I'd like to emphasize this. If it is in a power where you have control over when it goes off (at or near max chances) then it essentially serves as a Build Up without the accuracy. In DNA Siphon, for example, it's up every 30-40 seconds for me.

I kind of really love this. People have been asking/begging for ages to be able to convert incarnate threads because they wanted something for what they couldn't use any more since they were all T4ed up. Now every seven threads can get you a random common salvage. Well played devs, well played!

When I get a character to 50, most of the time I will get them their alpha slot, just to check it out. I have only one alt who is fully T4ed. For me, it’s only worth it if the incarnates make playing more enjoyable. I’m not going to suffer with endurance issues from 1-50 to fix my endurance issues with incarnates because that’s just misery for 50 levels. So maybe I’ll figure out another path and respec later. I’ve been mostly unimpressed with incarnates because for the most part they just gild the lily. If my character is Andre the Giant fighting a class of kindergartners, incarnate powers are the equivalent of giving Andre a baseball bat to hurry things up. Please note that I’m almost exclusively soloing (if I have 30 uninterrupted minutes to play, I don’t want to spend 20 of them making a team). Just sharing my thoughts. Yours may vary!

What makes a power a "proc monster"?

I have a number of guidelines when it comes to procs. First of all, it helps to understand roughly how often you can expect the effect to trigger. There are calculators (I use one I got from @macskulls sig, @Bopper has a lot of useful stuff, those are the ones I remember offhand). It’s not very important knowing exactly what your percentage is, but I like to have a rough idea. Your odds cap at 90%, I believe. If you have 4 damage procs in a power, and each one has a 50% chance to activate, there is a 1 / 16 chance all four trigger, and a 15 / 16 chance at least one activates. Next, I think of a proc bomb as as power I can put multiple procs in that have a capped chance to activate. My favorite is DNA Siphon from Bio Armor. I think its base recharge is 90 seconds. I don’t have a calculator with me, but even with tons of built in recharge (and lots of global recharge), I can get a bomb with up to 6 procs that each have a maxxed out activation chance that is available every 30-40 seconds. Finally, there are some procs that I find so useful that I work them in almost anywhere I can, particularly in an aoe. Theft of Essence + end comes to mind. Any of the -res procs. I generally don’t, for example, put a damage proc in a single target attack unless it has a good chance to activate *or* unless it is a power that normally doesn’t do much/any damage. I’d much rather boost the inherent damage or recharge. -

Honestly, I slot a Theft proc in any power that takes it. Even single target stuff adds up over time. -

I’ve got to tell you, since I’ve been active on HC, not one single person has begged me (specifically) for more inf than I was willing to give them. It’s both surprising and heartwarming.

One thing that concerns me a bit is that the increase in options is going to make building a pickup team more difficult. Now, I solo 95+% of the time, but when I do team (and I generally form the team), there is generally a discussion about what level to play at and playing speeds. The example I keep in mind is each time I try to recruit for a 4-person Yin is that it literally takes me an hour to recruit three other people who want to play that (at *any* difficulty level). Yes, I can recruit until 4 then start, or I can start then kick 4, but that’s being a jerk in my opinion. And that’s an hour I don’t have, and we don’t have a large population to recruit for teams. Anyway, more options are good, but I expect that it’s going to be a lot harder to find PUGs for anything other than what people think will provide the greatest reward for the least amount of effort. I’m not complaining; I’m just predicting.

If it takes a dev 20k keystrokes to save 1k users 20 keystrokes each, nah, still probably not worth it in the grand scheme of things. Also, I’m pretty sure I’ll be dead and gone before Homecoming makes reprogramming the /AH a priority. -

I have Unstoppable on my namesake, a BS/inv scrapper. Do I need the resistance? Of course not. I’m already capped to several types and I have heals otherwise. No, I use it when I’m swinging my rebar at an AV for fifteen minutes and I haven’t built enough recovery into my build and I don’t want or can’t to use blue pills for endurance recovery. I actually *like* using it because it makes me think about the trade off of when it’s going to crash. And when it starts to flash I run. Beats the hell out of putting Headsplitter on auto and streaming Mean Girls. -

With four new rare categories, starting with a random rare you will have roughly a 1 in 9 chance of getting one of the new sets on a convert by rarity. They will be cheap as hell not because they are useless and there is no demand, but because the supply will be far far greater. -
