  5. This. I am not a huge fan of the specifically Incarnate oriented content. It is too tied to the Praetorian storylines, and as such the monotonous reappearance of IDF and similar enemiess tends to be tiresome. The design of incarnate content like the Apex task force and the BAF strikes me as deliberately unfair to melee, especially scrappers, brutes, and stalkers. The design of the BAF specifically discourages tankers from doing the job the AT us designed to do. I will run them on other ATs, but I prefer not to bring my melee mains. The Dark Astoria material has more variety, even if too many of the mobs are debuff happy and as such team unfriendly. Tsoo missions especially can get tedious with large teams. Fortunately, on HC you don't need any of that material to progress your incarnates. Nor is it necessary to run Mender Ramiel and face Trapdoor and Tendaji. Just running any content that gives XP will supply you with unlocks, threads, and empyrean merits that can be used to craft incarnate geemies. You can go back to Ouro and run content you missed. You can unlock Katie Hannon and Hess if you haven't. You can do your favorite task forces again. They're much more fun on a fully slotted 50. All of these things will progress your incarnates also. The specifically incarnate content is more efficient but unnecessary.
  6. 'Which tanker should I bring to the task force' is a guide I wrote many years ago. It is quite obsolete, leaving out many later added task forces and trials, and taking no note of later added primaries like Bio. But it still may be helpful. I am not a fan of Apex and have not run it on a tanker often enough to form an opinion, though power sets like Bio, Rad, and Fire that are strong against toxic damage may have an advantage. I have no idea what's best against IDF, because those mobs are the Longbow/Arachnos of the late game; they bore me witless, poorly designed and overused, and their attacks are so over the place that I hcan't begin to make a guess what does best. At any rate it may be helpful.
  7. On old live I had a sword/regen scrapper named Grignr, who was Technology origin. If anyone was skeptical, I pointed out that Grignr was not really sure how his broadsword worked.
  8. I really miss the old version of the event, where trhe object and badge came from stopping the Paladin appearing at all, by defeating the small armies of CW that built him. After a while no one bothered, which meant that there could be up to three Paladins wandering KR, and they usually hung out on a grassy hill by the ramp leading up to north KR. I would treat them like the Babbage ambush every time we ran a Manticore, as a lagniappe awarding a handful of extra merits.

  12. No: any character whose attacks involve a sword, a mace, a staff, a bow, or a gun is Technology origin. All of them are using tools. and tools are technology.
  13. Is the Rikti WZ Crash Site music available for looping in a base? It might be on the list, but I can't pick it out from those.

  15. On both male and female characters, Hostile faces with Clown makeup are golden. The less assuming they are, the more versatile the pieces. Nothing particularly sciencey or comical about this fellow. . I am always on the lookout for pieces that can be repurposed. Pay no attention to the names; this is one of the samurai chest details given a different recoloring to match the blue jeans, and behold, you have overalls. This too can be done for male characters and works just as well. I think the Roman 'toga', more like a tunic, is a bit too short for an actual Greco-Roman themed character. On female characters I usually augment it with the Talons skirt, which has a compatible draped effect. Colored rthe same, they mesh fairly well. The Talons skirt is also a good foundation for slightly more formal and textile looks, espeecially when confined with Gunslinger or Steampunk parts:
  16. This the one where Wonder Woman tears into the new Green Lantern on a public street as a pep talk to persuade her to fight crime? Generally lost interest in the DC DTV cartoons when they Flashpointed the cartoon universe.
  17. Fleetwood Mac - Need Your Love So Bad RIP Peter Green😥
  18. I always prioritize recovery starting at level 7 so I tend not to focus on that on incarnates. A character that has too bad endurance issues will never get that far. I go Barrier first and get Barrier Core to t4 to let me go toe to toe with Recluse with minimal support. I will then use any spare incarnate junk to go Ageless, esp. for a Hami tank.
  19. Bardcore - Smells Like Teen Spirit (Latin)
  20. I use Brickstown for the same reasons. Brickstown AE is also convenient to the base dropoff.
  21. There is no necessary inconsistency between fire farming and narrative. My most recent story Heaven and Hell is tuned for fire armor characters. It doesn't have an overwhelming story, but I did try to think up a scenario where it made senae for the enemies to have fire based powers, and add a bit of characterization to the NPCs friend and enemy.
  22. Neither the arena nor the AE building in Galaxy are usable, which disappointed me when I went looking for a quiet place to work on my stories. Yeah, I know that the main AE buildings have that quiet room, but being completely detoggled and absorbed in the moment, then running downstairs to test what you've done, is an occasion for low comedy. Then again that's basically what I do there.
  23. Finally created a proper entryway to the Firemullet Groupies base on Everlasting. Some people want all the utility NPCs handy right inside the entrance. I made a little scene with them. Here, we have bouncers, a head waiter, and emergency medical help (this place needs it) But I'm especially proud of the spread we gave the Midnighter quartermaster in the other corner... Desk scale, cash register, stack of 100s, syringes, blood bag, various flasks and bottles, and a light smoke effect, and ivy.
  24. If you have moved the entrance it may not be there. But, again, if you have editing rights the slash command /editbase 1 will call it forth. This can be done anywhere in the base.
