This is why I hate non min/maxing advice cause it leads to this BS. let me be clear. You will NEVER. EVER. Do more damage than fire on anything short of water or procced Ice. Thats it. To tag on to this and try and help Zem's point, if the aesthetic were the issue, then that would insinuate that people cannot differentiate real life from a game, which I would hope is not the case? So! Being the bad guy cannot be the reason that people don't play redside.

That'd be kinda cool. I play with the philosophy that most of my chars need to be vig/rogue to not only access both zones/all badges, but also because imo, if they were placed in RL and supers were a thing, there would not be very many TRUE Heroes or Villains. Most folks would be rogue, or some vigilantes so..

Heroes are bland, boring, and generally uninspirational. "I think I'll make a ripoff of [X]!" "Yeah! Go for it!" I mean if we're going to make erroneously incorrect generalizations I want in! I can also talk about the fact that blueside produces some of the most star-allergic people I have ever seen in any game ever to add to the generalization.

Nah not really. Blasters do great damage, scraps are mini-tanks who deal great damage, Brutes are tanks who deal good damage...and obviously support is always nice. Sents need identity/more damage but like Wave said earlier, they need to be #4 in top damage ATs. Sents right now literally do not do much for a team, they're not a waste of space, but they don't add much to a team. As an aside I may sound like I hate the AT, I don't. I want one, but I know right now I'd literally be wasting inf IO'ing one when that same $ can go to a [X] AT and produce way more bang for buck.

Sometimes I’m lazy 😂 But seriously: one of the things I find funny is whenever I mention this, people think it’s wrong; here’s the thing. It’s not some “secret”. It’s not an impossibility or even remotely hard, it’s LITERALLY 5-10 minutes on Mids or a forum search. That’s it.

Yeah. Or a brute. I’ve got a troller that can solo every enemy group no matter what at +4/8, so I know there’s PLENTY of blasters who can easily do it out there. Sents are alright, though. Just not something I’d even remotely consider over a blaster or well...pretty much anything.

This. Plus whats all this about average blasters? Can any of yall saying that explain what’s average? Also 45% def is dumb easy to get on all builds through a 5 second forum search and maybe a few hours casually of TFs/Farmer builds/Half ass market play to get these builds. I don’t think getting that 45% makes anyone a power gamer (thought I saw that mentioned earlier)

Im sure you’re on excelsior, where its really the newish server and all the players are just getting their bearings. I know for a fact no one on torch( the yknow...ACTUAL min/max server really) would be saying regen is #1. Guess you dont know what Bio armor is. Try that and get back to me.

I think DP/Ninja is pretty solid now due to the buffs, of course, compared to any instance of fire it’s not gonna be great damage but yeah it’s pretty fun

Now this I uh..agree with. Like um...why are there so many clubs? I guess I get it if you cant go to one in these times due to COVID but still. I do however like the more casual and laid back mini RPSG/VGs. Those are cool! Would love to get more involved with those

This. I hate over the top plots, and REALLY hate handwaving the consequences, so seeing people react realistically to the things going on in this weird city/world is always a breath of fresh air. It’s also why if I had more time on my hands, I would love to join a Neutral SG thats more realistically grounded, where contemplation of these deeper sociological aspects takes center stage.

I couldnt agree more! Had no idea preshutdown how fun AE could REALLY be. So yeah, leading radios and such like I used to and iTrials? Probably not gonna happen very often unless needed

If I want something, truly, be it iTrial or team content I lead it. Used to lead iTrials all the time in virtue during the summers, but now I’m more inclined to be patient and wait on others to try and lead. Some people dont ever want to lead, and thats fine too, not really their thing and I get it.

Not an issue at all. I like to think like this: If it's inspired by the Tropes portrayed by that character, it's fine! Of course I am just one person so not gonna make any waves in what I think passes as good. Like take for instance, I have a Warlock character (well, two, but the other is not inspired by anything.). I feel his personality is based on the tropes that were portrayed by the likes of Constantine. So, basically willing to save his own ass at the end of the day above almost all else. However, my take on this is he's simply trying to get himself a slice of 'the good life' pie for him and his family; no more, no less. (Naturally, he's a rogue).

This. While I’m no hardcore RPer, even seeing these makes me sad. A whole game of creativity, and then you literal have clones passed as «Homages» like these. For those who do this, do you, but still, doing this and claiming to be creative is well...contradictory. My other issue thats made me a bit reluctant is the abundance of JLA/Avengers SGs. Mostly because A.) there is not enough vill RPSGs that would even act as the antithesis to these (there are not enough vill SGs period but thats another matter), and B.) I tend to assume that these SG’s will cross the line into direct ripoff territory during their arcs. Never been in one but it’s always a thought in the back of mind.

You must have been playing with some extraordonarily shitty builds then to be guaranteed tougher than those two. I’ve teamed with Invuln and watched them fall on my Tank and Brute, while I was not only in the green, i STILL had a nice chunk of absorb left.

I understand the mindset that people wanna claim invuln and Stone as the best. They used to be, definitely not anymore. It is, most observably, Rad and Bio. They are the polished results of years of armor building. My Bio/Spines, if needed( it almost never is) can become a mini granite tank with none of the drawbacks minus the damage thing with defensive. And Rad is just flat out better than the res sets in the hands of good IO builders
