  1. I've been playing Outer Worlds after my brother got it for me with the express request I discuss it with him and it's been a delight. I'm 35 hours in, Parvati is the best, Martin Callahan is horrible/hilarious, and the silly parts of this game are very silly but I'm really starting to get into the overall plot a lot more. I'm not going very fast because I like to wander and read everything. Started stealing everything like a gremlin by this point.
  2. I've joked I should be allowed to hunt people who idle beside me with spines burst on for sport.
  3. I think this sounds really neat! It might increase my chances of being chased around a bit when I go for explore badges, but that actually sounds kind of exciting. It's not like I'll suffer for it.
  4. I'm not looking forward to having to change all the powers for my custom enemies.
  5. (I put this in bug report initially, sorry about that) Mini sinks below the surface when you use /e innertube
  6. I know what to expect, it's a guaranteed period of activity, and I like pew pewing those little clockwork jerks.
  7. Probably Synapse, it's my favourite. Seriously!
  8. I ran off a guy who kept trying to cyber with my character by going 'oh bee tee dubs, I'm a guy' because apparently *that* was a bridge too far. Total stranger was fine. But a MALE one?
  9. Why not? If your character's a hetero male and you want to share that detail, you absolutely should!
  10. Cobrachicken! Pictured her going about her business and also what it looks like when she charges a villain/anyone who looked at her funny. She's an animal spirit, so don't think too hard about whether those are tights or feathers.
  11. Someone had to quit our Synapse today for dog walking reasons and it was fine. Didn't feel worst at all. Dogs need walking. I would say the worst thing you can do in this game is be mean about my costume 😞
  12. It's true. Raising Hell's strawberry rhubarb pie always does a slamdunk at the Hellion picnic!
  13. Original Flavour Dark Astoria! I used to just hang out in there bein' spooky on live and during shutdown it was the zone I thought of most, thinking of stories to go with the explore badges which are *amazing* for that zone. The ghosts of people walking in the distance, the fog, the music, the way it builds out to a more and more arcane area with the graveyard... yes good.
  14. I got Fun and Games the other day! She's going to be my ticket collector in AE
  15. I got Ground Squirrel for a kin/stone. I'm well pleased.
  16. I know I can mod it out. But maybe the ringing phone noise can be taken out of the Atlas Icon ambient noises? It keeps setting me off in a 'I need to answer that' when I'm trying to modify a costume.
  17. Paragon University's Agricultural Department is very small. There's really only two professors in it along with the chair. One of them, Dr. Tracey Ellis, is determined that the chair will be *hers* soon, when the inevitable retirement happens. She's ruthless. She's done her time. The other professor? Toast on jam. Anyway Dr. Art Maton, the other professor, is a Nemesis Automaton that's in such a stage of malfunction by this point it is completely unaware there's a competition at all. "A+, students! I'm just not myself without my coffee! Mondays, right? Remember to do your reading!" *head slowly rotates* Also his voicebox had started skipping since he got some Hamidon goo stuck in it after ending up in a raid when his navigation sensors glitched. Tracey is going to feel pretty embarrassed when it finally clicks.
  18. The Outcast girls of Girls Gone Rogue Isles think of THEMSELVES as the ones that got away. That hero that busted in on Frostfire's hideout got them arrested, yes, but none of them had ended up with a sentence that exceeded three months. Quickfrost remembers with satisfaction how MAD the hero had looked during the court proceedings as it was declared that mere prescence wasn't enough to convict her of even a fraction of what the hero claimed was going on. She remembers seeing the same hero the day she was let out of the zig and gave them a little wave as she lit up her first cigarette in a while. She knows she's courting danger going into the more white collar crime with I&E after, but she loves knowing it's killing the hero inside that they can't prove anything. Blazed didn't taunt the hero so much. She's more afraid of things going south for her since she's only on parole, the judge deemed her higher risk because of her fire problems, and she doesn't want to deal with too much scrutiny. But she knows she's seen the hero watching her. She sticks to other heroes now when she leaves Pocket D - defense in friendship - and has stopped scouting for locations for acquisitions for Quickfrost's 'Imports and Exports' business entirely. She works in the warehouse only and hopes there won't be another raid. There's 9 other Outcast girls gone rogue isles and they've all reported the hero doing stalking. "I'm not sure if they even have time to 'fight crime' anymore," says Chronic Burnout. "Christ, how pathetic is that."
  19. I think I would start out in Galaxy City and be at Steel Canyon for class when the meteors hit and so I'd relocate to Talos because it's probably my favourite comfortable zone. I'd keep fighting the urge to sneak into original flavour Dark Astoria until Mot rises while I am, again, in class and come home to seeing them barricading the old entrance. I start to worry about going to class. I was, after all, originally at the Salamanca Campus...
  20. The company is nice. My farmer's an actual character and it's nice to get to play with a doorsitter or seven that way while I'm doing my thing on my map.
  21. I liked Chrono-Bot so much I made her my handle! She's a time drone sent back from the year 3xxx to gather historical information (once she's near the end of her uselife, she's supposed to go bury herself somewhere to be retrieved in the future) and was given a very lacking briefing (which is also why she was sent back to fill in the blanks) and she says a lot of worrying things like 'what's an ocean' and 'don't worry about about leaving anything for your descendants'. She's electropunk so she's retro-fitted to use electricity. A government official came to tell her that she was going to be dismantled so her advanced tech could contribute to science and she kicked him in the soft bits until he left her alone. When she DID see her first ocean she ran into it in delight and found out she wasn't waterproof and had to be left in a tub full of rice. Her powers are electric/time and she is a blaster, which is LOTS of fun to play. Zapzapzapzap and the general cool factor of time. On live she was a time defender, but I wanted to be a damage dealer this time around. Blasters are good for pretty much everything, really, so she always fits in when I bring her out to play.
  22. No? They would be resetting the missions. And the costumes would probably just be randoms - impossible to tell from a regular bad costume.
  23. Botters in open world tend to be after a specific loot a wild mob gives - but given that almost everything drops the (sameish) look in city of heroes, it's more rewarding to be inside a mission hunting mobs than it is to be street sweeping. So if there were bots, we never saw them because they were inside and out of sight.
  24. I'm looking forward to it! I really liked the original comics run and it'll be neat to see Kamala in live action. I think the power change makes sense in a visual appeal sort of way, although I do fondly recall the times in the comics people were like 'your powers are gross and weird' because there needs to be more of that in powers.
