For reasons that I'm unaware of the rewards for Adamastor are almost 3x of other named GMs, aside from Lusca. It's a small thing to have a number of alts parked on that platform, and log in - and if Adamastor is due to be summoned within a few minutes, great. If not, one can either make a note and log back in, port to the sg base to prevent auto-logging off, and then exit at the right time. Or, like me, often get totally distracted and miss out on Adamastor until the next day. Now, they don't camp their characters there 24/7, but they do log in on that platform and are generally ready to go. Sometimes, the platform has more than just a few at 5 minutes out, and sometimes, it's empty and a PSA call has to be put out on lfg to get the bodies there to assist if they'd like. Does that shed more light? If I have 30 alts, 10 on each account and were actually motivated to max out merits, I could conceivably bring on one from each account and get my hits in on Adamastor and collect the rewards on 3 characters, just about every waking hour. But, seriously, that's really not very fun. At least, it's not my idea of fun. I much prefer the labyrinth and Hamidon if I want reward merits and monstrous aethers. But I do have a number of alts parked on the platform, mainly because it's on the far side of the entrance and is a pain to get to. Sometimes, the PSA for Adam goes out, and I don't notice it until there are 2 minutes left until summon - so that's when I log in the alt that hasn't done it in a day.

The truth is, this is a very fair question. I apologize. I didn't see the forest with all the trees in the way, and that's my fault.

6.03???!!! Why in the blue hell would you choose 6.03 and not 5 seconds. Or 1 second. Why the fraction? Just because it's the same time as Team Transport? I will never claim to understand why the folks with the power use these fractions of a second. In combat, I can stretch my brain to imagine there's a reason - balance and all that mathematical jazz. But for a teleport that's only used outside of a mission? Why allow these oddball times to persist? Clearly, there's a method to shorten it to a nice even number like 6 seconds, right? Sorry, I've no idea of how that math works on the server side. But this approach of yours - your attempts to suggest alternative ways, they're a nice thing for a newer player to read, but I already know how to get from pt A to pt B as fast as I can. I already know to scoot under the Team Transport bus. The suggestion is to make the range wider. It's a very reasonable small ask. Now, on another hand, those with super fast speed times might finish a shard tf a full minute faster. (or not), and the times are all thrown out because of the change. But, on the other hand, if it's a simple thing to stretch the radius to 30 feet, than it makes zero sense to me why they wouldn't do it.

And this is something I wish we could do! I almost got killed grabbing explorations because I tried to exit through the wrong gate! It wouldn't bother me in the slightest if PvP zones became simply hazard zones with no pvp at all. But, again, that's me. Certainly not just me. But still, I certainly don't claim to speak for everyone. I have no idea what it would look like, and if it "made sense" doesn't really matter to me. I will always push for everyone to be one alignment so it's all one big giant collection of co-op zones. Even if 95% of you guys hate the idea, I'm always going to love it.

Sending Yourself INF after Issue 28 - An Open QuestionUkase replied to archaelia's topic in Suggestions & Feedback You folks and your slash commands. I think they only time I use a slash command is when I'm making a macro. I have a mouse and keyboard for the other stuff. In any event, while it is accurate that a GM stated that email wasn't 100% guaranteed safe, I've kept literally billions in my email and never lost anything. All my characters can take what they need, when they need it. It's super convenient. I just wish each email could hold more than 999,999,999.

So, maybe I'm not reading this properly? Or maybe you're unaware. Rather than take up a page with this picture, I'll put it in a spoiler section for illustration. Each storage bin, whether it's salvage or enhancements has its own permissions settings. See below: Simply change the permissions to allow others to "Put" so they can unload their loot as well as take it. (or don't let them take it, not my call)

Are they? They are being silly about the slider, sure. I'm sure they meant nobody any offense. But the OP is 100% reasonable in suggesting this change. On a team, everyone mostly clicks exit or uses some nifty bind to exit - and what happens is the people that exit after you due to load time variances, they push you away. And if you don't move - you'll keep getting pushed about 15-20 feet. Sometimes, the player that is casting team teleport may not even say they are, and suddenly, because you exited first - you're out of range of the TT. Now, it's a small matter to trudge under the transport - as the prompt will come up every five seconds or so for 2 minutes. So, we won't "miss the bus". But as fast as some players are, some missions are complete (think Hess and those missions with just one computer to destroy) before you even arrive. As for mission teleport, we already know it doesn't need that 15 seconds or whatever it is to work. I see no reason why it wouldn't be instant, but they don't want us moving fast in the game for whatever reason.

5 what? We took him down with 3 of us this morning. He's just so easy. He's like a pinata. But, to be fair, we were all level 50, and had incarnate stuff. With lore pets.

I wouldn't mind being able to add stacks of 100 either, but I don't think it will happen. I'm certainly not privy to how the servers drive the AH to function, but I suspect the reason they capped us at 10 items was storage. After all the badges and what not, I think we have 200 slots in the AH. Which means the server would have to keep track of 2000 items at present. Take it 100 per stack, and that's a pretty big increase that many players would take advantage of. Not sure it qualifies as exponential...but I'm no math wizard. But it would be a lot more stuff for the hamsters to drag as they run that wheel. The shenanigans with the uncommon salvage, and occasionally the rare salvage? Imagine being able to stash all that stuff to try and manipulate things just a little bit longer due to having that much more storage in the AH. I do feel your pain, though. It's tedious to buy them in stacks of 10, too.

Prismatic Aether: Items and PricesUkase replied to DarionLeonidas's topic in Suggestions & Feedback This is just my own opinion. Prismatics are too easy to get.

Well, that's kind. But Cosmic has rules that are far more restrictive. And the last thing I want is one of 331's famous chancla's being tossed at my noggin. While any member is allowed to complain, I kept a lot of the stuff that defied my understanding of human behavior to myself. It's strange. I come here to just share a little annoyance, and some folks just decide I'm the devil. Well, when they can sell their opinion for money, maybe then I'll be concerned. It's definitely making a mountain out of a molehill. I was going to spend the time anyway - whether they needed the help or not. The irritation is with the lack of communication. But that was early this morning. It's all over now. Heck, it was over after I finished the post.
-
There's nothing to speculate. He asked for help. I offered it like 90 seconds after his ask because I was busy wrapping up an ouro arc. 3 minutes go by after I'd sent him the tell asking him if he still needed help. No reply. My first tell was "Still need a hand?" And 3 minutes later, I send him another tell "Guess not". Then I get the invite. It's like they're on the other side of their keyboard, waiting to see how long they can keep me waiting before they act. (obviously, they were distracted or something..that's just the way it seemed) It's just a tiny rant. Hardly worth the time. It just doesn't make sense to me why someone asks for help, then gets it - clearly, as the mission is complete - but they don't relay any communication to anyone. They don't chime in on the channel they asked for help on and let people know they got the help they needed. Maybe that's an unnecessary courtesy. I dunno. I haven't asked for help doing anything in a mission since we had to simultaneously click on glowies, back on retail. It just seemed rude to me. Someone is kind enough to stop what they're doing to help you, and you can't give them the courtesy of letting them know the EB has been taken care of. Won't be the first time a player hasn't extended a courtesy.

The derailment is my fault. But I was the OP, so it's all good by me. And you're correct, alignments and zones being searchable aren't strongly connected except this: I'm on vigilante, in the abyss. I notice I have a lot of enhancements and would like to sell. But the hami raid is about to start. Now, since I'm a vig, I pull up the /search window, and I don't see the abyss as a searchable zone. And again, the /whoall is suggested. We shouldn't need it. My alignment shouldn't matter. It's a map in the game, it should be searchable by anyone who wants to look. You ask the question why would a hero go do these various activities in the rogue isles, and vice-versa. Why do we have Null the Gull? To make it easier/faster, sure. I have never done a task force to be heroic. I do them for the merits and/or the badge. I have never done a strike force to be villainous. I do them for the merits and/or the badge. See, I'm lazy. While I'm grateful for Null letting me switch sides easily, and the other things Null does, I don't think any of us should have to see Null for that. Keep the alignment and morality content. It's great. But the actual roles of hero and villain, they no longer mean anything in game. But that's just me. I still want to be able to search any zone regardless of my alignment without having to use a slash command.

You know, I've looked at that Data View on other builds and never saw anything worth seeing that I didn't already know. For whatever reason, I never used it this time. Appreciate the reminder.

So, a player asks for help on the lfg channel. Fine. I was just wrapping up an ouro arc, so it took me 90 seconds to send the message to see if they still needed a hand. 3 minutes later, I get the invite. I get on the team, three others have also arrived to help. And I get on the map, and I know the map. Shadowhunter isn't even on this map. All this idiot had to do was say, "No, I'm good". But because I was trying to be helpful, I end up wasting time. I do not get it. /emote Gibbs head slap on this dork.
-
I don't have to use /whoall in PI or Ouro or other zones. I think it would be nice to not have to type out a /command. Remember, there's a lot of players who don't know the command and don't visit the forums. Every zone should be searchable - and not just villains and rogues looking in red side zones. If I'm vigilante, I should be able to search The Abyss as well as The Hive. And Rogues should be able to also. This whole alignment deal is really old. We should make every zone co-op.

So, we'd have our equivalent of the Dow, where we take the 10 most traded/bought/sold enhancements and their prices, add 'em up, divide by 10 for a @Yomo Kimyata index? I think we're in a bear market, lol. "Hey, the stock is on sale! Buy now!" So, I like the creativity of the idea. I've no idea how this would work, so I can't generate any legit feedback on it, other than it sounds interesting.

Halloween Haunted House and Giveaway is Back THIS WEEKEND!Ukase replied to Dacy's topic in General Discussion If the flyer/ad is any indication, we're in for a treat! In more ways than one, I imagine. A very nice job on the flyer/ad!

Yomo is absolutely right with the recharge time on those anniversary Experienced temps. But, that's not the only place to get those - the hero/villain and winter packs also have them. So, just anecodotally, because I have a bunch of these in my character email, I will grab one. And only one. Use it, and it disappears. Then I grab another, and use that. And that gives me 10 bars, and then I grab a third, but don't use it until I use up the 10 bars I have. These are from the hero and winter packs. From @bopper's post, the odds of getting them are just more than 1/4 of a percent. Caveat Emptor!
-
	Stop your complaining, young man!

When each character is responsible for their own billion influence, you have to start somewhere. For whatever reason, I feel compelled to make a billion inf (and the enhancements for that build don't count in the tally) on each character. Using converters has always been an integral part of my inf-making efforts. Buying cheap stuff, turning it into pricier stuff. Sometimes, I get there by level 5 and sometimes by level 45, just depends on how much fun I'm having running story arcs/tfs with that particular character.

This was a case where the description in mids doesn't really do the powers much justice. I skipped it in favor of Acid Arrow. If I were to respec, I'm not sure what I would give up for it. Hmm...maybe rain of fire. Actually, I'm an idiot. I didn't remember the name of the arrow I skipped. I actually have Ice Arrow. The debuffs this thing does in pretty nice. I almost think this should be a defender, rather than a corruptor. And I might make one, but I have a thing for Scourge.

Hatred? Of who? Positron? His armor is ugly...but besides that... Numina? I can barely see her. Penelope Yin? She sure can twerk! (See the cutscene in one of Mr. G's arcs.) Citadel? I don't know anything about this dude. Other than he's weak and always uses the medi-porter when I'm doing the Pandora's Box 5/5 SSA. Manticore? Other than his costume and hair are all the same color, I have no beef with him. Synapse? Just another weak hero. The guy we have to thank for "Flurry". Statesman was really the only one I thought was interesting. I never looked at Stateman like he was Jack Emmert. Why would I? Jack is a real dude, and Statesman is a bunch of pixels.
