  1. Please read my "Why I Am Thankful." I believe my post is not clutter because I discuss June as Men's Mental Health Month and the value of CoH in my life.
  2. Breaking the Rhyme Scheme Hey everyone! It’s Men's Mental Health Month, and I just wanted to take a moment to share how much I appreciate having this game as a little escape from everything going on in the world. It’s not just about running around, completing missions, and fighting enemies—there’s so much more to do! From sprucing up your base and customizing your costumes to trying out new builds, there’s always something fun to keep you engaged. Some days, I love to just chill in my base, catching up on chat while I do a few things on my second computer. And yes, I do get outside and enjoy some time in nature—I make sure to touch some grass now and then! I’m also at that stage in life where my parents are growing older and, sadly, departing this plane of existence. Home doesn’t feel like home anymore, but I find comfort in the gaming community and the connections we share.
  3. Exactly
  4. ....damn ....
  5. I play on a Lenovo Legion connected to a 27-inch monitor. I use the ingame keymapping and need the numpad. This laptop has one, so it is nice when I travel, but still want to play.
  6. Gonna need a pic of your setup, please
  7. The point is, he bases his article on one power change that he dislikes, using it as a point to criticize the devs. Sure. He easily could have mentioned things that are included in this patch, but chose to focus on one thing. Two new powersets for one. One powerset I think has been asked for. You are also overthinking what a comprehesive breakdown is. "Kallisti Wharf has been revamped into a fully-fledged level 40–50 co-op zone. Two new powersets have been introduced. The sleep mechanic has been overhauled. Adjustments have been made to archetypes and powersets. New story arcs and missions have been added. AND bugs fixed." Doing something with Kallista has been asked for. He does mention it, but there is a lot with this addition. The Psionic armor, I think, has been suggested at some point. Not understanding what "critical analysis" is was used earlier in the thread. You may have missed it. And my post was based on that, having a more humorous perspective than you are choosing to take. ... yes, people criticize cats for not being dogs. ... they do reference games as evidence to support their perspective of the state of the game.
  8. No demands. My expectations are valid, and I am free to criticize an opinion that omits a significant amount of information. He talks little at all about what is in the update. It doesn't have to be detailed. From this article, do we know that we are getting two new power sets. Nope What else are we getting? No idea. He mentions nothing. What other changes? Again nothing.
  9. Sure. It is also labeled as a preview, but it previews nothing in the game.
  10. Putting my teacher grading glasses to examine his "critical analysis" He critiques the patch by arguing that it promotes a trend favoring fast-paced, damage-centric (“DPS rush”) gameplay. He is concerned that archetypes focused on crowd control and support—especially Controllers—are being devalued due to reductions in target caps and increases in cooldowns. As a result, these archetypes are becoming less viable outside of specific high-end content, such as Hamidon raids. (okay, yes-maybe) He does not provide a comprehensive breakdown of the patch notes. Instead, he chose to critique the philosophical and design trajectory of the game. For an opinion piece sure, but for an outright crtical analysis ...falls short. Very short. Based on his article alone ... WHAT is in the next patch update? No idea. I don't see everything that is in here. I have read through the update. There are changes and updates that interest me. One of my mains is an Ice/Ice/Ice tanker ... truly want to test the changes to that set. In a good way. Adaptive Recharge on several powers ... ok! Yes, somethings makes me scratch my head ... but I will see how it plays. His opinion article focused on one power as an example to critique the state of the game and the volunteers maintaining it. Speed. I did a 4star All Widow ITF last night. THAT was not slow. Had a blast! Again, it IS an opinion piece, so I am free to share my opinion of his opinion. He fell short.
  11. I guess you are
  12. I see you *currently on my stalker But you don't see me
  13. I truly appreciate your post. I highlighted what hit home.
  14. It is an interesting read. But did focus on some niche elements. The changes to Seeds has been a long time coming. Complaining about this one power change in particular does seem unwarranted. The author is Eliot Lefebvre and not Bree. (She is very vocal in the comments.) I will agree and yet disagree with what Eliot wrote. There is ALOT of speed requests in the game. However, we have more of a Three-Body Problem 🙂 Speed - yup as stated. This ties into Badges because these requests are often for the WST, and I want the badge for helping. Km(kill most) - I see just as many of those types of requests. Badges - especially Master of badge runs with. Bonus - All XX archtype runs Having just done my first four-star ITF in a long time last weekend, it was not slow—hardly a speed. Ran with another group that tried to clear everything on a Sutter TF ... everything. Not fast. We gave up for time's sake as some needed to leave. Speed exists for sure, but it hits more than just the Controllers. A /Traps gets hit hard on a speed run, but you find a way to manage. Any AT that has stationary elements is challenged in a speed run. But again, you find a way to manage. The comment section is where they lay waste to Homecoming and our community. Reads as everyone hating the state of our game and then patting themselves on the back for saying so. Direct and harsh criticism. They like how things were on live ... so go play Rebirth. I was tempted to post, but it seemed like a toxic and unfriendly place for that. If you don't like things here, there are other places to go. Other servers offer some interesting features. OR get the code and run the game the way you want OR volunteer
  15. A Natural Black Hole? Does that mean I suck?
  16. Do it! Just make sure it is the instanced version
  17. We did the instanced version. As far as I know, the GMs were aware of it. No crash.
  18. I participated in an all MM MSR ... Never too many MMs
  19. Thank you for the reminder... Almost forgot mine while taking out the trash.
  20. Hasten used to take Defense Enhancements. Forget which update early on changed that. I used to keep a screenshot of DEFEnh slotted .... that computer died, and I lost it
