ha, yes. I've gotten a few defeat badges on my first mission against a group for other factions too. I'd go for a higher number but the bio *does* say 100 members.

It's best not to ask why she didn't know what that was (she's from the year 3000-something, please don't ask too many questions for your own sake) but she was so excited she ran right in! Anyway she wasn't waterproof and had to be put in rice until she got better. She thought it was very neat though. Quickfrost: Her first complete business spreadsheet. After she got out of jail from being arrested with the other Outcasts, she wanted to try out being a middleman instead of a street level gang member. But she didn't know if she'd have the skills to run her own business. But it just... clicked. Everything balanced. Things made *sense*. It wasn't out of her reach. It was the day she realized she really was capable. She absolutely uses this skill for illegal shit. Silver Cygnet: his first 3 am kebab combo from city of gyros (the 'shame deal'). He was drunk, up too late, and it was like eating ambrosia.

I stand by it for the myth - their group offshoots turn into gorgons, banshees, etc, so there's definitely a deliberate meta myth attachment with them. edit: by 'meta' I mean their progression in the game's story. Greek-god named group's story moves into greek monsters as they're subsumed into another group. Although I'm still pretty satisfied tying it just for the Artemis bit.

I've suggested this in another thread ages ago but I want to make it its own thing: From the bio of the enemy faction: The Knives of Artemis are one of the deadliest groups of mercenary combatants in the world. It is rumored that they number no more than 100, but no one is certain. Masters of stealth and reconnaissance, they are highly skilled with all weapons, but the crossbow is their signature. My proposal is that for defeating 101, you gain the badge Mythbuster.

I got totally sassed for it on a team (where I wasn't even using it, they were just peeping on my info) for having the rocket launcher on my archery blaster but that thing is FUN when sneaking up on Hellions.

I like this idea but I'm worried that a good portion of the contestants will be at work or school at the time it's scheduled. At least, that's where I'll be.

I remember doodling around in Atlas and ran into *two people* who had character names I'd had on live. I was like 'oh neat!' And then, five minutes later, I found out my heraldic lion character wasn't so unique... down to the colour scheme. I do hope they didn't think Bonny Herald was a deliberate copy of Lion Rampant, just a case of great minds.

You can see them in the Facemaker buildings over on Redside as friendly NPCs! They apparently get out to play as a special encounter in the KR revamp.

I think a psy/kin troller has a lot of potential to be played that way. Screwing with people but in a 'not touching you!' way. My bots/dark MM on live was a pacifist - his robots were autonomous beings and he was just following behind to keep things from going out of control.

Had a guy give (politely) advice I change one of my characters from Warrior to an Outcast (or was it the other way around....? I have a lot of both for the same reason) for canon reasons and I was faced with the crossroad of doing like, a super intense 'LET ME TELL YOU MY CANON INFERENCES FROM THE WINCOTT AND FLUX ARCS!!!' enthusiasm and uhhh just telling him the short version that I appreciated the advice but this was a supergroup story thing. So advice givers beware! You may end up with story info dump on you from someone who just wants to share with SOMEONE! I did the second because I won that dance with the devil that day. He said something like 'cool, got it'

I can shoot and shoot with my assault rifle and they don't fall down for a while so I'm gonna assume whatever I'm firing, those aren't bullets. I liked the old frankengun design because it let me pretend I had really weird ammo going on. Arrest by a thousand papercuts. Anyway it says we arrested them. In my personal RP I pretend I have one-use police medic/holding cell teleporters to drop on them.

I type out: "Nooooo, [name]!" and if I've got room to breathe I'll add stuff like 'why god, why couldn't be me!?' and 'they were so young and vibrant!' and then when they're rezzed a second later I go 'oh they're fine, nvm' That is what is defeat is to me. Oh when I die? I just go "Aw nerts!"

OH that is why that guy kept going 'an archer with a LRM rocket' over and over when they ran into my ar/ta/whatever has LRM rocket I picked just for that
