  1. I've been exploring stuns a lot lately, and I'm trying to find a place for this proc in something other than a pure chaos build. Right now, I'm thinking it should go in an AoE power with a chance to stun. I'm thinking maybe Whirling Mace slotted with Stupefy proc, Overwhelming Force Proc (which hopefully changes it to knockdown and adds damage), two lvl 53 Nucleosis, the Absolute Amazement proc and a +5 Absolute Amazement Stun/Endurance. I'll try this out if I think about it later.
  2. That is very nice of you!
  3. Nuke it from orbit. It's the only way to be sure.
  4. If you don't have a soul, you can't owe it to anyone or anything.
  5. This is kind of niche, but out of the melee classes, only brutes and stalkers get Superior Conditioning and Physical Perfection from the Body epic pool, meaning that they can achieve a lot more endurance recovery than scrappers or tanks doing the same. With really endurance-intensive matchings, that helps a lot. Well, at least until you unlock incarnates.
  6. Quick! Submit your entry in my contest! Last day!
  7. Fair point. I (mis-)use the term proc to refer to that last IO in the set that isn't solely adding to attributes. I call it a Miracle proc; a LotG proc; a delightful Overwhelming Force proc.
  8. As James Carville would say, "It's the economy, stupid!" But the issue I see is that the haves v. the have-nots now are those with the knowledge and/or inclination to min-max v. others. Yet development continues (mainly, the new difficulty ratings are a welcome exception) on new, more powerful options rather on ways to educate. As I would say, "It's power creep, stupid!" [HOPEFULLY UNNECESSARY DISCLAIMER: I'm not calling anyone stupid. Except possibly *scans crowd slowly, points finger emphatically* YOU!]
  9. I'd say hands down that is the worst proc available. My two biggest marketing failures (and I apologize for repeating myself, since I've mentioned these before): Entropic Chaos. Early on I was enamored by how useful this set was. I decided I was going to corner the market, because this was going to be the be-all end-all. It wasn't that simple to replicate, so I wasn't worried about massive supply entering the market. I neglected to consider two factors: 1. There are very few people who deck themselves out in full sets at lvl 17, and it feels like most people rush to 50 rather than play organically; and 2. Decimation is a superior set that is slottable five levels later. Sad trombone. I did not succeed in making Entropic Chaos a thing, although I'll still slot in on slow levelers. Performance Shifter. When they talked about the new End Mod sets, I was giddy. Every alt needs a Performance Shifter proc! And they are going to be more difficult than ever to create! This is inf in the bank! So I bought thousands of IOs, converted my face off, and waited with anticipation for the release. I managed to get prices about 1mm higher for a week or four, and then supply kept coming in and prices dropped. So I cleaned up that supply and more supply kept coming in and prices dropped. So I walked away for a while and came back and cleaned up the supply and more supply kept coming in and prices dropped. I still am involved in a minor way, but the margin is way too low for me to spend my time there. And to this day I'm not sure if I'm just missing something integral about creating Perf Shifters or if there are simply one or more people who are creating lots of supply for very very thin margins. Shrug.
  10. I saw your post, and I went back in time to write a guide that might help you!
  11. I could be wrong, but I'd think it would be more time efficient to move to a new alt at either 24 or 48.
  12. Out of curiosity I started checking the kiosk with some of my alts. Maybe I should stop selling enhancements already. I doubt either of these are HC records, but I suspect I have more than a few alts in this range.
  13. It doesn't matter how many bids you have. As long as you have even one in, you won't sell until either your bids get filled or someone else bids higher. When you offer something, the system asks: is the highest bid equal to or higher than this offer? If so, great! But then it checks: is that highest bid by the same person (no self dealing allowed)? If so, you won't transact until someone else enters the system at a higher price. I call this the locked/inverted market bug. It can be exploited. I've been logging bugs with HC since the beginning but they are all "working as intended".
  14. That's the only explanation I could come up with. You can't sell it if you have a bid at the same or a higher price.
  15. I must say, this is a far more heartwarming post than one that says their ignore list is full!
  16. I almost always play my 50s to 50, as opposed to rushing them there. I'll use Mids to get an idea for my final build, but I'll often make diversions on the way there. When I hit 50, I generally: 1. Respec, to clean up the diversions. 2. Swap in any purples I have for my build. 3. Use catalysts on any ATOs or Winter-Os I have in my build. 4. Go to Mender Ramiel in Ouro to start the quest to open up my alpha slot.
  17. It's there. There is a door to the roof in the last room, where you go to the end of the main room, go left and double back on the side corridor.
  18. Yes, I do. Not DOOM levels, but when I periodically check flows of IOS that I consider “staples”, I feel like we have about 1/3 of the demand we had about 18 months ago.
  19. I’m unconcerned with the number of items for sale (unless that number is zero). I am concerned about the flow of demand and supply over a given time period. It’s been clear to me for a long time that the dynamics of HC are of gradually waning demand and consistent supply. I mean, does it really matter how many Peroxisomes there are in the AH if you can’t find a use for them in a build?
  20. Two weeks left! I hate to promote my own contest, but, actually that’s a lie I don’t hate it at all.
  21. Ooh, I missed that. How about a Triumphant Insult proc in there too?
  22. I like it! Cloak of Fear and Oppressive Gloom shouldn’t stack on bosses though, since they are different types of mitigation (fear and stun respectively).
  23. You know, when this thread was first posted, I watched it with some trepidation. I am an Order Muppet of the first degree, and I was a little concerned that an intentional destabilization of the /AH would lead to fewer people using it and thus becoming less useful. I haven’t been on Rebirth in some time, but their AH is dead because no one uses it. But, I’m pretty confident that there isn’t a destabilizing scheme that I’m not prepared for. At the end of the day, the HC system is pretty stable.
  24. Truth. I wish they all could be Praetorian ghouls.
