Give Null the Gull option for minimal FX for Ice Shields
Razor Cure replied to Solarverse's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I'd also like an option to force the defaults for ALL color customization in game. There are some, like super bright sonic auras (the dispersion) that are really painful to look at. -
This is actually a really good point. I have seen it a lot, using a stun at range, on a target already running towards you...and their run speed wont change. Obviously they are still stunned, which helps, but they will often be right next to you when the stun ends. I like the idea of all stuns applying like a 0.5 sec immob, just to get them stopped. Not sure how that would work with Oppressive Gloom though.

Ooh that makes sense. For some reason, I didnt even consider the Credit Card and other details..I guess I just assumed they wouldn't be released! Although, as people are saying..how else do you prove an account is yours?! Having said that though..I took pics of all mine before shutdown, and could basically rattle off their exact build and slotting from memory. Which of course would not be fair to those who forgot stuff. As much as I miss my old toons, I am enjoying making new ones now.

lol, this is great. No travels, maybe a new version of Walk, but able to sue other powers. What fun! Gotta wonder how long the OP spent before table flipping his computer in rv, and rushing here.

I am honestly curious about that statement. If NC somehow 'owns' that data (which I assume is basically just a huge ass text document, with code ala Mids saying what items people have etc etc)...how is that information more of a legal SNAFU than what we have now..which is basically still using NCs game and code, but just with a new beginning? A simple explanation would be appreciated 🙂

Ranged powerset suggestion: Vorpal/Teleportation Blast
Razor Cure replied to Anubys's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
I like the idea..hate the name. Sorry. But its the same with Vorpal Judgement. It makes zero sense. Vorpal, as is vorpal sword..thats gonna be lethal and stabby, not tping and smashy. Some kind of Warp (warpal?) name would suit it much much better. -
Nitpick..but again, Foc Acc IS now accuracy. Also, Corrs can get it to I think. Also, if any toon can build for ToHit with Tact/Kismet..why does keeping this double stacked Rage matter so much. Also, sets like Ice and SR, ignoring slow and -def, is hardly the same thing. Since only some attacks do slow/-def..but EVERY single attack we use, has a to hit check.
-
YES. And to the people who said no..seriously? Really? Nothing else can get close. FocAcc is now acc, and no tohit (i also think the end cost should have been lowered with that change). The to hit, for me, is a huge part of Rage's draw..the +damage, on a brute at least (only AT i have used it on) is nice, but with Fury, I feel its less of a be all and end all kinda thing. I Think during all my time playing that toon, I double stacked Rage maybe..twice? I didn't even build to stack it. Rage, to me, as a word...via google ' violent uncontrollable anger. ' Which somehow translates into a HUGE accuracy boost? Yeah, ok. Perhaps 40% to hit is somehow balanced with the 'low' damage of teh other powers? I saw 'lol' because I never felt they were super weak. Sure, maybe the T2 attack aint great..but what set does have a great T2? Footstomp also was (maybe until TW) the best AoE around, great damage and awesome mitigation, and SO fast.
-
Ha! The inherent tp is a good idea. The set needs something. Maybe your connection to teh earth blah blah lets you meld with it and zoom forward (anyone who has seen Hydroid's wave attack in Warframe could see this would be awesome). Also ditch that good awful penalty on Granite (the dam/rech)..if anything hitting people with a huge stone fist should do more damage. Perhaps tone down the values on granite (for one power, it does a lot, balanced by teh shitty penalties..see above)...make it less awesome but useable with the other armours. Why cant you have a big lump of granite with some pretty crystals growing over it for psi def?
-
Is it so hard NOT to Fire rage that second time? Really? Rage is awesome, and the way I read teh proposed changes, it will only crash if stacked. So don't stack it, and enjoy? That powers, and SoW are not affected by ANY recharge. It is hardly just an exclusive with hasten.
-
Looking at the TP pool, it does kinda cover everything to do with TRAVEL, using teleporting. As Dragon just said..you cant really fit more into it, so maybe another, new Power Pool? The existing TP pool could be renamed something like Translocation (since that's what it is) and a new pool come in, bringing in shared elements like the Sorc and FoW pools. The new pool could be somethnig like..Matter Transfer, and be about much shorter range teleports, instead of travel. Tier1: Blink Assault. Teleport into combat, performing a moderate damage melee attack. Target can be stunned, with a -to hit aura around then, as it startles foes. Tier2: Slipstream. Teleport out of combat (must be IN combat to use). Cause a -tohit/confuse pbaoe around you, tping a short distance away. Tier3: Switch. Tp foe, but you swap places with the target, gaining a minor +def effect. Tier4: Shadowdancer. Teleport into combat, with a pbaoe, knockdown attack Tier5: Quantum Tunnel. Team short range tp. Long recharge. If using INTO combat, no extra effect. If used out of combat, provides a +regen/def effect. That would let people have the old TP stuff, and newer, more useful (at least I think so) powers..and let you be like Nightcrawler!

Defender Inherent - Both against theme and often useless.
Razor Cure replied to Shin Magmus's topic in Suggestions & Feedback
Not sure that is a good reason for the Fender inherent to be crap, or 'less useful' at least. Other ATs could work fine with no inherent also..but that doesn't mean suddenly losing the power wouldn't hurt. Same as fenders actually getting something better would be nice. -
Ion Judgement, anyone? There is a reason this seems to be teh most common. Having an elec dom myself, I always though that the very FIRST target in chaining attacks should have a boosted acc, to make up for the fact the power has an AoE recharge..and might end up hitting no one at all (quite common with the chaining confuse).
-
I was just looking at this in Mids. Apparently you can NOT have rooted/granite active with combat jumping. No idea if that is just in Mids or in game too. Also, totally weird, but when I turn rooted and granite on in the Totals tab, my JumpSpd goes UP! Up! The jump height though, goes down as expected.

If Master Brawler is in fact giving resistance to mez effects (as in actual res, and not just a misleading power description), it is way way less desirable than PB. PB gives mez protection. Mez resistance just means those effects wear off faster, but will still actually mez you. Looking at Mids, there is no info on MB..so either 58% of people somehow think mez res is better than protection, or the info is just off. There really isn't. Frozen Armour and ScorpShield are def based..that just happen to have a very minor +res to one element. The major benefit of that is as slot mules for the 2 +def IOs. The resists aren't worth slotting otherwise.

Ooh yes. Like States come back but as an EVIL States. Maybe Tyrant somehow uses his last powers and his connection to Tartarus (or whatever it was to transfer his mind into States' body. The States breaks the hell out of his city hall memorial, wrecks Atlas (cause, fun. And Atlas could appear as teh ruined atlas maps). But then, the Phalanx, LR and goons, fresh from their cooperation in the Sig Arcs and DA story line, all rock up to try stop him.
-
I dont know..all the deaths in the Sig Arcs are pretty stupid. States dies just because he develops sudden idiot syndrome and cant work out the normal, weak human guy would NOT have a plan.. Sis dies because manti is a tool, and cant just kock her out (stunning arrow, anyone?) Malaise just randomly turns into an evil dick. Granted, he was always very dark, but I thought that made him a more interesting hero (kinda like how Scirocco is a villain, but conflicted). He basically had zero motivation for the entire thing, nothing was built up. One min he is a dark hero, happy to help. The next, bam. Evil.

Got this also. However I have ALWAYS gotten it when doing that mission, at the time I got it. That is, if I get teh mission at lvl 19, do it right then. Today I tried it on a toon that got the solo mission and out lvl'd it. ANd no super serum!
-
The old RSF was truly epic. I remember doing it way way back, before IOs (I forget what issue it was). I had my very first 50, a fire/invul brute, and heard people talking about how HARD it was, how almost no teams could actually succed. One guy said that the Devs had a contest, for the first team to finish, becuase even they couldn't win! No idea how true that is, but back then..it seemed pretty likely. So I got a team together with a few friends to try it. This was after I did a LOT of research, with the general info being..'take a stone brute and 7 corrs' OR 'nukes and shivens and there is still a huge chance of failing.' We loaded up on both, made it to the final mission after about two tough hours. We tried rushing. Death. We tried pulling. Got one, then the rest would come, every single time (compare that to lolSTF when the most you fight at once is 4 AVs, and you can easily pull them if you need to). In a nutshell, we failed, which hurt, but I totally felt like we did our best! Now of course, with IOs and incarnate stuff and side switching (for example, one tank and an emp fender could do the job of that stone/7corr villian team), both are way, way easier. However..for non incarnate teams, the extra difficulty in old RSF compared to STF seems a bit unfair to me. Add it to Oro and let the hardcore people run it if they want to.
-
Yeah they do..but StoneArmour has about the worst Ex'd performance..especially if you HAVE granite, then respec'd out of all the shitty powers in teh set, that granite makes worthless. As for playing a blaster with IOs (and the mez gap, which STILL exists for blasters at 50+, unless they get clarion.)..you mean like..well..basically every single blaster that got to level 30 (cause they wont have that many IOs at that point). Yay, you only need to be on a league with 47 kins to jump! Actually, Granite on a tank (actually Rooter, granite doesnt show a -jhump) is -50,000% jump..IR on a kin fender is +2780% jump. So about 18 kins. All with IR. Good luck. lol.

Yeah..no. Doing that wont even be a sure fire crit on AS. Great solution. How is Slow AS boring? Thats like saying any other slow, long animation attack is boring. There is literally no better way to open a fight than AS from hide. Then cant hit you till it lands..and it does about the best damage in the game.
-
I was wondering about that. I didn't think it was that much but when I checked the power..CU goes from 168 damage at 0 to 217 at 3. That is a bit.
-
Basically..the set is a load of shit, besides one OP power that also comes with huge drawbacks.
-
OMG the CLANKET! That is so awesome! Also, totally not saying we need 'real' ads..just funny and stupid ones! I was thinking more about my Freak-run massage parlor. The ad could be like a superman type, in tights, face down on a massage table, with the massuer (or however that silly word goes!) leaning over him, all freakified, with teh punk hair and a clamour style bionic arm! For those REAL hard to get out knots in your back!

I had a Stj scrappa on Live, and figured I'd give it a go on a stalker, because their ATOs are stupidly awesome. The Stalker is 33 atm..and I have noticed.. The stalker version has Build Up, instead of COmbat Readiness. This seems to be a pure buff, and damage wise, it is. However...it does NOT grant the auto 'combo level 3' status at the scrapper version does. Why is this annoying? You dive it a fresh mob, hit BU/CR and the whack it with Crushing Uppercut, getting that sweet lvl 3 boost. On a scrapper that is. On the stalker..you sneak in, BU, then AS the big nasty (AS gives +2 combo lvls). And then crushing uppercut. But it is NOT at combo3. Can you use another attack in between to get to lvl 3? Sure can. But.. EVERY other stalker has the ability with the ATO in AS to do the following..BU..AS..Best Attack, with said attack getting an almost 100% crit from the chance to hide IO. But STJ cant do that. Granted, I could put the ATO in another power (which I will have to experiment with), but it just works SO good in AS. I am thinking that placing it in another attack might make the proc rate crappy, at least compared to AS, when it fire basically every time. The other problem. Both sets have 4 combo building powers...but the stalker has one of those becoming AS. Leaving 3, one of those being the pissy tier attack. that would basically never get used with a decent attack chain. Suggestions: Make AS a combo lvl 3 builder all by itself (perhaps the lvl 3 ONLY works when used from hide?) to make up for the lack of +3 in build up. Let Sweeping Cross be used as a finisher OR builder. If used at lvl 3, it fires as a Finisher. If less than 3 stacks are present, it fires as a builder. Add the combo level 3 buff to Build Up itself.
