Was it? I always thought the animations are SO much like the style of gun-fu in Equilibrium. Starlord just shoots, he doesn't gun-dance around (well..he DOES dance, but not while shooting I guess). Thinknig about the original question again, and what Brand said.. I am sure the snipoe changes made DP worse off, as all (most?) other sets got a super fast, great damage attack, that can be fired 'first' to do even more damage. The closest thing DP has to a snipe, Piercing, is slow (even if it looks quick, and awesome). Likewise, ExeSHot is also slow (compare that to Blaze, haha!) Then the Nukes. DOnt get me wrong, I love the bullet dance. But again, its SLOW. Granted, you get some def with it, which makes sense..but 10% def on an AT with none (usually) is not a heap. And the damage is DoT, which makes it kill slow too, and feel less damage than it actually is. So back to the idea of combos and build up..I think it would be really cool. Titan, water, streetJ all at least get some kinda offensive buff, and staff has the Form doing +damage. AR gets..shit. But that is another story. I think if you 'aim' a blast of fire (never mind the fact you are aiming it for teh get go, just to get it in the general direction), WHY can you not aim down the sights of a rifle, or a pistol (or turn of some low powered, limited use lasers, hint hint). An Aim/Bu/Combo would help DP a lot, and make the nuke hit harder (thinking about it, whats gonna do more damage, a blast of fire, or 20 odd pistol bullets..yep, of course its the ONE shot of fire). Perhaps if the first tier attacks, and the cone, built a combo of a few stacks, each with a +damage (or even +damage to teh secondary element) and then after max stacks, you get a 10-15 second hit of +35+ damage, letting you get to the next mob and nuke it. Or...just make Swap Ammo inherent (water and stj and tw dont need a separate power to get the benefits of what is basically the defining part of the set) and give it a Laser Sight click power.

Please do awsy with Fear (not terror) on EB's an AV's
Razor Cure replied to Andrewvm's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I agree with this. I tried soloing a cap sf awhile back, and Infernal just would NOT stand still. He couldnt hit me or my pets, but just ran away every 10odd seconds, and ran a good 50 yards too! I also know there has been a few other threads talking about wanting harder content, and how 'most' people who play seem to just want AI that stands in a pack, and lets us hit it. Which..is true to a degree. But of the other hand, CoX has never been about super AI and AV fights with run/cover/dogge/special move/whatever else mechanics (aside from some of the incarnate stuff), and adding anything like that would annoy as many people as it pleased. But AVs running is annoying, especially with no immobs or taunts, and logically quite silly. WHy would something with 20 times your hp run? Even just having the AI run a bit near death would make more sense. -
ooh dam! I Totally missed your reply Number 6! That screen shot..you have a lot of auras going!

Piercing Rounds should apply -res regardless of the Ammo type. The aoe part works no matter what ammo is loaded..why doesn't that?

Give AVs and GMs a break bar like in Guild Wars 2
Razor Cure replied to DougGraves's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I like this idea as well. It would let low damage trollers feel they are doing more than just using their secondary vs big baddies. Also..it could tie in with some of the threads and ideas for 'harder' content. AVs and GMs could have additional toggles/power available in the before break period. As it stands, hardly most AVs dont really have..powersets, just the general AV resists, maybe one Temp Invul kinda toggle, and perhaps a T9. With something like this, they could get damage auras, mez auras, etc etc. -
Sig Arc repeatation: What counts as a repeat?
Razor Cure replied to Razor Cure's topic in General Discussion
Yeah I am assuming a bug. AS I said, 99.9% sure I hadn't done the arc. And even if I had..it would have been way over a week. -
If there is a way to do this...sorry! If not..a way to have recipe and salvage drops show up in a chat tab, but NOT all the xp/inf scroll. I like my main tab to just show IMs, BC chat, and rewards. The trouble is, the rewards show the xp/inf, which fulls up the screen fast when rolling along. and its easy to get a RECIPE FOUND popup on your screen, but the text is instanly lost in 50 lines of reward scrolling. If you don't actually know all the recipes you have in your inv (easy to do, with alts), it can be a pain to work out exactly what recipe dropped1

Every week (ish) I do the first SI Arc on alt my toons, for a quick 20 merits. Just about all of these toons have and do none of the others, apart from the 2nd, when I am around lvl 20ish. Today was the replay day, on one scrapper, so I logged him on, did the 1st arc (in SSA1) and got my 20 merits. Then a friend asked me to run the first arc, in SSA2 with her. SO i did. That toon has NEVER done the ssa2, pt 1 before (99% sure, and even if I had..it was over 7 days since he was logged in). SO we did the arc and..I get the 'you cannot do this more than once every 7 days' red text. How does that work? Every other sig arc part, you can do once a week. I know from doing all 7 part of SSA1 on a few toons. Every part gave the full reward. And yet doing 1.1 then 2.1 somehow lock you out of a reward? Has it always been like that and I just have not actually done it before?

And pre 38, in particular pre 20, ALL it is is button mashing, mixed with waiting for powers to recharge, and not using powers so you don't run out of end. I like small teams, I like large ones, but playing exclusively with powers not fully slotted? I'll be right.

Splitting the Fighting Pool into Off and Def Pools.
Razor Cure replied to Cooltastic's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Honestly curious Crysta. HOW can we get any possible additions to the game..that aren't power creep in some way? New mechanics, new combos, new IOs, new pools..It will all be better than what came before in some way? Like power sets with Absorb mechanics. None of the old stuff have that. Are these new sets 100% balanced, even with the new stuff? Are they somehow muted, in some ways, to counterbalance the creep? If the response to any proposed change is just ' cant have power creep,' (and really, it goes both ways, a nerf, or balance adjustment downwards, would still be power creep, just in reverse) why even bother? -
Splitting the Fighting Pool into Off and Def Pools.
Razor Cure replied to Cooltastic's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Ahh. Like Fly and TP combined in Sorcery? Also, it totally isnt nothing, since I would be using the same number of power picks and slots on Tough/Weave as I was anyway. Only Id have an extra pick to get something I'd use, instead of something I NEVER have on my power trays. I am asking not too have to take a shit power to get some good ones. If it was less shit, I'd be happy with that. Oh yes, wanna regress yourself back to Power Poll Fitness then? That would give you even more meaningful choices. And yet..it KEEPS happening. Let's agree to disagree. -

IOs, new power sets (bio, rad, titan, time) and Incarnates all say a big, fat Hi. Should we ditch all of the above, cause they were so much more awesome that what came before? How about the power creep in things like an aoe placate and -res, fly and tp combined, mez prot for anyone? Letting people NOT take a melee attack than wont be used in like 90% of cases (usually giving those builds ONE extra power, with no extra slots for said power) is gonna break then game? Most would be taking more leadership/stealth powers, as gamblers Mules, extra travel powers, or other powers for 'fun" (taking powers for fun, what a concept. then might did it the sorcery pool, or Will, cause it fits their concept more than a useless kick) or prim/sec powers than dont require slots (self rezzers, team rez, buffs). That one extra power. Game goes boom! -
Splitting the Fighting Pool into Off and Def Pools.
Razor Cure replied to Cooltastic's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I quite like most of these ideas, even if just from a theme standpoint. I think the main issue with the fighting pool (like you present it above) is that i STILL would never ever take it. On non melee toons, why would I would boring, weak (ish) melee attacks? I'd want something ranged (fire blast epic) or strong (total focus epic)..which we already have access to. On my melees..i still wouldnt want any attack they werent actual in my primary, for theme, aesthetic and the 'principle' of the thing. Also, just about every melee set can get a decent attack chain going from within itself. I do like the guarded pool though. Maybse if the insulted/resistant ones were exclusive toggles, so you had the open of gaining a bit more def/res vs whatever you were fighting. Fighting cot? fire/cold res. Fighting freaks? Energy res. -
It is already very viable. Takes about 25 secs and can be done as many times as you want. Some of these ideas sound cool..but 'forcing' pvp on people? People who HATE people? They wouldn't bother and would just use the in place side switching.

Again, try to understand. I did NOT read that final bit of the OP title. That totally is not the same as being ignorant of it. Clearly you have never ever misread anything in your life, or somehow interpreted it as what you think it is saying (which is exactly what I did..i jumped to thinking he was asking about click/toggle changes, not more auto cast). If only we were all that perfect. Also, me misreading is 100% not on you. But you could have just laughed or nodded at my explanation, and got on with it. Sounding like a jackass though..

I'd prefer ditching damn Box and Kick. It is all well and good to talk about the prereqs..but some pools have WAY harshed ones than others. I mean..you can get a Travel now with zero 'junk' power needed. Leadership pool is a bit more limited, but since Manuv is a great LoTG mule, in a single slot, that is nothing like having to take a crappy melee attack that most people will NEVER use, even more so if the aren't a melee toon. Maybe just rename the pool itself, as Fighting is quite silly, if you arent actually using said attacks, and just want more Survivability.

New Difficulty Mechanic: Advanced Enemies
Razor Cure replied to MetaVileTerror's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Along similar lines..just Incarnate up some enemies. Maybe a few per mob or whatever. It HAS already been doing in DA and the 2nd Sig Arcs (with tsoo and trolls being good examples). These both look awesome (love those tsoo) and are significantly tougher to fight than the 'normal' mob types. It would also make sense Lore wise, with pandora's box. Incarnate class family (already kinda been done with teh beam rifle ones, much tougher), cot, carnies, councils, MALTA (also make sense, given they hooked up with battle maiden). -
Can we get merge Bosses for the other factions?
Razor Cure replied to Oubliette_Red's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
What about X about of Zeus Titans kills (same way as gremlins/scrapyarders) spawns the Kronus GM? Its silly to have it only in Crimsons arc (and RSF), cause who wants an arc of all malta? -
A Notes field on the character selection screen
Razor Cure replied to Hedgefund's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
God, YES. I already had another thread just about this. Make it so.
