  1. Drat. Guess I'll have to hold on till the gloating phase.
  2. I can't wait to hear the tragic villain backstory that resolved you to making everybody want to see ducks. I feel like this is gonna be a good one.
  3. I guess I see. It just blows my mind that I can't unsee Gaussian's as a duck eating a hat.
  4. Gaussian's is the duck-eating hat. The hat is the cover at the top and the bill is the lever. It's looking up. Accelerator is a good shout, though.
  5. I thought it may have something to do with non-euclidean geometry and was just weird for the sake of weird. But I can absolutely see a duck eating a hat now. He's proper going for it, too.
  6. Those afterimages are sorta up and down, which I guess isn't what cars do.
  7. Good lord. I even own a whole load of those myself and I wasn't seeing it. It looked like some weird horned dragon thing to me. Though the left hand side of the box looks a little... swirly? I thought sudden acceleration was part of a car, but looking at it now I'm not so sure.
  8. What even is this icon meant to be? The top bit looks a bit like Ferb, and I think there's like a drinking straw on the right there, but that's the best I got.
  9. I mean, when you say "community", it's hard not to feel like you're pointing your finger at an amorphous group that includes me. Or anyone else reading. People are gonna get prickly that way, when they feel misrepresented.
  10. "Entire forum" is a bit much. I feel like most people live-and-let-live.
  11. Can I have another one? Streamlining enhancements! At the moment, enhancement drops are inferior to the ones that can be crafted. There's a big rift between the two that I'd try and meet. Obsolesence bothers me. All TOs, DOs and SOs would no longer expire, behaving exactly like crafted IOs. If you get one from a drop, it could be useful to you until 50. To keep things simple, you can craft SOs (but not DOs or TOs - they'd be interface clutter). Generic IOs will be gone, but just for the sake of having fewer types of enhancements. This means you'll be able to access SOs from a lower level. The SOs available to craft correspond with your origin. I'd do away with generic/SO recipes, since enemies are dropping the actual enhancements anyway, and just double the cost of crafting them at the workbench. Cut out the middleman. Once you have the corresponding badge, the price is halved. The upshot is, crafted enhancements and drops are exactly the same thing. Set IOs will still drop as recipes, but I'd do one of two things: Either Separate attuned IOs from the levelled IOs pool in the AH. You can basically circumvent using catalysts as it stands, which I find kinda weird from a game design point of view. It makes a small bunch of things redundant and that cannot be tolerated in my empire! Or Crafted set IOs are only attuned, levelled ones are gone. Keeps it simple.
  12. Hiss! *scurries into darkness* obviously, yes to more options
  13. /jranger yours sincerely, the cave dwellers
  14. No it isn't!
  15. Good lord, these are extraordinary.
  16. +1 to this request. I wanna attack with dubstep.
  17. Mods, please lock this thread. It has been tainted.
  18. Freedom Reborn?
  19. There's something in that though. I'm not a competitive person at all, but there are games with PvP or that are built around PvP that I really enjoy - and not because they appeal to my competitive nature. I played a lot of Sea of Thieves recently and had a lot of fun, I think because you could get a lot of mileage and success out of just mucking about. If I could PvP successfully with the same low-stakes, laissez-faire approach I have to the rest of the game, I'd be all over it. But as it stands, I'd be a perpetual liability to any team and I wouldn't care enough to improve. 😛 I did some arena matches with some friends a long while ago. We were all on PvE builds and equally inexperienced. That was fun, but it's really slow, even when we started predetermining winners to try and get the badges distributed.
  20. Hah, I predicted that you specifically would disagree with that specific paragraph. But I do bow to your greater knowledge of PvP. I know very little about how PvP works in the game. I can't imagine we'd be able to get from where we are now to where I'd prefer it to get to without stepping on the toes of the existing PvP community way too much, let alone how much of a technical balancing act it would be, so it's not a change I'd expect by any stretch. But the need for an optimised build is what takes my interest away.
  21. I mean I already ignore like 99% of the enemies on the street as it is. I'd just forgive it, for the benefit of a more condensed and lively game world. It's a CoH2 sorta idea, though.
  22. Like, months.
  23. BWAHAHAHA, YOU HAVE FALLEN FOR MY FAKE MANHOLE TRAP!
  24. I'd want to make the outdoor city zones to feel as interesting and rewarding as missions. Make the zones really respond to how players interact with them, having all sorts of random events happening all the time, encouraging big teams to street sweep and explore the world in interesting ways. I'd want to do away with how enemy groups spawn neutrally all over the place in weird little groups and have them a lot more responsive to how players are inhabiting the zone. Make it always worth the player's time to stop and prevent whatever crime/do-gooding is happening and for doing to to feel like it has an impact on the state of the zone. [edit: I just read this back to myself and I don't know what that last sentence was meant to say. I had just woken up.]
