K, thx. At least it can be adjusted with the slider. A bigger scaling would be nice, though, in this era of megascreens.

An NPC in Pocket D announced to us all that she dances "for the endolphins." Not sure if this is a typo or really bad humor.

So I went to scale up my cursor using good old /setoption cursorscale. The UI accepts in and writes it into the options file. Changing the value in the options file is persistent. But neither one actually changes the cursor size. Only the menu slider does... and it writes that value to the options file! I am guessing that some change disconnected the CursorScale value from the slider and the actual cursor size. Not sure it's worth a fix, but not having this discontinuity would be nice.

Yeah, it's the damndest thing... the first hour you spend wandering around Atlas, it's all foggy and indistinct. Must be a rendering glitch.

Completely concur. Let's not drag the world's troubles, real and imagined, in here. Players should use some judgment and have some tolerance, but truly offensive player material — names, bios, posts — should be reported to the GMs and then ignored.

Above the perpetually offensive? I don't care for either but I'll take someone who stomps off in a huff over someone wearing a dick on their forehead... especially the latter when they're out to 'prove' something. Being an asshole about what you believe is obnoxious from any direction.

I concur that "bullying" is the wrong term and concept here, but this is a BS attitude. Sorry. A general agreement to "play nice" in this special space means deliberate offensiveness is out of bounds, regardless of your sanctimonious intent.

No, I'm glad you did, and I'm a little disappointed at some of the responses. I'm not in the least put off by silly, punning or even mildly double-entendre names; most make me groan or grin. But it's a big jump from that to truly offensive terms and names that provoke only a negative response from everyone who isn't 12 or a 4chan troll. Anyone who can get all puffy or defensive about 'freedom' in this respect probably can't define either word except as "But I Wanna!" If you can't be reasonably civil, this isn't the civilization you're looking for.

Fun is one thing. Shoving your unwiped bum in every other player's face is another.

The +/++ system never made much sense. Was there any gameplay or technical difference between, say, a 25 SO and a 23++ SO?

Unfortunately, the Seattle/Portland axis prides themselves on not having AC. Which is good in terms of power consumption, greenieness, etc. but means no way to keep cool on even normally warm days. And now... And yes, Denver seems to be borrowing PNW weather. Cool, gray, rainy, a few warm sunny patches but then back to rain and thunderstorms and coolth. Weird.

I guess news reaches the PNW on a delayed schedule. 🙂

Thanks! I forget why I originally asked this but I dimly recall having some of the powers without getting the FT icon and menu. But then, I had one alt that took at least twice as long to get some of the accolades, too... not entirely sure the system is entirely linear and predictable. 🙂
