinations. Making the pets even level, to remove the purple patch being an issue, and adjusting from there is an iterative process that should be taken with caution, so that we can get buffs later, instead of nerfs. Look at the tanker changes for an example of something being overly buffed, and having to roll back certain things. It's still technically better than what it was before the change, but because of the roll back, people screamed 'you nerfed me!' and have a sour taste in their mouth over the changes.
  5. From what I understand, all of the other Master of badges reflect the task force/strike force contact name (Imperious Task Force (ITF), Lord Recluse Strike Force (LRSF) etc) and this is the only set of badges that specifically call out the 'story' of the task force/strike force. I'll agree with the OP that for simplicity sake, the name should be changed. Also, the 'badge hint' says the same thing for both badges, which can get confusing until you complete one or the other.
  6. I ran some incarnate level (+7/x8) missions on test just to see if I could and I noticed that 1) Incarnate romans suck, but more importantly 2) The procs that I do have slotted seemed to do full damage on the mobs. I run the support hybrid so I wasn't able to test that specifically, but my degenerative interface proc worked wonders once I got the hang of fighting level 57 mobs.
  7. If you skip Babbage, and grab the temp power envenomed dagger, Synapse is solo-able with just about any AT that can survive the damage from the clockwork king. He's a bit of a push over at that level, as he doesn't have his psionic powers yet (I don't think anyway). The defeat alls do take awhile, but it is entirely possible to do them alone now.
  8. I recently did Alexander the Greats arc, and got to see the new Warriors in action, and I really like the changes that have been made to them. They feel just like the lower level Warriors, just with slight upgrades, and I enjoy seeing the new powersets in the works as well (I saw Staff Melee for sure, but definitely new animations for the ranged attacks as well) Keep up the great work!
  9. Is there an update for Kallisti Wharf now that it has proper exploration badges and mobs within the zones? I was able to collect all of the exploration badges via the tips that you get from killing mobs, but finding what mobs spawn in what location for hunt missions is still not available.
  10. I second the Mastermind recommendation. I main a bot/traps and it can literally do everything. You have a mini-army to control, and traps has a lot of fire and forget powers. All you need is high recharge and you can handle any content that the game can throw at you, including soloing multiple AVs at once. I've heard good things about /marine as well, but I haven't played it yet to get a feel for what it does, but really any Mastermind combination is going to be a good solo-er.
  11. I voted yes because I've been running Nemesis arcs a lot lately, and seeing groups of 4+ LTs who stack vengeance to insane levels each pull is out right annoying. Anything to add more counter-play mechanics to the game would be welcome and allow for more variety then Jaegars/LTs who drop vengeance with the occasional warhulk/fake Nemesis in the mix.
  12. Was there ever a reason given as to why? Aside from Super Inspirations, is there anything else that threads/shards can be used on that I'm missing?
  13. They fixed the ranged pets going into melee bug awhile ago, Robotics, Thugs, and Mercs tend to stay in range MUCH more often then they used to on live.
  14. I mean, tickets are an option too i guess. Reward Merits make more sense, (as tickets are usually AE only items, and threads/shards drop in NON-AE content.)
  15. Or rewards merits, so you can at least use them to roll recipes?
  16. I mean, super inspirations are great and all, but when you have literally thousands of shards and threads, it doesn't really solve the problem. Heck, I'll take a "You win Incarnates!" Badge that costs like 3,000 threads as a true way to dump them.
  17. So, we're assuming this current page is already panel 1? Like that's how the internal count works?
  18. So, incremental updates are best, I love the process y'all have. Page 4 is after the holidays, that much is clear. But panel 2? What's the time table on that?
  19. I suggest there be something new to use them on, I've collected literally thousands of them and ran out of things to create with them. What's something we can use them on when you have an overabundance of them?
  20. Have you tried doing doing the arc via Ouroboros? Or checked to see if that arc has already been completed on her character for some reason or another? Doing the arc via Ouroboros will allow you to unlock the options for the Erin West arc, I've tested that already, it checks the story arc souvenir for you.
  21. Not to derail this thread too much, but I recently redid this arc via O-zone, and its rather fun. Plus its quick and good for the O-zone badges.
  22. There are very few definite time table things in City of Heroes. I think it would make more sense to list the things that are constants (Statesmen/Sister Psyche's 'disappearance') then to list to ones that aren't (Darrin Wade's time table is most confusing, but referenced a lot these days)
  23. I'll second this, having a way to search badges would be very useful. I accidentally ran another Master of Lady Grey because I forgot I already had the badge. We were successful and I was very confused why I didn't receive the badge credit, when lo and behold I already had the badge from a run years ago.
  24. I haven't seen this mentioned before, so I wanted to try to address it and see what is actually going on. On Beta, my Pulse Rifle Burst and Photon Grenade have little circles around them and give a 'buff' icon when in use, but I don't see them doing anything else. Is this just to symbolize the -regen is 'recharged' and needs to be reapplied, or is there something I'm missing in the patch notes that explain what is going on? I know other sets have duration like effects to them, but Robotics doesn't have anything but -regen now, so there isn't really a reason to have a circle around the power as it doesn't boost the pets in any tangible way (-regen is nice, don't get me wrong, but its not +crit or +acc like Ninjas and Mercs, or +street cred like Thugs has now.)
  25. I know that having the upgrade be permanent isn't in the cards, but what about changing them from a targetted AOE to a Point Blank AOE with the range being supremacy? This way you don't have to get target the pets to upgrade them, and should still be able to upgrade during the summoning animations?
